the first new release from the legendary detroit techno label mechanisms industries since 2004! to start off this new partnership, we offer a very special remake 12inch project from germanys own cult heroes, obscurum. the project consists of remakes of the ultra rare definitive hard techno track dom, originally released on e-com recordings in 1997. obscurum first appeared on mechanisms industries with a ground breaking 12inch called subtle changes. catalog: m1978 and we are proud to release this new project. artist involved in the 12inch release include: exium: nheoma, planet rhythm. reeko: mental disorder, planet rhythm, emergence, and mechanisms industries owner, fanon flowers: warm up, numb.
originally released on analytic trail at the end of 2007, c est la vie (and b-side oasi) marked the debut for joseph capriati. since this time capriati has gone on to become one of the hottest names in techno with releases on the scenes labels including drumcode, clr and sci and tec.
to celebrate the success of this favourite son of naples, analytic trail are releasing a staggering set of remixes of two tracks from joseph s debut release on the label from the best names in techno: umek, ramon tapia, xpansul, ortin cam, hauswerks, gaz james and abnormal boyz
the mighty umek gets first crack at c est la vie, turning in a typically straight to the point remake, dropping the distinctive percussive hook over a jackhammer groove. ortin cam (drumcode) adopts a more minimal approach with firing snare rolls and a distorted, buzzing cutup loop of the original hook. rounding out the first part of this package is xpansul (ovum, soma) with a dramatic, stringladen take that bounces along on a tough but funky bassline.
d.a.v.e the drummer s mighty hydraulix label licks into the new year with 3 tracks from croatian rising techno stars miche and mirzinho. relatively new on the scene these two brothers have already rocked out tough and funky techno tracks on much loved labels adult, ying yang and pornographic. if you like us you are sick of hearing badly produced techno tracks with over the top effects and nonsensical breakdonws. and you like to go nuts on the dancefloor instead of standing in the corner scratching your chin. then this is for you!
new release from amigos recs. with a bomb track from dj link and j-nat, and remixes from david moleon, peppelino and darkrow.
it is with no surprise that amigos recs. is becoming one of the most wanted labels on todays techno scene. bringing together some of the best artists from the four corners of the globe: preach, axel karakasis, a.paul, dave the drummer, wehbba, and other fine producers. amigos was able to maintain the high standards established since its very first release with valentino kanzyani.
for the sixth release, portuguese dj link produced another dance floor bomb together with spanish artist j-nat. entitled impression , it is one of the songs that we will see charted by many of the biggest djs in the forthcoming months.
as if this wasn t enough, label owner dj link invited a selection of fine producers to make the remixes this track deserved. so, sexto ep from amigos recordings will also feature three amazing remixes from spanish artists david moleon and darkrow, and also hungarian producer peppelino.
second release on klimaks comes from italian tech house favourites nice7.
they ve done tons of great remixes for mark knight, d ramirez, patric la funk, dataworx, bodyrox and the list goes on ... now its time to release their own original productions as well. first up is their tech house monster scappiamo which has been requested a lot ever since nice7 + highprofile djs started playing the track in the clubs.

2nd remix comes from canadian dream team carlo lio & the junkies. they recently had a huge underground smash last days on rawthentic music and they are following up on that with this tight and groovy remix for the tech house heads out there.
c series goes for the smash and grab and gets all funky latino on your ass with 2 tracks of funky floor shaking techno. c4 - cuba libre: this original latin house track gets a monster of a rework to kick things off with a bang, yes i couldnt resist! the deep warbling bassline and rhythmic stabs lead into the original vocal. from there it all moulds into one intoxicating cocktail to put your best foot forward and stomp away, it blends so well youll wonder why it was never done in the first place!? c4 - suavemente: something even elvis would be proud of im sure, elvis crespo that is! this international spanish hit gets funkd up a treat, pure ass shaking dancefloor material. put a funky bouncy bassline, those well known vocals with some rolling percussion and its like youre back on having your own holiday in a club!

