mutiny makes its debut on ovum recordings with two dance floor monsters. longtime friends, this collaboration seemed destined to eventually happen. they have been quiet for a while but the boys are back with a fresh sound! on the a side we have the title track >swimming with sharks<, an eerie and mysterious rolling tech house monster. this track is made for a big system and will drive the floor nuts. on the b side we have >you didnt want to<, which is another peak time monster. with its underlying vocal, this track builds with swinging drums and great use of effects. two incredible peak time tracks that should be in your sets through the summer
two words : no compromise. feedback (minimalrome) delivers some nasty acid house vibes for pitch black clubs based in dangerous at night sex-district. sandro galli (acv, hot trax), one of the true italian acid pioneers, is back on wax with an out-of-this-world track that just doesnt stop climaxing into oblivion.. minimum syndicat explores the catacombs of the original acid rave sound : sinister 303 lines drenched in cavernous reverb, taking control of your nervous system like an alien parasite
vinyl only release !!! mr g. is most definitely back on track. up hill battle ep consists of 2 house tracks in true g style. from the time the synths felt warm and fuzzy, mr g. is the master in creating this atmosphere that feels like coming home. laced with smooth vocals and moving basslines this is a warm welcome in the world that seems so cold and digital these days. strictly limited 12inch, vinyl only!

label bosses are back in tandem for the sixth release on micropunto: wine ep, which also marks the beginning of micropunto schallplattens vinyl era. wine ep started as a back to back game after a spillage incident. ikkaku and d-gelo started producing two separate tracks in their respective stations and every half hour they swapped seats, building the tracks as they went along. the result is this musical experiment that sets the trend for all things to come from the micropunto clan. they spilled wine on me kicks in with a deep lead stab from the catacombs. the elements appear on the scene in a stride to resurface. it goes up then down, left, rigth, it gets dubby, then back in your face. in i spilled wine the beat unfolds steadily like a bulldozer coming up to the surface in search of the true sound. next we meet the preacher. with a subtle housy piano lead he puts us in the right track, reminding us that the dance floor is made of sand and we are on the rivers bank. listen to the flow. lord techno, you are my music. originally inspired from a dub tune featuring ras ajay from the spaceship sound crew in london, dubwine closes the triangle with a huge dub flare. fat subsonic bass and broad stabs make this track a serious contender on the dub techno charts. its the producers blink of respect to the reggae culture that has inspired them all through the years, hence the vinyl release.
braille serves up a firing couple of tracks on rush hours direct current sub label.... tip!! braille is better known as praveen, who forms sepalcure together with machinedrum. he uses this new alias for his house orientated output. >the year 3000< is a vocal house mover of anthemic proportions. it craftily reworks a classic chicago house vocal and gives it new life back into the future. banging! >leavin without you< is built around a heartfelt vocal soul sample, which cuts in and out of the mix leaving room the music to take off leaving planet earth.
out of the blue we have a new redshape! after a year of silence he is back and delivering one of his best works so far. cutting edge dancefloor material that will keep them moving like theres no tomorrow... limited as always, so dont sleep on this one...

12 Inch 27.04.11
for our 68th release we welcome back the collaborative genius of chart-topping duo doomwork (alex catalani and claudio maura). with their last 100% pure release >andromeda< making the dj likes of adam beyer, dubfire, karotte, paco osuna, riva starr, butch very happy, we are delighted they have returned with two expansive and excursive space-inspired tunes complimented with stellar remixes from christian smith and 2000 and one.
the founder of swedish techno has earned a reputation as a diverse and evolutionary force within techno thanks to a steady stream of quality productions and so mote-evolver welcomes cari lekebusch back to the label for his second release with open arms!
the opening track from the debut simon baker album was always going to be a strong choice to be the first single. no pressure has received unanimous praise since the albums release and is back with new remixes by art department and simon himself. its rare to get great stand out vocal tracks that dont split opinion, but this seems to be one of them. its slick, deep house of the highest calibre with a stand out hooky vocal from debukas. art department, owners of ras number one track of 2010 drop a superb remix, adding new vocals and teasing debukas back into the mix for a pretty special, hypnotic workout. simons >upstate dub< mix finishes things off. it aims things directly at the dancefloor in his signature, deep and twisting style.
mo record kicks is back! and act ii is an even heavier collection of rk exclusives, b-sides, remixes and material that appears on cd and compilation for the very first time.

