mark e last delivered on futureboogie back in november 2014, so it’s a welcome return to the label for the birmingham based dj & producer. with his merc imprint running on full steam, and previous releases on revered labels like spectral sound and running back, mark is becoming an ever dependent exponent of the real and raw house music vibe, and no more so than on the basement trax ep. basement trax 1, distorted synths wander over a low-slung beat, the marching hi-hats and filter work are tweaked to perfection. it’s a track of basic elements, but done so well, the arrangement building steadily and bags of warmth and soul deep at the heart of this track. the gnarly bass and classic string sounds of basement trax 2 make an ideal companion piece to the a side. delivered in the finest wild-pitch tradition, the raw sounding production packs a punch as the stomping drums and repetitive keys ramp up the heat for a real blazer of an underground club cut.

copenhagen’s music for dreams label is releasing the third edition of their popular sunset sessions series curated by kenneth bager on limited edition vinyl. ‘music for dreams – the sunset sessions #3’ is compiled by danish dj, producer and club owner extraordinaire, kenneth bager (aka dr baker), the label boss music for dreams and one of the most prominent curators of balearic and chill out music.

2017 repressed .... we are delighted to welcome back detroits rick wade to the landed records imprint. a guy who needs no introduction in the house and disco music scene, ricks stable career as a dj and producer has spanned more than two decades. treating the world to some of the best loved deep house and angry disco tracks, its easy to see why hes such a well loved and respected artist. the adjustment of status ep spins a terrific story of raw house music and angry disco - two sounds where rick is well and truly on top of his game.

northside ‘82 is proud to welcome smart bar resident savile to the label for our second release. entitled suffer play, this three track ep imagines an alternate reality where minimal house takes an extended detour through chicago, strapping on the city’s famous jacking percussion for a more robust but equally razor sharp sound. “spaced” opens the record with a jolt of jacking house, pairing a limber bass line with tense percussion and pinpoint vocal samples. “1pm morning” is inviting and warm, a richly crafted environment lit by by resonating bass, wallpapered with sharpened guitar strums, and decorated with jangling percussion and clavinet accents. closer, “recipes from nowhere”, is the dreamiest of them all, letting melodies bubble around the track’s bass line backbone and swaddling listeners in melancholic pads. altogether an exceptional record from one of the city’s brightest young.