quartz music return with yet another roaring ep. this time from belgiums hermanez.
opening track hocus focus is a full spectrum. opening with its tribal drums, the addition of cascading techy sounds and then its techno stomp. the brutalness is appeased by the wonderful deep synths that fuse everything together.
next up is the more stripped, minimal sounds of served . a colder, more moody electronic feel to this one, it pops along, locked into a vicious groove. white noise builds create the drama throughout.
finally don t try this at home continues with the heavy tribal tide. rolling drums, a plethora of toms, and a bag full of spooky sounds and efx, make a strong set building track.
kirk needs no introduction, as a long serving electronic music devotee, a quick glance at kirks discography shows the scale this extraordinary talent has contributed to electronic music over the years. it is therefore with huge excitement that abstract forms brings you jitter world. featuring three tracks of deep techno business, jitter is a full on, peaktime dance floor mover with extra drive, that will undoubtedly appeal to the djs as well as the deep techno lovers amongst us, whilst back in my head and traject lay focus more toward the deeper end of the techno spectrum. its kirks groove on the dance floor and his deeper experimental electronics that make this ep fit perfectly within the abstract forms ethos.
nice price deal !!! released in 1992, its most popular versions were the ones by l.t.j. luca trevisi ( ltj xperience) and dj art. the tune has been a floorfiller all over the world, despite its downtempo rhythm. tamekas voice was in its early days, she then became famous thanks to living joy, reaching no.1 in the uk charts. this new treatment (the first one since 1992) is care of the mysterious super value team. check this out...
organic house from john roberts who used to play drums & violin for 15 years. thats one of the reasons why his music is such playful, rhythmic, challenging and melodic
after the success of their first 12inch release the horse meat disco boys have whipped up 3 more cute little edits that after months of plugging have now been proven to send dance floors both home and away into a tizzy. for a ride is a bit of a horse meat disco anthem in the shape of lucky by donna summer and its been tweaked to extend all the glorious bits that made it one of the unsung triumphs of the bad girl album. next up is a reworking of karen silvers sam and dave cover of hold on, which gets twisted into a mid tempo disco rock out, whilst finally an obscure outro on boney ms bonoonoonoos album gets flipped into a track in its own right. with its distinctive record sleeve and good quality vinyl the latest in the horse meat disco edit series aims to wet the record buying pallet before their first compilation is released this summer.

when he isnt busy touring and recording with various artists as a session drummer (most recently with one beyonce knowles) guillaume jambel aka giom djs and produces deep house music. with only a handful of releases and remixes under his belt on labels such as amenti music, black cherry, tango, eight tracks and aroma its obvious that he is eager not too to spread himself too thinly. this makes us even more privileged to get him onto ornate music. and he certainly doesnt disappoint on blue matter ep which kicks of with bring down the walls a deep house disco builder promoting us to... you guessed it bring down the walls. with a metro area style bass line, warm keys and popping percussion this is bound to make you do exactly thatàin fact it should probably come with a public health warning. i know you were right, probably not something we say very often but here giom says it like he means with a tough kick drum, sweet seductive female vocal, bubbling bassline and a whole heap of other good stuff thrown into the mixer. this phat slab of deep house will brighten up the cloudiest of days, have a listen im sure you ll agree. hailing from brighton c soul are magnus asberg (head honcho of on the house records) and jimmy day. they have appeared on labels such as diy discs, suspect package and have also collaborated with house music legend robert owens on german label plastic city. for c souls on the house remix of i know you were right they strip it right down to the bone and produce a haunting, electronic house music rework. you know we were right!

yet another live/production outfit has sprouted from the fertile techno soil of amsterdam. its name - gimikk - echoes the unpretentious attitudes and sounds of our flourishing underground scene. it was the open and co-operative spirit of our new school techno generation that brought daniel sanchez and eelco augustijn aka. e-contact together. after two well-received eps and a lot of hard work their debute album is a fact. we present to you untitled concept, a killer collection of tracks set to shake up dancefloors around the globe.
the second release on the cologne-based techno label 200 comes from our friend jean-vince luccini, who has released on well-renowned labels such as treibstoff, dumb unit, trapez, curle, roman photo and sinergy.
his breaking down remix is inspired by the original track >breaking down< by raphael sage and relatif yann - our favourite summer tune! billie jean vince is a dark flitting techno monster, the circular limit is a hypnotic groove tune.

the second of three 12inch samplers from the gavin russoms latest cd. this features extended versions of the album tracks domination and anthem. inspired by equal parts euro disco, wonky early electronic body music... and a fascination with the outer reaches of global psychedelic rock.
