the munich-based duo mrad is a full hardware generated techno project and delivers here the frst release of their label tuesday slump. their 3 track debut ep keeps all promises and shows us the widespread variety & full range of their work. the a side only comes as a heavy jacking bigroom foorburner. a mighty 303 bass line, hissy hihats & mechanical noises make this track to a perfect techno trip for the late night hours. resident on the b side is a rough and catchy cut whereas hazen takes us on a spaced-out excursion with its beautiful & atmospheric synths. this is raw, this is analogue, this is munich city!

the brooklyn based producer and white material records affiliate galcher lustwerk reemerges with a new imprint and four of his own deep, contorting house cuts with the parlay ep. fans of his 100% galcher promo mix will immediatedly recognize the tracks on this release, which have been remixed and calibrated for club play. the hazy but hard hitting production and laid back vocals are all here, with a bonus dub version of the title track.

a joint effort here as both trip city records andboogie cartel pop the 12 inch cherries with this four track ep from the music obsessive collective. the late night grind ep focuses on some stripped back house and boogie business, heavy sleaze, on this white vinyl 12 inch with artwork from cardiff based kelly havard jones.

boom merchant follows up last years hugely successful *stars/green symphony* with another perfect balance of rhythmic and melodic elements. *surge* is a track that always generates a huge reaction, built around a tight groove with plenty of action in the low end. it is literally smeared with electrical charge and doused in layers of harmonic goodness.

san francisco/paris-based label spring theory is back with its fourth release. called sweet bitter love, it s a four track ep of manic sample-driven house from keita sano, a japanese producer who s been on a roll lately with releases for like-minded imprints discos capablanca, mister saturday night, and strictly groove recordings. sweet bitter love kicks off with the tripped-out flair of -once i found a diamond.- it s an uplifiting bongo-led cut with dubby melodics that sound like the kind of thing sleeping bag records would have put out in the early 80s. jacques renault provides a leaner peak-time version — complete with hard-hitting snares and growling bass — via his -once i found a diamond (jacques renault trouble funk remix).- things take a turn for the delightfully weird on the ep s namesake -sweet bitter love.- starting like a straightforward house cut, it explodes into a psychedelic collage of spaghetti western guitars, tribal calls, displaced jazz fills, and other forms of cleverly sampled soundtrack exotica. the release wraps up with yet another curveball on -bouzouk.- here sano lays out a subwoofer-knocking ny garage house rhythm that takes a left turn with frenzied bouzouki playing charting arpeggios through a haze of echoing foreign voices. taken as a whole, sweet bitter love is that rare idiosyncratic bomb of an ep that will keep your dancers moving and your trainspotters guessing — in other words, it s spring theory through and through.

here one of his big hitters let me go feat. elif biçer gets remixed by deep house legend fred p, as well as leo cubanero and deadbeat. new york s soul people boss and underground talent fred p goes rst and unsurprisingly his track is spiritual and way below the surface, with emotive female vocal coos and skipping drums all laced up in mesmerising and soulful pads. then comes leo cubanero, who has been producing on label like festplatten and nachtfrequent since 2003, and he ips the track into a liquid tech house affair with libidinous vocals and freaky synths and pads that add as spooky air to proceedings. lastly, montrealer deadbeat lays down a sublime minimal dub remix that is gooey and lazy, elastic and seductive in all the right ways, especially when the sexy vocal comes in

jungle wonz harry dennis, marshall jefferson bringing you more classics mixed by ron trent. matthew yates, with numerous classics with stacy kidd such as *thinking of you* drops heat on *hater motivator*. trax records icon alias g gives you that chitown grime that started it all with *i wish you were here*.

the original he serves up here is my groove, a firmly rooted and solid bit of house music with classically inclined vocal chants by gjeazon from crazy like a fox records, that recall eddie amador s biggest cut. subtle details embellish the groove and make it all the more standout, and those deep looping basslines really pull you into the middle of the track, which also has airy hi hats and a sleazy sense of funk. the first remix comes from afterparty founder, rinse fm radio host, former usher tour dj, southern fried affiliate and pioneer collaborator doorly, who also runs his own pigeon hole label. his remix smooths out the kinks and simmers a grainy groove for seven shuffling, seductive minutes. rolling effects and a big breakdown are sure to make for some fist pumping moments in the club. last to remix is play it down producer and foremost danish dj christian nielsen. he does so with an increased sense of urgency and his track hits that bit harder as a result, all thanks to a dirty down low bassline that just rolls and rolls.

straight outta vienna comes a fresh take on the deeper side of techno from two well known producers who team up here under the project name buffered multiple. buffer 01 is the first part in a series of two eps for the lirum larum imprint from berlin.

british powerhouse alan fitzpatrick returns to figure with his second ep on the label after 2009 s weed killer / science . since then its clear that alan has continued on a dedicated, valiant quest to find his own sound, and the results are on show here, with a heavyweight, emotive and futuristic techno three-tracker. like a warm rush of endorphins on the summer breeze, alan s rich up-building sound is perfectly represented in tracks like a subtle change , with its jubilant stab-led melody, or the modern club-weapon vibes of trigger finger . harking back to late 90s uk idm and proper dub-techno atmospheres, fitzpatrick then gracefully crafts a down-tempo, space-out version of a subtle change for the b-side, providing the afterhours sessioners with a new buzz-track.

here comes the first ep by grad_u on echocord. after his remix of stl on echocord 063, he is now releasing a full lenght ep. this ep contains 3 powerfull dub-techno tracks perfect for the dancefloor. born and grew up in a countryside near vilnius, lithuania. started djing in early 97, at the age of 13. been focusing on wide spectrum of sounds: house, techno, drumnbass and jungle. in early 2005 the start of grad_u project took place, focusing on deep side of techno. during the years released tracks and remixes various labels and in 2012 launched two own imprints: redscale and greyscale.

