blackman: begins with a jazzed out acid house beat and progresses into a journey of ryhthms. the appregiated melody lines, bring out your inner jack as the acid lines sneaks up on you so sweetly. yes, i m jacking to the pulse with the four on the floor!
dancin: previously released on the digital only >jack pulse ep< (synapsis002), dancin is built on a melody line that constantly filters together with sparse sounds and vocals that say, dancin. what an acid banger, seriously you will start dancin.
binary: a video game synth is abundant in this track, mauser turns this sounds into a jacking melody. i m appreciating this chicago techno story. bounce, bounce, bounce.
regenerate: says, >time for the techno beatdown<. mauser shows us his love for techno as regenerate moves and bangs.

space ranger comes from the stars. the trio based in stuttgart have a wide experience and an unlimited love for music. in their previous disguises they have done remixes for the likes of kool & the gang, sugababes and kurtis blow, but now they are absolutely focused on this new project. space is the place. he three members their dj careers in late 80s / early 90s and they are strongly influenced by the deep club sound of those days. combining sophisticated production skills, a huge range of analogue equipment and a long-term experience of what works on dance floors around the world they know how to move the crowds. by accessing to samples taken from a huge collection of old-school dance, disco and soul records they are creating the distinctive and sophisticated house and disco sound of today

nice price deal !!! >a night on the wonk< is on an experimental tip with highly addictive horn and chime hooks. the gemmy remix takes the chime section, gives it some of the well known purple treatment and turns it into a highly distinctive but slightly sickly intro. i say sickly but thats perhaps because i have listened to it a lot of times in a fairly short period of time. however we are then treated to a bleepy roller with moderate variation to keep things interesting. this makes it perfect for an early set or casual listening. >detached reality< crackles its way through some haunting vocals and evil guitar riffs creating a tense but soothing atmosphere ? detaching you from reality, sinking you into your seat while your mind starts to play tricks with itself. what are we really here for?

the track is the result of the subs inviting partyharders over for some first class partying, what else? when the spirits were high, someone had the luminous idea to do some vocals all of a sudden ... right? the subs placed a mic in front of mon colonels nose and the rest is history...

the one-two kick drum beat that starts “in the dark of the night” functions as a bit of a tease. instead of merely establishing the languid pace of the track, it has the power of suggestion, and its stark nakedness raises the question of what will happen after the music fully launches. a few seconds later, a punch-drunk, flanging keyboard is the first clue that the listener is in for an off-kilter ride, the sauntering bassline that next appears adds a springy, funk bounce. but it’s the tripped-out, multi-tracked vocals of fernando miranda rios, aka michoacan, the producer behind this slow reveal, that give the song its peculiar, space-yvibe. it’s like david byrne with funk aspirations and a vaguely cosmic feel. the b-side remix, courtesy of italy’s clap rules, feels like more of a re-build. the song has been taken apart and put back together with brand new parts. instead of more relaxed, dazed funk at the core, it’s a glittery, disco-ball splattered track with glossy keys all around.

fresh & ltd repress !! mark murphy is a jazz singer legend. he started in the late 50is, ruled the 60is and his records are a hipsters must have since the 70is. then he came to fame again when one gilles peterson got him into dingwalls in the late 80is and japanese producers united future organisation made murphys version of stolen moments (he wrote the lyrics) really big. recently he releases his second album love is what stays on verve (germany), produced by famous german trumpeter till brönner. another famous german producer, yes its henrik schwarz, touched the original track with its deep vocals and full orchestrra arrangement and created the ultimative fusion of jazz and the recent deep house sound from berlin. extremly tasteful. you will never heard strings, wooden brass, and such deepnees of murphy featured in the recent clubcontext but will do thanks to henrik schwarz. different to many others this remix gets released right after being finished in henriks studio so you can say this is the sound of the moment