passionate, uncompromising, resolutely underground. a few words to describe the work and career to date of swedens finest real techno exponent, grovskopa. masterminding two high-calibre labels with frequent appearances on other imprints of repute, whilst giving a voice to the techno community through the nursery forum, he is clearly one of the harder working producers around. >make tomorrow< is the next chapter in his tale for the label, following the hotly anticipated and well received prologue of sect 2. >atopic< creates dense and intimate atmospheres, overlaid with a reflective, introspective key structure, culminating in the most poignant & moving of melodic sequences. >skinstrumental< bridges the void between tracks, speaks of the space between stars as our minds turn to thoughts of galaxies and nebulae, the spirit of detroit radiating like a supernova.>the fierce hug< completes the aural triptych, by contrast offering a more upbeat, playful yet no less desirable option for the more creatively diverse techno mix

this summer beni will continue to reign the dancefloor supreme with a new monster slab of black plastic, maximus featuring vocals from the mighty sam sparro. who put the fun in acid-funk you ask? the answer is: beni did. a low-slung exercise in dark and dirty arpeggiated sleaze, maximus marries a sparse bubble-groove that creeps up behind you and licks your ear with a very purple vocal performance by sparro to devastating effect. the resulting track is something akin to kiss-era prince and friends dirty dancing at a toga party while ancient rome burns down around them. on the flipside beni and nicky night time give maximus a night-time re-dub rubdown, taking the track away from the creepy funk freak and towards a straighter slammer jammer, favouring blatant dancefloor manipulation over the subtle and the sexy. also featured (and included on the next kitsune maison 7 installment) is fringe element, which encapsulates the feeling of surfing on a shooting star like never before, with beni sitting proudly at the controls. an electronic orchestra of descending basslines, vocoder snippets, bleeps and acid squeaks, fringe element caps off another compelling chapter in benis lifelong voyage through dance. after the cover of his first ep my love sees you made by geneviÞve gauckler, his new 12 is illustrated by french artist andre.
2raumwohnung is back with their new single wir werden sehen taken from their upcoming longplayer lasso hitting the stores in late july. inga humpe and tommi eckart aka 2raumwohnung are definitely the most successful german club / pop duo to date. although their previous albums have always topped countless mainstream charts over the last years they never forgot where theyre coming from: the club scene! thats why they always keep on putting out groundbreaking dance remixes of their songs by top notch producers. this time its up to paul kalkbrenner, lately starring in the techno movie berlin calling and goodgroove & yapacc early morning extravaganza!
big with: diplo, erol alkan, brodinsky, laurent garnier, mowgli, matt walsh, riton, tocadisco, sebastien leger, misstress barbara, john acquaviva, kiko, acid kids, ... as form ep01 >serenity< was quiet and melodical, new popof high & down is a dancefloor crusher, with 3 original burners from labels boss.
flowers that fell (already been picked up on by steve lamacq for radio 1) is an irresistable, chiming mid 80s indie guitar melody, an ascending punchy smiths-esque bassline locked in with dfa-esque drums. >the far< builds on the emotive theme of the a-side: footsteps and a gunshot begin the military drum march. an insistent drum roll and a descending bassline take the story to the frontline
dj support from skream, laurent garnier, si begg, mysterious mr o (detroit grand pubahs), nerm, otto von schirach, and many more!
take electro bass noise, gore grind, idm glitch, calliope, breakcore gabber jungle, gangsta rap, mix them all together and what you get? otto von schirach . for æbass lowÆ the oddball shreds hip-hop ( i always felt that hip-hop beats need shark-bite rhythms or chain-sawsounds ), corrupts miami bass and perverts techno, saturating his hard drive with sonic detritus . otto von schirach (half cuban / half german) was born in 1978 in the swamp infested refugee world of little havana miami.
big with: matthew dear, osunlade, serafin, jimpster, carl cox, ben watt, joris voorn, catz n dogz, agnes, sebo k, brothers vibe, cirillo, rocco, ray okpara, james zabiela, andrew grant, guy j, technasia, gregor tresher, hernan cattaneo, monika kruse, nima gorji, karotte...
>sidonia< opens, immediately announcing that this wont be merely business as usual. with its groaning sub-bass and flickering percussive flashes, the track echoes the dubby, drifting melancholy of classic warp records-always, in truth, a key influence for cadenza. bells and voices lend an atmosphere of shimmering energy thats carried over into >around the angel< which sails jubilantly forward, propelled by intricate polyrhythms and uplifting female vocals.
after setting 2007 alight with his award winning debut solo album a mind of its own karizma returns with the highly anticipated sequel: a mind of its own- version 2.0 the upgrade ! this is the first single to be taken from the album, and contains two of the hottest club bangers from the new selection. necessary madness has karizmas trademark power drum programming and raw bassline as the track builds from sparse elements into a killer throbbing groove that will destroy any dancefloor. on the flip-side, drumz nightmare has karizma once again pushing the boundaries of dance music with an atmospheric, electronic, percussive soundscape, using sparse elements to create an eerie mood while providing reasons to move your body. on a mind of its own v2.0 the upgrade karizma has raised the bar once again as he continues to find new ways to rock clubs, cars and headphones worldwide. this 12 inch reminds us why karizma is considered one of the most creative and influential producers currently working in dance music.