WITH OUR HEADS IN THE CLOUDS AND OUR HEARTS IN THE FIELDS (CLEAR LP + MP3)
Coloured 12 Inch LP 26.04.11
for their new release, >with our heads in the clouds and our hearts in the fields<, these two have somehow gone back in time to capture the sound of glacial moving, dark cough syrup pop music. mr. wiltzie has manipulated his trademark stars of the lid sound of haunting ambience, deconstructing, and funneling it through the beautiful voice, and song compositions of chantal acda. together, sleepingdog have gently abducted these gaseous tones, and choruses of pacific tree frogs into some beautifully crafted melancholic orchestration that reminds us all that we exist in a world of strangers, drifting only two feet apart. >with our heads in the clouds and our hearts in the fields< is sleepingdogs third album after >naked in a clean bed< (zeal - 2006) and the critically acclaimed >polar life< (gizeh/zeal - 2008).
comes on clear / translucent vinyl, including code for free digital download.
the boys are teaming up again! the name is lonely, but you are not lonely at all. niconé and philip bader are setting up two mad tracks for your sprawl over the dance floors in the cities and over the countryside. knowing how to use the sharp blades of selected beats and emotions, they just wanna get on top of you. so get ready for a bright summer with wandering open airs and screaming hands in the air. spoony talker give you the right mood and put their mad soulful vocals into lonely, filling the last available free space between techhouse-beats and piano-hooklines. together with mama simba you should be prepared for a wild ride through hot funky peaktimes near chilly lakes and rivers. back in the club animal trainers remix is pulling you into the flickering lights. time to feel too good to be true, cause you wont survive the summer without these tracks...
limited pressing on white wax !! sublime deep techno feat. killer sandwell mix... surface re-emerges from the murky depths of londonshire with part 2 of the new project / sub division >beneath the surface<, a series of releases forthcoming sporadically over the next year or so, delving beneath the surface and blurring the boundaries of the deeper shades of house and techno. between worlds sees sandwell district team up with nick dunton of 65d mavericks fame with an ep dedicated to long time friend and nicks fellow maverick richard polson r.i.p. the a side sees nick delivering his trademark emotive sounds.... lush harmonies, deep drones and echoing stabs line the track whilst the phasing drums, keys and melodic sub bass keep the journey moving beautifully towards a crescendo of harmonic drifts. on the flip long time friends of the label sandwell district strip back the layers with a special mix for rich. sandwell move the track towards the dance floor with rumbling bass lines and crisp beats morphing in and out of lush sustained textures. this mix bears all the signatures of yet another classic sandwell district track coupled with a pure and deeply felt emotive touch! timeless and beautiful, this is a heartfelt tribute to richard and is already receiving widespread support from those in the know!
supported by luciano, douglas greed, gorge, the glitz, mihalis safras, kombinat100. spring has already arrived at his secret playground: the warm air is filled with cheerful laughter and bare feet are moving rhythmically in the green grass. mollono.bass reveals a very laid-back character but also a very independent and open-minded approach to electronic dance music on his debut album. the first track in the meadow represents not only a humorous hint on the best possible place to listen to this work but also creates kind of atmospheric foundation for the entire album in its light and fluffy manner. the lively hustle and bustle on the hidden playground happens in many different ways: sometimes it s the frisky bounce of hopping basslines and stimulating house rhythms, sometimes its hypnotic sound structures that take the listener on an adult adventure. but above all its the unmistakable sound of real instruments and their melodies which create that earthy, organic groove of mollono.bass, a groove that gives rise to mighty spring feelings.
repress on black vinyl ... luigi rocca (better known as marshall) is back withhis friends buratti on sphera, with a massive slamming tech housetune. as patners in this adventure we present two excellent remixers:the italian hugo (great stuff, mobilee, formatik, kling klong) and thefrench hero kiko (goodlife, rekluse, datapunk, break new soil)
surprising release by gerd on the basement series with an old classic themed techno track he found on a dusty dat tape while archiving some old recordings. somehow a traditional techno track with metalic basslines, stellar string sounds and retro futuristic vocals with a classic theme... time & space. the original slower paced version did get an reshape/makeover that gives it a 2011 update that will be a standard record in the box for many! remixers on duty are rotterdams duplex duo who are back in business and deliver two remixes. timeless tracks that will stand out between all dj tools!
