Ähnlich seiner bristoler fachkollegen flying saucer attack oder movietone arbeitet er nur dann an neuem material, wenn er es für richtig und wichtig hält. dieses selbstbewusstsein ist jedem ton der neun songs auf -resin pockets- anzuhören, dem ersten album seit der crescent-veröffentlichung -little waves-. es ist ein album geworden, das sich sein eigenes plätzchen im britischen outsider lo-fi-pop schafft. eine zusätzliche prise des anti-folk-feelings macht aus resin pockets ein werk voller zeitloser melodien, bewegender texte und einem ganz besonderen gefühl sommerlicher intimität.
