dripping out of the pores of tokyo high-rises, aquarium deepspace serves up his debut vinyl release and the second instalment on natural sciences. drawing on a palette of 90 s detroit house music and the electronic tropes of his home town of japan, midnight at the tokyo central is the unspoken soundtrack for the lost souls of the metropolis, recounting the ecstasy of smoke-filled dance-floors, the touch of dry ice melting through a fur coat, and travelling through neon at 6am. narrated by two separate protagonists under one identity, deepspace side explores muscular acid trax, aquatic pads and throbbing deep house jams for the floor, while aquarium on the flip is coated in hazy electronics and dopamine drained murk, drawing on field recordings taken at tokyo s central train station (rainy night in shibuya) through to lush subterranean jams laced in serotonin nostalgia.

resopal retrieves two more smoldering remix cuts on transparent vinyl. safe to say that both of them - the a side by heidelberg s casio casino (aka steffen neuert of bergheim 34 ) together with lopazz - and the stunning b-side by our marseille connection roar - are absolute stompers. what we have here are two finely crafted remix versions of the original that seduce the dance floor in totally different ways. both contain perfectly structured arrangements that creep up on you with the stealth of a ninja, making them a real pleasure to mix with. the heidelberg guys show a minimal disco hybrid version of the original. from the moment the bassline emerges from a dense thicket of white noise the pair make their intentions clear. with expertly-crafted sequences punctuated by dramatic crescendos and distinctive mood changes their re-work is a melting pot of styles and influences that somehow manage to coexist, creating a rich montage of sounds and textures. on the b - french duo roar deliver hallucinogenic, long, patient grooves followed by some fantastically understated sonic tweaking which gives the track a real kick without ever losing that empty, laid back vibe.

i ve been inspired by the seasons, sounds of nature, the stars and the phases of the moon. observing these elements helps me realize that i am such a small piece of this universe. with all this in mind i began producing a 4 season album series.
we start off with hokkori shiyo - which in japanese means *smoking a joint together with friends*. this is an organically composed production which synchronizes with the elements.
my father recorded his own natural frequency and you can hear his defining voice during this track, combined with the frogs from a lake.

brilliant tv and movie themes by francois de roubaix!!! on 20 november 1975 francois de roubaix disappeared while diving. before going towards this tragic death, francois had received an order for a television series theme tune commissaire moulin. as usual, the composed melody has been indelibly printed in the collective memory. francois de roubaix always put his fingers where it should be! between electronic tricks and acoustic works, this record brings the themes of this television series together with other musics composed for never released or still unknown projects... all unpublished music, never pressed on vinyl! it soon becomes clear that francois de roubaix feels confortable with this kind of exercises. the result is every time sublime. recommended!!
