milan based collective just this return with two va releases to continue their broken promises series. with the aim of documenting the progression of cultural movements, the label have pursued underground material since 2010. broken promises part 3 and part 4 are due for release on 1st december and 8th december respectively, and each feature four new tracks channelling refined techno with minimalist, ambient sentiments. hunter/game open part 3 with distance, a meditative journey through ambient textures using expansive synths and vast acoustics. next, architectural brandishes 808 drums for a tense workout on electric soul. on the b-side, label co-owner pisetzky explores the darker side of minimal on anterial, whilst altman plays with moody bass and ricocheting percussion on shapes. part 4 opens with a shuffling rhythmic framework on inlands aechmea, followed by zona, a pointillist groove by ben gibson, aka one half of the collaborative project dyad. on my flowers kundal, a cyclical melody wanders through eerie acoustics whilst hiver navigates a broken beat framework with glitchy distortions and dub echoes on stellar parallax landing

katermukke 150, eine collection von insgesamt 4x4 brandneuen tracks. sounds von magit cacoon, dirty doering, niconé, midas 104, marcus meinhardt, kid simius, paji, einmusik, pilocka krach. katermukke präsentiert sich bunt und soundtechnisch offen, nie eingefahren und festgelegt auf einen bestimmten style. mit dem 150. release sagen wir danke. katermukke bleibt in deinem herzen ein besonderer berliner spielplatz für elektronische musik. sam shure sagt, seine heimat sei sein wunderland und wenn man auf dem 4. teil unserer katermukke 150 serie sultan feat kairo steps hoert, bekommt man eine idee davon, was das bedeutet. sam shure ist bereits bekannt durch seine außergewöhnlichen releases auf mukke. sag es laut! pilocka krach is in da house. ein roter stern, nichts gefälscht, nichts versteckt. dieses mädchen bringt dich zum schreien. ay caramba, der zweite track auf der a-seite ist voller wilder beats, kombiniert mit ihrer auffällig einzigartigen stimme. schmutzig, lustig, funky du wirst vor ihre füße fallen und mit ihr schreien. aus leipzig kommt dieser einzigartige klang. schlepp geist, unter anderem bekannt durch mehrere veröffentlichungen auf katermukke hatte bereits viele top 10 hits und verzeichnet dementsprechend viele auftritte. der junge hat talent und wir werden noch viel von ihm zu hören bekommen. grande finale mit lady m aus südafrika, mit ihrem geraden und intelligenten sound. jume ist genau der richtige track für die tanzfläche.

it really feels like we (aka mad mats & tooli) have been around way longer than 5 1/2 years with local talk, but it s really true what they say, time flies when you re having fun! from what started as a somewhat simple and almost primitive urge to create a small house imprint has now grown into a much bigger affair. we really tried hard to keep the label from getting stuck in any genre (remember 90s house?) and to always keep the local talk relevant, curious, diverse and with a healthy dose of underground mentality. from our very first release with bassfort s excellent moon shadow in the summer of 2011, we had a crystal clear vision of what local talk should represent...house music in any way, shape or form! over the years we released soulful, disco, jack, afro, vocal, deep, jazz, tech, latin, old school, acid, uk, berlin, new jersey, detroit and of course chicago inspired house music. if it made us bump...we put it out! this brings us up to today and about +80 releases later. we thought about how we best could sum up these first 5 1/2 years and immediately the image of blaze s classic album 25 years later popped up. besides the fact that it s an amazing album cover it also a good representation when different musical genres fuse together. it s not strictly a house album but just as well a r&b, reggae and soul album. this fusion and variation of house sounds is something that we ve tried to capture on our 5 1/2 years later compilation, split into two parts. on part 2 you ll find a high energy disco rub from parisian s3a, a truly deep and soulful vocal jam from boddhi satva & sly johnson, a deep uk garage production from smbd (aka simbad), a dark and electronic affair from toto chiavetta (yoruba) and finally a musical acid number with that magical bristol touch from newcomer marcel lune. all in all we think we got most angles covered and hopefully this album will make you spread that chalk on the dance floor and get down...local talk style

just this s first various artists aims to the research of a mix of sounds by producers from different countries, to a journey into a variegated world. melancholic vibes, deep ambient atmospheres. the second part of the various artists, gets straight to the point, reaching the dancefloor in a more hard and deep insistent way. the first track inside world is composed by hunter/game, as a playful banger with a solid kick, brushed percussions and surging, subtly atmospheric synth pads that make the track dreamy while fierce. the second one by pisetzky comes with a strong, continuous 4/4 bassline and organic percussion from start to end, further on dominated by a hypnotic melody followed by a more romantic and dreamy motif full of longing melancholy and eternity. the third one comes from just this new artist altman, with a breaking mellow downbeat theme, it lets all squeaky sounds mesh nicely like a dream landscape opening up into a widescreen chord progression, with an epic build up.
