surely one of the finest operators in the uk underground, miles atmospheric released his last album under his own name miles sagnia back in 2014, and now he finally returns to the long player format to unfurl his vision of deep, driving techno. this time he s appearing on finale sessions, and it s the perfect home for his thoughtfully sculpted cuts. there are more outwardly mellow moments such as mensura, and the utterly gorgeous-peace but there is also plenty of space afforded to the sharper end of his creative transmissions. elysium is a dense, rippling throwdown that touches on many different aspects of contemporary house and techno, while rise offers up a refreshing variation on the acid house template. once again, miles atmospheric demonstrates why he s such a vital, if sometimes overlooked, force in the uk underground

heal is the harder and darker of the two. starting with a steady, monotone baseline and solid kick, we are soon immersed into a mind elevating arpeggiation and floating chords that take it to another level.
plight is the more emotional of the two. it’s a mixture of raw frustration with a splash of passion and love. lush pads rain down from above, while we again feel that deep, dark undertone pushing through.

2016 repress , a dark and monumental piece of music, using simple but effective sound patterns, repeating them by adding nice delays and other smart fx, step by step slowly building it up in tremendously hypnotic fashion. striking indeed! on the flip side it s dusseldorf s loco dice, resident dj at ibiza s hippest dc10, a true global player, known and loved for his releases on timo maas label four twenty, josh wink s ovum, sven väth s cocoon and richie hawtin s minus. what a list...! but back to the music. his remix of -1000 miles- is less dark, more funky, smartly playing around with some short soundtips, gliding softly towards a quiet break, before evolving to full power, step !by step. the groove is the key! our tip: this 12inch will definitely be a guiding light for this year s summer, especially on the magic island of ibiza

there are few artists who manage to successfully develop a signature style that not separates them from the rest. aybee is one of those rare few that has managed to conquer a range of styles within his work from soul, techno, house and hip-hop under his many monikers. this time we see the us artist team up with miles sagnia for two cuts each on the eternal radiance ep on sagnias atmospheric existence imprint. taking over the a-side, aybee serves up >a glance< which oozes with classic us house charm. acoustic piano chords and are layered on top of a chugging bassline and electronic melody, tightly produced and melting in its warmth. >isis< gets heavier with a more underground vibe of crashing echoes and tinny drum arrangements. on the flip, sagnias >journey 2 forever< fuses multi-tracked choral chants, the impeccable sound of the hammond and a rapid techy groove. his visual foci reprise of >journey 2 forever< ditches the chants, instead opting for a sensual male vocal