dualton first came to the attention of the electronic dance music community back in 2008 when john digweed spotted their potential and included them on his bedrock 10 compilation. the original mix of formula was released last year to widespread critical acclaim, and now gets paired with a remix by cadenza regular reboot to take the release to the next level. in typical reboot style, the outcome is darkly twisted as it is infectiously danceable, and expertly blends house and techno production values to devastating effect.
manmade is back again with another collection of floor filling club bangers. this time with busta, one of the uprising beat kings from down under, timothy wisdom & the funk hunters, out of canada, with another shining example for unbelievable mashup work, and the well known funky breakbeat builder jayl funk from bavaria. as you expect cmc&silenta did it again with something for the ladies on the dance floor. check out the dynamite side! two versions on here, couldnt decide which one is better, both are killer tunes in different ways.
this killer ep from samuel dan starts as it means to go on with the massive sample loops, and has been custom-made to keep those hands in the air. an infectious, bouncing bassline ebbs and flows through the track, while the tight percussion will keep those feet pounding the floor. octad and phiorio take the controls for the third track. their remix of wake up call is stripped down and funked up. like a prime larry levan cut, funk, disco and house collide but without the mix ever becoming cluttered. the elements are used sparingly and to devastating effect. last but not lease we get samuels original mix in which the brass instruments take centre stage, with trumpets heralding deep bass grooves. they are going to be rocking this one down in the treme. bring on the summer! to finish off this ep in style, heres the floor-filling back home. its immense builds and eminently catchy hooks are guaranteed to spread smiles across the dancefloor like a disease.
the three tracks for this release go through a wide range of our sound. >cyclone< by samuel dan and feygin is a throwback to the way dirtybird records sounded back in 2006, raw and fun with big drums. but >cyclone< sounds amazing compared to the sound quality of some of those old records we all love, a definite update to the old db vibe. b-jus >babbel net< is his follow-up appearance to last years bomb track >my sneakers< that all of us played 1000 times. this is more in the smooth 808 style of dirtybird while still giving you some punch and melody. this record works really well for me and this groove crossover into a house set no problem. last but not least is maelstroms >you play<. this is a real monster, not so much for the house heads but instead for those of you who like to cross genres and explore the bass regions during your sets. definitely not your friendly deep house record this one is a real db banger in the tradition of big dirty bass we love here in san francisco.
and the story goes like this: skipson (also known as knarf skipson in the past) was recording the >ks editspot pt.1<, which is based on samples from a rob mello track. as skipson is a nice fella, he sent the final version to rob. and as rob is a nice fella too, he liked it, sent one of his tracks back and this project was born. thats the easy way of sample clearing! this 10inch is about house music, as simple as that! groovy beats and fat basslines, rough and ready. limited to 500 copies - enjoy!
majestys pleasure volume 1 has finally arrived and for many months these secrets weapons have been burning up and hypnotizing the dance floors of the worlds more discreet discotheques. this is the first in a series of limited releases from majestys pleasure with a very special introduction from the labels ambassador strom vandenburg who after a rather jubilant and successful career as the netherlands number porn star has now decided to turn attention towards another passion of his lustful disco reworks. these productions are strictly for lovers of early prototype techno, twisted cosmic excursions, back street boogie and new jersey garage which will leave all the bedroom bloggers out there with a confused inquisitive look upon their faces
after touching the sky with the first 12 inch, the fiakun boys come back to load a second reference signed by robin masters orchestra. oliver marquardt in collaboration with desney bailey bring us to a classic house tune, full of nuances and romance >dance with the moon< is completed with two high level remixes. sasse, on the one hand, reinterpret the original with a lighter mixture that brings us to a more organic scene. on the other hand, matthias vogt, draws us with a more mixed present, leaving aside his musical education to give us a very very tasty remix for hot nights
having opened 2011 with the splendid debut by young and talented ana helder from rosario (argentina), comeme is back with its third release this year and is as usual a display of unpindownable style that demonstrates once again these musicians have a firm understanding of rhythms and dancing and, most of all, want to communicate to very different people and not just to a certain musical context. chilean pop is a true special ep that digs up comemes connections in santiago de chile and sees some of the most beloved artists of the label remixing a couple of bands from the current and awfully exciting underground chilean pop music scene, a real breeding ground of young music talents at the moment.
