trolldans once again opens its musical tome of fairy tales, this time featuring the gif-ted sound sculptor edanticonf. in his chapter of the trolldans volume, edanticonf presents us with the three crying fairies. it is a tale in four parts of desire and tears - as every good story should be. the first fairy tells us about a lake in the deep woods where a young princess called tuvstarr once lost her gold heart. no creature of the forest could convince the princess to let it go, and so she stayed there by the black lake until she turned into a beautiful flower. the second fairy tells us how the princess, before she lost her precious necklace, would ride like the wind through the forest on the back a grand elk. the princess loved the thrill and the elk loved the princess. vril steps in and actually lets us hear the noble elks heart racing from both the pace and his devotion to tuvstarr. the third fairy ends endanticonfs beautiful but melancholy tale with a glimmer of hope: by the darkest of lakes, the loveliest flo-wers grow. the end.

here we bring you an amazing ep of atmospheric delight stunning bass sounds with an amazing remix from zefzeed. both of these artists are very talented producers and very professional and it gives us great pleassure to have them on board with us at trapped ldn. born in republic of moldova, suolo is one of these young producers of minimalist music that sets no boundary in terms of style and musical horizons. after a few trips during the year 2012, he learned to assert his artistic difference both melodic and underground. he signed on labels such as um passo, sleep is commercial, leone music, in records and many others who have helped him to become known to a wider audience.

mindtrip presents mt13, which sees another young argentinan talent - farceb - making his mindtrip debut. farceb is a producer whos been pricking ears over the last couple of years with strong releases on labels such as arts, orioni and circular limited. he now joins pfirters imprint with his superb signals from space ep. exoplanet war sets things in motion and is a stylish, entrancing tune, which, if it wasnt for its intrinsic energy and power - would border on the somniferous. next up is signals from space, a tough, brutal and percussive workout, punctuated by dark, organic synth stabs. this track builds and rolls along in a way dancefloors will love. unknown shadow is a powerful, stripped down merciless lump of peak-time techno which cleverly blends atmosphere and hard hitting percussion. the final track - the superb hyperion, is a 6 minute, deadly exercise in pushing intensity and tension to (and sometimes beyond) commonsensical limits. this is mindtrip music!

sami baha is a young producer from istanbul, with his roots in the turkish hiphop scene, who has been stealthily pricking up ears with guest spots on rinse fm and nts since he moved to london last year. he started this ep ‘mavericks’ while he was in istanbul, saying “the music i produced became more chaotic as istanbul became a harsher place both politically and economically. i didn t really design it that way, but i feel like the sound got more aggressive over the years”. he describes his music as ‘instrumental trap‘, but instead of trap vocals there are complex arrangements, although he has started to work with vocalists while he’s been in the uk.

seems like somethings going on across the pond at the moment with seemingly blossoming, or at least rejuvenated scenes in the united states and canada. our last handful of releases on freerange have included artists from montreal, tujuana, pittsburgh and chicago and were about to add los angeles to the list with this new one from justin jay and ulf bonde. the young producers have been steadily building steam with a number of fine releases the last couple of years and we welcome them to freerange for their debut ep entitled indecision. the title track sets the mood with a low-slung, super-deep house groove complete with an intimate vocal and a charming simplicity which contributes to the powerful end result. elements come into focus then disappear in a fog of reverb whilst playful guitar picks add a live jammed feel to the loping groove giving things a bob moses/francis harris kind of vibe
