san francisco/paris-based label spring theory is back with its fourth release. called sweet bitter love, it s a four track ep of manic sample-driven house from keita sano, a japanese producer who s been on a roll lately with releases for like-minded imprints discos capablanca, mister saturday night, and strictly groove recordings. sweet bitter love kicks off with the tripped-out flair of -once i found a diamond.- it s an uplifiting bongo-led cut with dubby melodics that sound like the kind of thing sleeping bag records would have put out in the early 80s. jacques renault provides a leaner peak-time version — complete with hard-hitting snares and growling bass — via his -once i found a diamond (jacques renault trouble funk remix).- things take a turn for the delightfully weird on the ep s namesake -sweet bitter love.- starting like a straightforward house cut, it explodes into a psychedelic collage of spaghetti western guitars, tribal calls, displaced jazz fills, and other forms of cleverly sampled soundtrack exotica. the release wraps up with yet another curveball on -bouzouk.- here sano lays out a subwoofer-knocking ny garage house rhythm that takes a left turn with frenzied bouzouki playing charting arpeggios through a haze of echoing foreign voices. taken as a whole, sweet bitter love is that rare idiosyncratic bomb of an ep that will keep your dancers moving and your trainspotters guessing — in other words, it s spring theory through and through.

max guld was a post-punk musician from glostrup, denmark one of the western suburbs of copenhagen. in 1983 he formed a band called den forspildte elite with a friend from high school taking inspiration from experimental art punks the residents. from the beginning of 1984 to the beginning of 1985, he recorded a solo album in his 30 square meter apartment. the result was a 40 minute cassette titled for enden af corridoren released in 1985 on hub records that was limited to 100 copies.

haunted doorbell are timothy j. fairplay and matilda tristram who released xylophone together last year on astro lab recordings. picking up where xylophone left off unconnected thoughts on jacking is four tracks of naive melodies, rough slamjack drums, and new age atmospheres. starclash kicks off side a, with its dramatic arpeggios and sid chip crashes, techno to soundtrack the saturday night laser show at the planetarium. following is a night of adventure with its eastern scales and washy broken chorus unit hiss. on side b we have beautiful sheffield - an ode to electronic musics (possibly) most important british city and the title track rounds of the ep - house music for listening to while looking out to sea.

new on the delsin x-series is my home is sonic, a standout techno, dub and minimal album originally released in 2001 by icelandic producer arnvidur snorrason aka exos on ae recordings. exos is the son of dub techno producer octal and released three albums in his career, as well as a swathe of fine eps on labels like thule, mosaic, slow to speak and has recently being picked up by nina kraviz. his ability to build great atmospheres and heady soundscapes was unrivalled, and though they bottle up influences, they are always fresh, wintry and compelling. few have done minimal dub techno better before or since this masterpiece album, so it s right that 2015 sees it revisited by fans old and new alike.

contium is a berlin based techno duo formed by bruno giordana and jonas schenkyr. the record opens with *the p-wave*, a heavy bottom-end, dance floor-oriented track, with echoed sounds and reduced grooves creating real club vibes. feel the great spatial depth given by the air between the beats. the track on the b side is called *aeromagnetic dub*, and this one goes even deeper. the percussion and chords deliver an incredible rhythm that gradually hypnotizes the listener. it features local field recordings and filtered, brushed, acoustic drum-loops.

toronto native and production chameleon sean miller joins the ranks of josh winks ovum recordings. after recent releases from the likes of wink himself and vince watson (who released the labels 250th release at the end of 2014), miller takes the helm for this bumping, grooving slice of tech house mastery with a latin twist.

illusion limited is the limited press sister label to illusion recordings. the label will shine light on new artists and sounds not currently represented on illusion. the first release kicks off with the highly talented manchester based artist seelie who delivers two slices of subtle, classy deep house. this ep has been a while in the making and shows a real development in seelie s sound from classic house to deep textured and hypnotic house. blm provides a huge remix on the a side stripping things back and letting the analogue bline and minimaistic drums create a heady, yet dancefloor track. dilated pupils provide a unqiue broken beat remix of the hypnotic desire on the b-side to round things off and kick off this label in style.

a couple years ago developer created a modularz sub label named - developer archive - the idea was to slowly release tracks taken from his personal collection and specifically made for his live dj sets. through developer archive these tracks are now being released in a limited amount and the chosen selection are the ones that developer felt made the largest impact in clubs and venues around the world.

the fx mchn has unplugged itself from the london housing trust offices just long enough to run off these three documents for narrow gauge. art 2 mouse starts with a gritty, little drum box punching way above its weight before the heavy machinery rolls in for reinforcement. mono life slows the tempo with a close-up shot of the intricate interlocking cogs of an fx mchn track. on the flip side we move to a wider-screen format for a helicopter ride over the oil-drum beats and tribal chants of no place to go .

from the lands that time forgot birdie is proud to bring you an ep of the highest quality from the artist currently know as causa. hailing somewhere from up in the hills on the border between deepest darkest east lancashire and west yorkshire (thats up north to you lot) causa joe is a long time friend of trevino marcus. joe is underground and a lover of proper house music and has never been interested in music trends (he is a fisherman for christ sakes). he has been making music under various guises for 15 years with an apparent 6 year gap to go fishing. he has had releases with 202/20 vision tusk wax and paper recordings to name but a few. as marcus and joe still meet regularly for a pie and a pint its no real surprise then that this ep of some of marcuss favourite music of joes has come to pass. enjoy.

illusion recordings off shoot label innercircle is back for its fourth edition with french house wizard andrade stepping up for his debut ep with the illusion crew. andrade featured a remix on inc003 on james barnsley s huge spellbinder ep and after delivering the goods illusion were keen for him to flex his musical muscles across a full ep.
andrade has been on a rich vein of form recently releasing on delano smiths mixmode label, one records and dessous to widespread acclaim, cementing his standing as one of the most talented house producers around.

030 recordings proposes the third release on vinyl. a new original work of three tracks signed by producer micol danieli which end with a charlton remix. the style is well marked by the sound of acid roland synth and drum machine sounds reminiscens of the underground dancefloor of the early nineties.

after 15 years of full time dedication to the deejing art, kristina launches out herself with her own label amsafe records. the idea of the label was born at the beginning of kristinas career as a mandatory necessity, and her vision to create her own productions. traxx1 will be composed of three cuts that taken as a whole is 12 inch, solid and with retro reminiscences.

paint en pointe is a compilation of selected compositions by eugene ward, otherwise known to most as dro carey / tuff sherm. the tracks have been taken from a series of performance collaborations with choreographer patric kuo over a 5 month period. the performances, which occurred monthly in the latter half of 2014, took place in spot81 gallery in chippendale, sydney. kuo and ward, along with a roster of dancers, were invited to create new dance works that responded to the exhibition occurring during the given month. throughout the series many ensemble types were explored, ranging from solos up to large groups of as many as 16 dancers. patric kuo is a sydney based dancer/choreographer originally trained in all styles, but presently heavily draws his influence from hip hop and contemporary dance. coming from a performing arts and commercial dance background, kuo has expanded his ideas about communicating to an audience, moving away from the traditional entertainment relationship towards an approach that includes engagement more informed by performance art