legendary sub club resident harri, teams up with fellow glaswegians and justifiably hyped producers the revenge to cook up this stripped back and relentless raw house joint. already a massive cut for a select few djs serviced well upfront, this track has cropped up on more than a few most wanted lists. its thundering main hook driven along with fierce percussion and a simmering tension that seems set to boil over never fails. the dub mix swaps the ferocious claps for a haunting bell tone, paving the way for a tripped out excursion 20.000 leagues under. vera completes the 12inch with her hypnotising tribal groove punctuated with rising synths that offers a lighter, brighter take on the original.
the rustys crew strike again ! no 4 on the label and another expertly mined duo of underground classics first up we have the awesome savarese produced 1979 killer >come inside my love< from bonnie oliver championed by ron hardy at the seminal music box, this uptempo vocal joint still sounds fresh 30 years after its original release !! on the flip we have the ludicrously rare & sought after >good love< by rome jefferies, a celebrated and super soulful boogie joint released in 1983 on the crazy rare rain label. both tracks have been remastered and are essential additions to any serious collection, not to mention impossible to find elsewhere ! as usual, theres only a small number of these around - 500 in fact, so dont delay as we have a >first come, first served< policy on the limited goods
keep me in my plane part 2 is the second part of the succesful single including remixes by reverso 68, the kdms (kathy diamond & maximilian skiba), dj kozes hudson river dub and a stunning modernaire rework. a must have! the danish discorockers whomadewho released their second album in march. and who would ever have thought this: now, one month later, they are everywhere: you can see them on covers of music magazines in germany, france and uk. their concerts are sold out and the blogs freak out about the new singles and weird videos. after the first single the plot now here comes the follow up keep me in my plane divided in two parts!
delusions hits the spot once again with number 3, this time highlighting the production skills of a certain zepp001. the seattle based disco obsessive has been leaking out high class edits over the years under a dizzying array of deliberately forgettable pseudonyms but feels the time is right to push his original tracks. who better then to make these beauties available for you discerning djs than delusions of grandeur. dont sleep is a dark, brooding groover with throbbing bass, cute cuica fills and intense strings that lalo schifrin would be proud of. a real heavy mood setter and as good an introduction to the sound of zepp001 as you re likely to need. next up we have the mighty revenge in for remix duties on dont sleep. the much hyped master of the edit keeps the vibe of the original well and truly in place but opts for an even more stripped back approach leaving all the space for crisp claps, slowly building strings and bowel wobbling bass. flip over for giraffe, a more upbeat affair where the filtered keys come to the fore and things steer in a hyped up deep house direction. show your luv...
channel 83 is the new label and production project from ben rymer (gucci soundsystem) and damon martin (disco bloodbath). releasing both edits and original material, the label will focus on a broad range of styles, reflecting the diverse and eclectic tastes of the labels founders. this commitment to diversity is demonstrated on channel 83s first release, tonite/acid crunch. the a side is a slice of euphoric nyc vocal disco that wouldnt have sounded out of place being played at the saint in 1980. originally coming in at under 4 minutes the track has been given a longer more dance floor friendly mix. this track is already gaining attention following its inclusion on disco bloodbaths resident advisor pod cast and is proving popular with the likes of pat mahoney (lcd soundsystem) and mark e. on the flip, acid crunch is a classic late 80s chicago house tune given a modern reboot by the duo.
including dizzee rascal and armand van helden bonkers, yuksek feat. chromeo so down, d-shake yaaah, leila k open sesame and reel 2 real & mad stuntman i like to move it
another mouthwatering viper beatz release sees the daylight and this bombshell is guaranteed to devastate the dance floors on a global scale. live a lie a jewel in the typical way only g town madness & the viper can create, breathes brilliance and has not only been receiving heavy dj support from the total top in hardcore such as endymion, nosferatu, tomyknocker, dj panic and evil acitivies, but is also to be found on major compilations like hardcore to the bone xiii, and in qontrol. with its impressive anthem break live a lie brings unity and gets back to that true feeling of hardcore: come as one! envy shows the raw side of these craftsman resulting in an ear piercing, raging, full in your face hardcore track yet without losing any of the true g town madness & the viper feel. the result is a raw hardcore bomb, as probably many would not expect from this magical duo. crazy edits, weird synth patterns and freaked distorted bone shattering kick drums bring a refreshingly different taste within g town madness & the viper releases till date. current dj support by the likes of partyraiser, neophyte, tha playah and outblast. when angerfist heard cliffhanger, he decided to give it an angerfist refix. gtm and the viper were so pleasantly surprised when they heard this, they immediately decided to let everyone enjoy this fine piece of rework. after circulating within the hardcore scene for quite a while also this tune will leave a mark on the hardcore scene as we know it.
