dense & pikas kneaded pains label arrives kicking and screaming into 2015 with another raw n raucous ep, this time from blake stone. deftone sets the scene nicely with a nice slab of heads down warehouse techno, good 2 me uses a well known sample for an altogether more sunnier track whilst flipsides cruel tone tightens up the beats for a very modern sounding slice of peak time action whilst affected once again delves in the darker side of things with a low-down dirty stomper.

it s a big honor that the former member and -minister of information- of underground resistance from detroit alan oldham aka dj t-1000 does a remix for this release. living between berlin and detroit, alan is a mastermind in electronic music and has pitched this track to a strong minimal -detroit meets berlin- version. the gunman remix is a more dramatic sub bass story. with snipped parts of the sigrid elliot vocals, a volumized organ and fx sounds, gunman gives you a blast for the dancefloor peak time. simon beeston, a music lover from new zealand who s also living in berlin, does a deep remix. with drums and a nice sub bass, he s showing his style.

the firth release on the ever impressive boso imprint comes from atelier francesco, with few nolder returning to the label to deliver a stunning remix. a peak time electronic masterpiece, the highly distinct *akaino* starts on the dark tip we have come to expect from the boso catalogue, subtly building into a chorus of wholly uplifting synths and choir voices.

red rack em is a name well known to wolf fans as he launched the first wolf white release with his deep house classic in love again. he is a master at reworking dusty grooves into peaking house bangers. that is the best way to describe this ep too. do or die is a straight up peak of the night disco jam. big sample, big bass, big track. ooh ooh ooh leans on the soulful side of his sample selections and its wonky but funky composition never fails to turn heads. the final track live at music hall is straight up deep. so, something for everyone, no messing.

the third in a row of split releases by the hague based bakk records is answered by mgun (manuel gonzales) and halvtrak. detroit local mgun already proved to be one of the more talented new producers and this time delivers a true trunk full of funk. the laser sword synths whip through the big space of the roomy kicks and the snare hits the nail on the head, a guaranteed floor filler. crossing the atlantic towards finland / helsinki, halvtrak shares a journey into his forming yet already signature sound. a smooth sailing analog track with trippy acid sounds - a perfect fit for both those during peak time as the early morning racers. sleeve and label are screen printed and 50 copies come with additional screen printed artwork by mgun.