the 1st ep >from the vaults: the definitive sounds of prescription records< launches a series of highly coveted deep dance classics from this legendary imprint. kurt harmon aka cei-bei on >comin back<, the vocal version of >pop, dip & spin< and ron trents >piano track< see the light once again.
we want miles is now available on 180 gram double vinyl after almost thirty years! on the heels of releasing miles bitches brew live album, music on vinyl is also releasing another miles davis album that has been on their wish list for quite some time.
strong follow-up single by swedish newcomer sivesgaard (his debut in co-operation with noir on parquet rec. was back in 2009), incl. massive remix package! while ricardo tobar (traum / border community) turns the original in a huge rave-monster, oliver schories again shows his unmatchable feeling for melodic & groovy tech-house. grab it!
the winter saga continues this being the second release on art of vengeance, aril takes yet another turn in style, or rather back to the sound of the winter ep that was released on kompakt in 2007. the title track is is a journy in melodies built in layers, trying to fit as much melodies in one track without going over the line. maybe it is over the line? tundra is a bit more on the rough side but with arps and chords coming in and out while glacär/for minou strips things down a bit to a more bassier and warmer sound with string/chords, less melodies and more groove
debut ep release on pittsburg s rotating souls label with 6 new tracks by east liberty quarters (grandear, buscrates 16-bit ensemble and nicerec.), early 80s synth driven boogie funk instrumentals, a la dam funk, taking you back to the days of radiotron. a pressing of 300 copies only!
for his latest musical offering kupper offers up two versions of the superb >bloom< a deep and melodic slice of underground house. warm filtered keys, rich bass, percussive riffs and old school drums come together to create a compelling piece of house with a laid back vibe on the original. the >jazz mix< follows the lines of the original version with the addition of some perfectly placed jazz guitar parts to lend a further musical note. wave music is well known for its eclectic musical output, ranging from tough techno, to quality electronica and underground house. with this latest release with eric kupper they have proved once again that whatever they do put out, its always of the highest quality.
tiago is one of those guys who are able to make a summer, a festival or a trip really special. he is doing the right thing at the right time and is always prepared. in his company every single minute turns into a remarkable happening and once you are back home you keep asking yourself why he cant be with me all the time. that s reason enough to dedicate him a special tune. the same lovely thought had solomun and emerson todd and deliver a dreamy and a groovy version of tiagos destiny. after last summers smash hit manaus madness gunnar stiller hits the jackpot again.
christian fischer is back on the statik entertainment-label. we have got brilliant remixes that we want to share with you. so here 2 great remixes by morphology (zyntax motorcity, abstract forms) and youandme (cutz.me, ornaments) on a 12 inch vinyl.
mainrecords is back - stronger then ever!
we are proud to present an very talented upcoming artist from athens/greece called billy on air. growing up in a house full of music had many influences by different kinds to him. he started playing the piano at the age of 6 and that you can hear on his first production for mainrecords wich is a very aelodic and well produced hybrid between techno and trance. for his debut we got some cool remixes, the first one is from our long-time friend frank leicher who has stripped down the original to a techhouse bomb in his typical style. on the flip we present a crazy technoid remix by noone less then alex bau. his repaint uses just the essential drums of the original.
nice price deal !!! fix aka orlando voorn is back with a good dose of techno & funk.... this is a detroit style extraordinaire. intro is a short skit preparing you for whats about to hit your speakers. dr technofunkenstein is made in respect of the p funk era and is symbolizing the true essence of the funk in a 2011 jacket. you can find the vocal as well as the instrumental version on the a-side. on the flipside there is the title >juice< a technofunk outfit with solid beats and p-funk influences. the outro proves once more there is nothing that fix is doing is un funky. straight up no nonsense jams on this ep. a must for the real technofunkateers!
