his desert brothers ep, consists of 3 tracks, hide, withdrawal and, of course, desert brothers. it’s not easy to classify the ep in a specific music genre. all 3 tracks have a very distinctive drums programming and groovy bass. they could be easily played in a big club during the peak time of a set or at a dark basement during the after hours. they have this strange deepness that calms you down but at the same time the first kick after the break easily gets your fist up.
here at the genial headquarters, we always try to find the balance between things, people, relationships, music and maybe stefan dichev has just done that with his desert brothers ep… he found the balance!

following a noticeable entrance onto the dame-music roster with the dame-music 021 *the jonh red hawk project*, anaxander returns on bloody marys imprint for an other fine ep. with a deep, spooky and atmospheric introduction, *you saved my life (brothers and sisters)* cruises through with rolling drums and metallic bass softened by pads. this subsequently evolves into that anaxander signature melody as the track twists it way to an uplifting mood.

the sixth volume in our luv n haight edit series featuring 2 hard-hitting tracks from turner brothers is a throwback to the classic edits sound courtesy of sun sound records owner, edit master and renowned record collector paolo scotti. with several recent edits under his belt including classics by touch of class, joe thomas, and ultrafunk as well as a compilation of rare disco and soul from his sun sound records label imprint based in italy, the time was right to tap him as the next producer for our ongoing series of edits from the luv n haight catalog.

the manic brothers ep begins with praying mantis , a deep techno offering using a swelling bass line that rumbles under the track whilst the distinctive synth phrase shifts the groove of the track. life after life is a more euphoric and delicate take on techno and uses subtle percussion and melodies to create an ethereal felt track.

the manic brothers - voices huge hypnotic stabs generate a late night dub that uses sparse percussion and interesting delay effects to mesmerize the crowd. hidden history includes lots of snare rolls and a stab that is infectious whilst rolling over a heavy kick drum.