for the dataphysix fans and trainspotters here finally on vinyl! one of the tracks that has been played by heinrich mueller 2 years ago in a special podcast he did for resident advisor. this was one of the unknown tracks and finally it gets an official release. no further info on the producer, just a well produced one sided 12inch with doodles etched in spiral on the b-side. its needles to say there is a limited amount of these.

after the big success of the first classic series by k alexi shelby, technorama is back and proud to present a new release by swedish rising techno producer santiago naura aka bleak. releases on delsin, secret sundaze, deeply rooted and his own driven label naura records have helped him establish himself as one of the new generation of techno producers to watch. swedens bleak is fast becoming an essential part of his countrys techno new school recognised for creating and pushing that vision that’s integral to transcending your experience into something inspiring. his personal style of techno is of the deep, hypnotic,hardware-based variety , that engulfs you and never lets you go. here you can find three brilliant mixes, a real package of hard driving, deep, raw and analog techno bombs, including a powerful remix by upcoming talent stefan vincent (traut, balans, dynamic reflection). hope you all will enjoy these. real head shakers!

after debuting earlier this year on a collaborative split with max_m for parachute records, italian producer wrong assessment lands on m_rec ltd with his very own 12. disillusionment is a tightly programmed techno tool packed with groove. there’s a warm and almost melodic bass line here, clearly indebted to the detroit groove, but darkened as it has become custom with italian producers and their sound. the loops that develop around it are of the hypnotic kind… the sound that recently made m_rec ltd label of the month on resident advisor. parachute affiliate cw/a (already involved in clockwork and avatism) delivers a prime time remix that transform the original into an aggressive techno anthem. playing intelligently with the elements of the original, the remix delineates a very interesting narrative as it fluctuates between harshness, funk and psychedelia. expect major playtime. on the flip side, ‘persecutory beliefs’ is basically a tribute to all proper techno dancefloors. with tension and tightness, the track revolves around a forward driving ravey refrain perfected for those late night sessions. closing the ep, ‘inner turmoil’ follows a similar path, but gets druggier and more crepuscular as it evolves. like throughout the entire ep, there’s a love for proper 90s techno at play here. dark stuff for late, late nights. is it clear that max_m and his label m_rec ltd have discovered major talent in wrong assessment. expect more great things throughout 2015.

the imprint has come a long way since its launch in early 2011 with four years under its belt and a catalogue featuring reputable names such as huxley, dj w!ld, julian perez and east end dubs. here we see the label push on with a collaborative release from swiss producer dan noel, most notably known for his work on memoria recordings and little helpers, and germany s bunte bummler of cécille records / 8bit fame.

the swindlers return and not a minute too soon as far as were concerned! the hardest working duo in house music have had a mental couple of years playing every club and festival known to man, having babies, seemingly buying up the entire stock of vintage studio gear off ebay and thankfully knocking out some banging tunes on top of all that. well all club bangers gratefully received here at freerange so with open arms and ears were happy to be bringing you the figure of speech ep.

on his side ed bangers boss has called frances hottest producers fulgeance and dj oil. they are both representing whats happening right now in france. fulgeance could be the hidden son of the dust brothers! dj oil has been here for a long time, signed to bbe and gilles petersons favorite, he is a man we can only respect. you will surely enjoy his 7 minutes growing funk machine remix

12 inch vinyl in full picture sleeve shrinkwrapped with sticker. the madtech imprint has been running since 2012 and can boast material from the likes of citizen, south london ordnance, applebottom and josh butler across its catalogue, here its a&r prowess is once again on radiant display as the label continues its compilation series following the success of madtech 01. this time round the imprint delivers a weighty collection of hard-hitting house cuts with madtech 02 - ibiza ahead of the impending ibiza season. the compilation welcomes some driving forces in house music at present with the likes of josh butler, alexis raphael, and features rising talents human life, bontan, fabricio pecanha and luvstuff

label head tobias lindén is making his long awaited return with this 3-tracker of deep, hypnotic techno. here, his analogue signature sound laced with organic percussive elements marries with strong influences from tobias frequent visits to brazil.

ednic is the italian duo of nicola di gabbia and edoardo cortopassi, and by all intents and purposes, they’re an outfit that’s on to a good thing right now. the guys make quality, analog-enriched house and techno, the likes of which comes to the fore here on puas puas, a vinyl only label that’s already featured the likes of the mole, alex piccini and carola pisaturo amongst others. first up on the exceptionally refined strands of the auberste ep sis the sounds of the original, which is a barnstorming cacophony of acid flourishes and tension-filled motifs. a track that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat for some time, it features shades of old-school electro and techno, and is the sort of track that’ll definitely rescue any ailing dancefloor. the aforementioned carola pisaturo then perks up with the first of her two remixes courtesy of her brilliant ‘church’ mix. a bumping and grinding interpretation on the original, it too keeps the suspense high, most notably thanks to a dizzying array of melodies and a series of potent basslines. her ‘botta’ remix is a more stripped back affair, albeit one that still speaks to fans of discerning fare thanks to its relentless attitude. full of shiny percussion and the odd sultry vocal smidgen, it’s further indication of a producer who looks set to enjoy an excellent 2015. this is classy stuff indeed from the puas puas label.

l.b. produce return with the second release! here again, phrased merge raw atmospheric pads and crunchy drums together, sliding from the detroit-esque come with me to the more broken beat on the edge of forever , a really diverse ep that closes on an ambient tip with the exquisite mist .

electronic music approximately 35 years after bands like kraftwerk opened the magic box. a lot happened since then and it seems all is said, done and invented. however it is almost surprising that new things still pop up here and there when it comes to electronic music production.
