part 1/2 of his amazing album. intelligent communication. since 1967, astronomers have been receiving and cataloging very precisely timed radio pulses coming from sources they call pulsars. they have long assumed these to be natural sources, exotic spinning stars that emit laser-like radio beams that sweep through space much like lighthouse signal sequences. highly regular flashes and complex signal ordering are produced through intelligent modulation of their beam s intensity and direction of polarization. more significantly, through their seemingly purposeful geometrical alignments, pulsars appear to be conveying a coherent message. are these beacons from an intelligent origin? and are they warning beacons to warn us against the next shockwave that comes of the active galactic nucleus ore want they attack us? it might be prudent to consider whether we are talking about friends or foes.....mike storm.

heralding from brighton, married (production) couple sam and tracy presented classic with some music classic was very familiar with. not only is sam a member of the legendary gramme, but has also featured on a number of past luke solomon originals for classic…so are already part of the extended family. classic immediately warmed to the music and the music already felt at home. looking for the right remixer begun - classic played the tracks to long-time member of crazy p - a certain mr basejam and immediately leapt to them and remixed not one – but both of the records on the ep as he loved them both so much. the result is a meeting of minds sounds and words.

valioso013 comes this time from our beloved italian friend, mattia lapucci, his mixing skills are likewise his productions, just absolutely incredible. minimal in his perfection with classy drums, trippy percussions and synths are involving through the whole room when you hear the bonaffucci ep, but not only the originals are made of high quality sounds, regarding to the remixers section with vera, famous for her appearance at perlon, comes out with a very special remix as well as piticu, the outstanding talent from bukarest shows up with a drivy, romanian high class eat.

for finitude music s 5th release, label owner marcel heese and alexander kowalski aka d_func. share their visions on thought control. both tracks on the ep harbour the same intent, but each of them approaches it in a different way. d_func. s take revolves around sahko-like bleeps, if you are into early mika vainio or sleeparchive, look no further! but instead of being loopy, it s definitely a builder. its original trance track-like structure is sure to rock many an underground dancefloor. marcel s vision is slower and less straight-forward but creates and maintains a high tension. based on dense a bassline and intricate soundscapes, it builds up slowly, only to explode halfway through. an extra payoff also comes at the very end of a track, its noise/ambient outro making a perfect way to wrap up an amazing party at 8am somewhere deep in the heart of berlin.

mikkel metal was the first artist on echocord, and the main reason why the label was started back then. after many many releases we are very happy and proud that he now returns with a full lenght album. more than 7 years after his last long-player album mikkel metal returns with a new album for echocord. bypassing dub-techno as the starting point, this is music clearly consistent with earlier output. we are presented with 10 tracks that all evolve with around a melancholic melodic framework. while there is clearly a nod to detroit and another to dub- techno, the overall impression is consistently and unmistakably the sound of mikkel metal. a hypnotic, very enjoyable and thorough return from the danish artist.
