for the second release on her return to disorder label, helena hauff taps into the dark underbelly of the athens techno scene and presents the undoubted talents of greek producer morah. a resident at athens party phormix, morah has clearly been crafting his productions skills in private for some time as this three track 12inch is a powerful display of techno at its dankest. solution sets the tone, dipping into gnarled acid electro that seems to teeter on the brink of all out chaos with fellow a-side track take all similarly nasty. morah gets a chance to show his more experimental side with up in flames, a scorched exercise in freeform electronics with some particularly haunting vocals.

dynarec started making music in 1994. his productions, influenced by drexciya and dopplereffekt, are a mix of deep atmospheric pads and leads with – cool to very heavy – drums.his first releases on delsin in 2003 and 2004 were picked up by dj’s such as laurent garnier and dave clarke. after some more records on nature and kondi, he started his own « vaporwave » label in 2005, four records were released to date. he is able to fill in some very emotional and melodic workout that makes you wonder, how is he able to do that? playing piano since he was 6 years old could be an answer to his performing skills. apart from delsin, nature and kondi, he has also released on southern outpost, electrix and lately, on keith tucker’s puzzlebox label (us) and on cultivated electronics (uk). dynarec also releases music under the names of speakwave and chris kalera. he has performed worldwide, including festivals such as the famous stereolize, in paris, and the amsterdam dance event, amongst others.

dutch powerhouse creme organization started a brand new label entitled jericho one. the man behind the first ep is berlin based brit bnjmn, who has released on label like delsin and rush hour and has a strangely melodic, lo-fi sound. opener skur is a hurried techno jam with frosty textures and bleak industrial vibes. it sets the vibe for the total feeling of the ep which is way more floor facing compared to bnjmn s earlier productions. this is a truly out there and wild ep that once again finds bnjmn experimenting on the outer fringes of the techno world in his own unique, distorted way.

were so excited to be the guys that get to deliver you this guys debut release. luca murgia has a sound all his own he really like tom toms, he likes spacey flourishes, and overall he likes to deliver tracks with mobile electroy grooves married to the stability of house. the thing that really makes him special to us is the naturalness of feeling he achieves in his productions he has a neatness to his grooves everything lines up so the body can move freely and the dancer be in a state of flow. all four tracks on this ep have real singularity of intent in their sounds and rhythms but vary dramatically in intensity.

charolastras are a group of experimental electronic musicians with a keen interest in ancient rituals involving dance. in many cultures from the past, music and dance were closely tied with shamanism, spirituality and even combat. these traditions continue today in some parts of the world where music isnt solely for entertainment, as is often the case in our modern western society. the group s goal is to spread a message of peace and unity with their music. this intention is evident in the blissful ethereal textures used in their mellifluous productions. but their sound can also have a harder edge that evokes conflict, not calm. this is all by design because, as charolastras like to point out, sometimes you have to fight for peace .

the exotic * sombra india* gets to works with slick guitar licks and a driving beat, enhanced with powerful and captivating vocals from eduardo castillo. already a firm favourite of damain lazarus and luciano, this has been getting a huge response on dance floors this summer. on the flip and the cut-up afro-house * sanura* is highly exotic driving monster of a tune, no messing around, straight to the dance floor!
german native sis shot into the limelight in 2008 with releases on cecille and ricardo villalobos label * sei es drum*, which up until that point had only showcased ricardos own productions. no stranger to the crosstown rebels catalogue, he delivered the first ever rebellion release and then later the * round pen ep* on crosstown rebels in the summer of 2012 and the more recent * slider* on rebellion. other productions have appeared on esteemed labels such as cocoon, 8bit, connaisseur, get physical, with a more recent album on cocolino.

carl finlow could be regarded as one of the cornerstones of not only 20/20 vision, but also of british electronic music. his boundary pushing, electro-tinged productions under the random factor alias make for essential 20/20 listening, as does his work as 1/4 of 2020soundsystem. while this year has been about looking to the future of the label, we also felt it was important that we looked deep into our history and revisited one of our all time classic records: random factor – broken mirror. on the a side carl has prepared a new ‘revisted’ version for this release and this is accompanied by the original version from 1999. for the remixer we thought long and hard about someone we felt would be suitable. someone with pedigree in the electro scene, who would feel as passionate as we do about making this release something truly special. there was only really one person we wanted and luckily when we contacted legowelt he was a big fan of the original track and was super keen to get onboard the project. we hope you enjoy these two pioneers of the electro scene going head to head x

möd3rn is a global project from 3 wellknown artists who wanted to give a side project from their own solo career. it s a band, producing, playing live but it s also a label created only for the trio productions. each releases will propose 3 tracks from the 3 artists. for that first one the famous trio propose 3 huges bombs mö4, mö5 and mö6, 3 huge techno killer using rough skins with raw edit. speech less and listen to that we can call pure techno.

subion is a project from the minds of pier giuseppe mariconda and nicola virnicchi, that was created at the beginning of 2013. a 4 hands music project combining digital technologies and analog machines on both live performances and productions. subion sound move beyond the borders of dance floor concept producing a dark techno and mental sound. an electronic concept mixing deep roots with esoteric sounds, psychedelic dub, ambient and drone. the boundaries of classic clubbing techno are transformed and reshaped into new forms placed beyond the borders of sounds including shades coming from contemporary trials.

after the immersive techno pulse of qindeks effe 12inch, wavereform is thrilled to present the return of rising lativan talent juras lietus to our label for our fifth release. his debut single des-m marked our second release in 2014, and while the artist remains something of a mystery outside of his home city of riga, his productions sport the kind of well-travelled tones that transcend geographical location to deliver an infectious message. the single kicks off with metallic thump of >steiga<, which leaps out from the very start with an addictive chord line and a well-rounded kick. juras lietus handles the progression of his track with poise, feeding in a rich tapestry of percussive elements and teasing the filter on that distinctive synth to give the track a fluid, psychedelic flavour. balancing these elements out is a warm, undulating bassline that injects a joyous energy into the track, while the soul-stirring speech sample should be familiar to any socially conscious dancer. its a production that satisfies the needs of a party-hungry dancefloor while equally delivering the internal reflection that comes with all great dub techno.
