australian michael ozone, currently operating out of melbourne, is an artist embodying the purest form of absurdist energy. this debut offering, is but of a fraction of the entertainment we can expect as his career zig-zags forward. perfect systems is a tuff native track based on the idea of man-made tools, technology and borrowed languages. imagine failed cities overtaken by jungle life as youre swallowed by this utopian island groove. a not-so distant relative on side-b,hetrotopia leads us on a nomadic journey, exploring vast new landscapes and uncharted territories. references to new beat and horror soundtracks are apparent, but no matter what fantasies we infer from ozones music, his talent for crafting such fiction is a welcome addition to the esp institute.

welcome reisssue for monster soul-funk lp >disconnection<, one of the most obscure and sought-after releases from top 70s disco label, prelude. ridiculously expensive and hard-to-find in the original, this album is stuffed full with killer tracks spanning warm, soulful disco, high-stepping groove and boogie-heavy funk all written and produced by robert holmes. standouts include the jazzy free-style >dead on the case<, later reworked for the mysterious french skyline project, cool jazz-funk groover >bay city<, recently edited by none other than balearic maestro lexx, and the floor-friendly chunky funk workout >cash money<. however no track is a filler on this superb album which fully deserves its holy grail status with collectors. essential!

great album featuring some hot electronix! hailing from spain this is the first release on this d.i.y. label! intense uncompromising tracks of which the a side is rooted in classic detroit techno and electro. the b-side takes the listeners into orbit with some amazing spaced outed tracks. a pleasure to welcome this new label that delivers a first run of only 200 numbered copies on heavyweight vinyl! lets hope they will manage to do a repress at some point because this is too goo do share with only 200 people!
