Side A features two incredible Latin versions of disco classics - first up is Louie Ramirez' laidback take on 'Do It Anyway Ya Wanna' by People's Choice filled with funky piano riffs and great mellow brass followed by a wonderful lost version of Barry White's 'Can't Get Enough Of Your Love Baby' by Puerto Rican Willy Chirino taken from his impossible to find 1977 'Chirino 3' LP. On the flip we get the 'The Barrel' by Majesty, an über-rare slice of exhilarating synth-laden Latin disco worth the price of this 12' on its own. Next up is 'Afro Hustle' by Lou Perez, a super-cool grooving gem plucked from his 1977 LP 'De Todo Un Poco' and lastly the excellent 'Escravos De Jo' by Brazilian drummer Dom Un Romao, a killer jazzy Latin track covered in the 90s by Kerri Chandler and Joe Claussell. A superb package.
