luca and kai met for the first time in berlin winter 2002, playing long deep sets at some of the shadiest after hours in berlins underground. for this debut ep under the name luca ortega & kai maan, they deliver two deep techno cuts: >kompiuta< and >i thou< using the advantages of both analogue and digital gear to create a warm, deep and driving sound, perfectly suited for the types of places these friendships are forged.
beirut’s nur jaber has joined forces with rising producer luca eck to rework kummer’s pop sensation “bei dir” into an explosive techno one tracker on her own label, osf.
WALKING ON CLOUDS (MARC BRAUNER & LUCA OLIVOTTO RMX)

peter lc, a producer known from small great things >small great tunes vol. 1< compilation (sgt002) which came out last summer, blesses us again, this time with a full ep titled >walking on clouds< (sgt003) coming out soon. the title nails the mood perfectly.
luca duran continues a series of stellar ep s with libertas, released on this own akoya cyrcles label. the uncategorizable swiss-colombian producer embarks on a wide-ranging electronic journey throughout his debut album, a diverse sonic exploration of the concepts of freedom and independence, two hallmarks of his already diverse studio work.
small great tunes vol.1 is varied and offers a traveling dj multiple vibes to choose from. the energy on this new record takes off within the few first bars. the opening track >sport casino< by kid simius introduces a lighthearted mood and 80s synthesizers. peter lcs >sogni dinfanzia< is very likely to become the next lofi-house classic on disco dancefloors around the world. dreamy and melancholic but groovy nevertheless. the b1 track >kamal<, a collab between david silver & luca olivotto is a tasty house mood. the tune features a powerful and groovy bassline and sparkling synth leads all accompanied by rhythmic piano chords. b2 is similar to a2 in the way that its also a lofi-house track with nostalgic moods and careful sound design. with each side of the record featuring both a sunnier and a moodier track, the ep is a perfect fit for summer sets in a heated club or leisurely listening sessions on late afternoons enticing the listener to let go and bringing back memories that have yet to be created.
small great things is a new label from luca olivotto of endless music and its first release sees the berlin-based artist deliver an ep of modern takes on classic deep house sounds. the small great things ep kicks off with an eponymous cut with steadily unfurling pads leading to a breakdown of light, uplifting melodies while rooted to the floor with a jacking rhythm track and bottom end. sometime ibadan and b-pitch producer dos serves up a remix of -small great things- under his given name, francesco mami, where the italian producer turns in a warm but propellant version with loose, rattling rhythms and saturated stabs creating a nifty, rounded piece. on the b-side olivotto opens with -swipe out-, a gloriously detailed track that balances slick synths and gritty bass perfectly, allowing a beautiful vocal to shine through. we are treated to a stirring song on closing track -dont blame me-, where soaring detroit influenced synth pads and staccato melodies combine to create the perfect foil to the vocals. named to celebrate the little things in life, small great things is a label to firmly keep an eye on.
