studio bruno is the joint project of johannes beck as well as his friend musicians and producers. the concept of studio bruno is based on a one week stay at studio bruno in an old farmhouse in steigerwald, franconia, a lovely nature park in north bavaria, where each musician invited brings a machine or an instrument of his choice. the focus of that week is the common producing and live improvising.for the first record steffen bennemann (nachtdigital) and sevensol (kann) were invited. sevensol brought his tr-707, his monotron delay and steffen bennemann came with his field recorder. the result of this one-week session is a deep house track with a distorted synth line and a krautrock-slash-funky jazz track!

crimes of the future is a new label from timothy j fairplay & scott fraser, and follows on from their night of the same name at the berkeley suite, glasgow and in plastic people, london. timothy and scott both work out of andrew weatheralls basement bunker studio on scrutton street and are part of a group of djs becoming known as the scrutton street axis. timothy is also one half of the asphodells with andrew weatherall who released their first album *ruled by passion, destroyed by lust* this year on rotters golf club.

yukazu, a band formed by lenuschka krueger and mike hermann, look to combine the charm of french chanson with gypsy balkan groove. the band was completed with the addition of rafaele castiglione who united the group like a kindred musical spirit. he reworked each track affectionately, telling his side of the story so you can look at it from a different angle.

in the spring of 2012 yot teamed up with scottish born vocalist soom t (renegade masters). the product of this recording session? the first track on yot 4, the moody epic funk shuffle beat banger *the cure*. rising synths, tough beats and heaps of squelch all pushed up against soom ts unmistakable flow. a sure shot was born.
as well as vocal and instrumental versions of *the cure*, yot 4 features the grinding slow tempo burner *day won* and hypnotic ballad *g.i.m.p*. to record the ep the core four piece signed up a fifth member, multi-instrumentalist markus pyorala. it follows up last years *bitch bender*, which mixmag made album of the month, and drops on harmonia and losonofono.
