after the success of the last cirez d release on jel fords jericho label we now have a perfect follow up from another top swedish producer - joel mull. joel has been firmly established on the scene for over 10 years now but lately has been doing some amazing projects for labels such as audiomatique, saved and cocoon. here he delivers the perfect jericho two tracker with the a side - viewpoint having a supremely funky bassline, lush chords and catchy hooks .
PROFUNDO AMOR (2X12)
2x12 Inch
12.11.08
franco cinelli, one of the most gifted new producers coming out of argentina, presents here six uncompromisingly quirky club bombs. his previous releases on milnor modern and telegraph have just warmed you up to his sound. now dive in to >profundo amor< and get familiar with these intricately programmed club stompers. you can call it minimal, but when these tracks go ripping through a big pa, thats the last word that will be on your mind. with the opening track >flog<, you get a taste of the freaky after-hours grit that alphahouse records is becoming known for. >m26< is a robotic hair-raiser for the new generation. think minus on steroids. >twisted machine< features a stompy groove and some snare work to drive the dancefloor. >vertientes< is a great dj-tool with a low-slung bassline and dancing synths. >c3d< bounces along with a razor bassline and some tricky transitions. and >project 64< finishes off the lp with a synth line that falls out of the ceiling and straight onto the dancefloor. truly inspiring stuff here, from franco. no filler tracks. all of these are a-sides

LAST DAYS OF SILENCE RMX (PIC DISC)
Pic 12 Inch
12.11.08
after the critically acclaimed album >last days of silence< projected b12 back into the techno limelight after 12 years of silence, the duo, mike golding and steve rutter have remixed some of the most asked for tracks from the album and combined them with two completely new and unreleased tracks. this limited remix release concentrates on the listening rather than dancing and brings the duos perfect atmospheres, melodies, moods and beats together to create a new take on the best of their album in a way that only b12 are capable of. limited to 900 copies world wide!
SPAWNNOFSPOON EP/ ALEX CORTEX RMX
12 Inch
12.11.08
dj support by dj hell, luciano, troy pierce, davide squillace (dc10, ibiza) and many more... name+relucto first gathered praise as remixers for the aforementioned fool with their demented re rub of drama earlier this year. their debut is a four track vinyl and digital release. longblackcurlyteeth’ is a dark and deadly slice of techno which germinates from stripped sleeparchive style minimalism into a gloopy acid evolution that plunges and skews itself into the sinister depths of foreboding, resonant evil. blueballs picks up the tempo and undulates along a jacking groove of raw metallic, mashed up alien calypso funk. title track spawnofspoon is a demonic mongrel of future styles. this scuzzy hip hop homage is riddled with shredded vocals and mutant bass modulations which explode into a post rave, acid armageddon. alex cotex is in devastating form with his hypnotic rework of lbct, the result is a mesmerising, relentless beast that reverberates a pulsing throb underpinned by a fizzing 303 bassline
BEST BEHAVIOUR EP
12 Inch
12.11.08
in our opinion alex bau is one of the best harder techno producers out there. his material over the last 5 years has been both energetic and groundbreaking. his material for zenit has been particulrly good and this is new release is is no exception. both tracks are different but equally effective. the a side is a driving hard edged techno cut with its pounding kick drum and sharp percssion. the track is punctauted with catchy synth riffs and stabs to great effect. the flip side is truly monstrous with its dark dirty warehouse feel and fat sub bass and string edits. great, great record

12.11.08
gaetano parisio returns to supreme form here for his very own conform label with this monster 2 tracker. gaetano has always managed to be diverse in his style with his southsoul and conform labels and here he manages to create a powerful dance floor killer that will surely appeal. the a side is driven by a monster growling analogue bassline groove and razor sharp production punctuated by cool edits and a superb break which simply builds the intensity whilst the flip is a menacing minimal stripped down groove that simply builds and builds. superb
GENERATOR CHILD
12 Inch
12.11.08
ffms premium label for deep & minimal sounds qualitative high above standard dance stuff is back from the summer break. traditionally lnz mastermind pascal feos himself lights the lnz release oven and adds his label cataloque with two endurance track runners. it may surprise, how airly the runner with starting number 1 floats through the colourful wood of golden october, cheered on by moogy mild hookline that strokes the drum body. from time to time the race track passes some clearings, the chilling atmosphere of pascal feos side-project aural float waves at the horizon. but then he trots on and on embraced by the feeling of runners high. with the racing number 2 the >generator child< starts athletic but thoughtful on his tom tom-dymanic soles, more and more leading into an 808-hypnotic run on black asphalt. a >generator child< speech sample trails off in the dusk and an lfo-spiralled veil of mist twirls over the head of the scared kid.

