as well as being a resident at moscow s denis simachev bar, leonid lipelis has been slowly making a name for himself as a producer for some time. there s a whole raft of lipelis remixes for the nu-disco set dating back to 2006, but it feels like the russian producer has stepped up his game of late. inbetween some killer edits for lies and an upcoming public possession 12- as tmo, lipelis dons his beard in dust guise for the latest release from the mysterious bahnsteig 23 label. if you were a fan of that aforementioned lies release or any previous bah 12 its highly likely you will dig the four cuts here with lipelis drawing for some obscure sources with eminently danceable results.

after retiring from the jamaican police force arthur duke reid established his treasure isle liquor store and sound system in pink lane kingston and was crowned the undisputed king of sound and blues in 1956, 57 and in 58. the duke then moved into record production and after relocating the store to 33 bond street, he then built a recording studio on top of his new premises in 1966. according to the musicians and singers the wooden construction of the treasure isle recording studio gave the music a distinctive warmth and richness and with resident engineer byron baron/smithy smith at the controls, the sound of a bond street recording was immediately recognisable.

label head geddes releases his first full ep on nofitstate with suzie boos dark room presence headlining proceedings, german collective snuff crew step up on remix duties, injecting a grimier sensibility on their take whilst flip sides baby continues the darker theme, this time with an acidic tinge which alexkid locks onto in his remix which rounds off the release, making the 303 the theme of the track with josh caffes vocal refrain adding a hypnotic bent.