another quality dmx krew masterpiece we at turbo are longtime fans of dmx krew, so its a real honor to work with him again 6 years after his last contribution to our now defunct sub-label white leather. we dont normally trace an artists history or include much biography in our press releases, but we feel the need in this case to pay our respects to a long and brilliant career. with all the crap that gets paraded around nowadays its easy to forget who the real masters are... ed dmx is one of them. ive always held a soft spot for ed, he was one of my favorite producers in the proto-electro heyday. hearing his live version of the knight rider theme at sona (tigas club circa 96) was (believe it or not) a revelation. of all the artists id met up until then, he was the coolest, he could play synths better than anyone id ever heard, he had the balls to do vocals in his live-set but he was a sweet, softspoken, and super funny guy. for reasons ive never understood, eds pop side didnt seem to take off and for awhile things took a distinctly experimental turn... interesting stuff, but a departure

baker street sits perfectly alongside such great french labels as robsoul and brique rouge and fittingly, phil weeks delivers a trademark deep and soulful groove for lead track. 3 variations on the theme, but label bosses holmes & watz step out of their familiar territory for a smoking hip hop joint to round the ep off. baker street offer a top notch ep that would get even the good dr watson nodding his head to.

HARDCORE GIRLS EP
12 Inch
10.11.08
a brand new ep from the count & sinden, which showcases their love of all sorts of club music, from garage to r n b, from hip hop to grime. lead track hardcore girls is the sound of the much hyped baltimore breaks scene, evolved, displaced and mutated as only the count & sinden know how. fronted by the hottest thing out of b more since the wire, 17 year old wild child of the mike, rye rye. she has been touring the states with mia and, now signed to interscope, she is set to do big things. her unique and energetic vocal is treated to one of the duo’s best bumpy bass grooves and the combined effect is nothing short of devastating. another new school talent picked up on by the count & sinden is ny. bubbling on the uk underground, she fronts the hardcore, jungle inflected soul that is fool in love. this is pop music for the now and tomorrow, a classic love song set to a raucous jungle inspired backing track which has become a live favourite over the summer.finally we have jme, a legend in the grime scene, known for his tight flows, guest appearances and his boy better know franchise. industry gives an overview of the pit falls of getting involved in the trickiest of games... the music business. and who would want to get involved in that shit!?!

the young band cours de performance presents us their debut - release on phonothek. its called one! this varied and extremely good produced record tunes in the club season with a beat of a kettledrum. certainly you hear the influence of the three guys - berlin! the result is a super functional ep, which is played from friday until monday. hammerfall charmed with the warm synthie and the oily clap, which even let the crowd freaks out. white walls the fantastic hands up track, which you never will forget. the amazing song you are thee is definitely produced for the peak time and shakes the sound system with a playful kick. petre inspirescus trash is a small homage to sakadat, but the guys show us how to get more groove from the metaphysical - bomb. rise, listen and start to dance. were excited to hear more of course de performance
THE LOST TAPES VOLUME ONE 1998 - 2000
12 Inch
10.11.08
another serious result from our warehouse rummaging! si begg is a man of many musical personalities, his list of aliases is impressive to say the least (bigfoot, buckfunk3000, lenny logan, s.i. futures, zygmunt janowski...). but one of his oldest, and certainly one of his strangest, is cabbage boy. in fact i confess i am old enough to remember his releases in the early 90s on cassette tape under the umbrella of the >cabbage head collective< (which also included such techno notables as cristian vogel & tim wright) - and pretty mental they were too. the lost tapes vol. 1 doesnt disappoint on that front, containing such gems as a remix of 80s pop mysteries frank chickens>we are ninja<, and an electronic cover version of >king kong< by frank zappa (ask your parents...). totally out there, but totally cool at the same time...highly recommended to anyone looking for something with some real personality amidst the hard-drives full of faceless (and usually nameless) digital fluff

SMILE AND RECEIVE
12 Inch
10.11.08
here we have three tracks from the >some other country< album (k7 records 2007) smile and receive - roger 23 mix : featuring cassy (panorama bar) on vocals . remixed by the analog freak , roger 23 (playhouse /240 volts) hailing from deepest saarbrucken . super sub chicago house track , perfect for late night early morning playing .......pure analog heaven! imagine a morning at studio 54 projected into 2008 - wonky goodness. claktronic - experimental live percussion, flutes, and strange ramblings from the voice of daisy densham (aged 4) , add atmosphere to this swiss inspired house tune . why swiss you ask ? well i keep hearing cowbells! a very trippy vibe that gets into your brain, you will be hearing the loop all day. distress and calling - a blissful philip glass inspired sub bass growler , euphoric arpeggiated voices pad over the deep bass and tight snare drum , making up a fine ep of classic swayzak ........ the bigger the system the better this one sounds. crystal clear production all the way
