the dahlbaeck cousins hit it hard with their next release on u boot... sweet rosie is such an infectious tune that it will stick on your mind like glue. we bet you ll be singing this all summer long! on remix duty swedish talent henrik b and almighty tocadisco.
moombah is one of those records you probably heard on just about any party where chuckie dropped his beats and thought: what the hell...?! the massacre which followed on the dance floor when this bomb (or as david guetta quoted to chuckie: you gave me a huge weapon) got dropped was inevitable: total madness, and a track which became a much sought after release on the net, speculating by those youtube fanatics what it was in the first place. it was only before chuckie added moombah to the tracklist of his dirty dutch compilation when people actually knew the ins and outs.
sons of the dragon debuted last year on a mysterious white vinyl double out of detroit, they awake again to bring us >the journey of qui niu< and cast their firey wrath. the cv313 rework plays off the original version but adds a low end throb so deep it could shake the heavens, a rhythmic shuffle which begs you to move and a hypnotizing symphony of lo fi sonic destruction, its totally menacing. the new sqx project debuts with a killer, taking a different approach to the original, they use the synthesized textures as warm sonic fragments. its as if they were building a sonic puzzle but changing all the pieces around while assembling, leaving us with a rhythmic synth workout of the highest order, for your mind or the floor. a destined to be classic, do not miss

alan fitzpatrick is a producer who has been making everyone sit up and take notice since his first appearance on the scene a little over 18months ago. with various outings on fergies excentric music label, and his own 8 sided dice imprint and forthcoming records on the seminal bedrock records, alan is without doubt the rising star of dance music with his cross genre sound. and if that wasnt enough here is the first outing on adam beyers mighty drumcode! adam, who is unbelievably fussy and purveyor of nothing but absolute quality, snapped up this two tracker instantly – a testament to alans awesome sound. both >statix< and >rubix< are earthshakingly good. both hard and funky, but at the same time extremely versatile, and will be excellent mixing tools and big records in ther own right. the kind of records that never leave the box. get it..
delphic return this summer with their new single ‘this momentary’on kitsune, with remixes from parallels, golden bug and radioproof.released on the perma-chic french indie label kitsune, whose ability to spot tomorrow’s stars remains as strong asever, delphic’s ‘this momentary’ is a subtly blissed outblast of euphoria that takes in both the crisp drive of minimaltechno and the epic scope of bands like muse or radioheadto create something entirely their own and entirely new andbeguiling.>the guitar is dead, long live the guitar<, proclaim themanchester trio, fresh from supporting orbital and currentlybusy working on their new album, blurring the boundariesbetween indie and electronics until preconceived notions ofgenre have lost all meaning.their debut single ‘counterpoint’ pointed the way forward toa shining future straddling the hedonistic worlds ofglastonbury and berlin, while this summer has been spentcombining festival dates with working with producer ewanpearson in crafting a future classic steeped in bothintrospection and hedonism.the first results are ‘this momentary’, a restrained lyric gentlybuilding over sharply driving techno beats until it becomes aeuphoric future stadium anthem.

timbuktu sees long-time associates ferrer and sydenham going out with some techy house flavors on ibadan, with a solid groove joined by a sublime synth stab and some great chant snippets, while a driving bassline and great percussion elements fatten out the track nicely. timeless tracks 4 sure !! special backstock !!!
these >tools< by jerome sydenham, hideo kobayashi and dj said don t bear much difference to the recent releases on ibadan: thundering, percusiive beats and huge basslines accompanied by sparse and spacey key chords. dope / special backstock
split ep with the jackin oldschool style >brokeback<, the skanking vocal track >your house< and the migty early ibadan classic >passages< by tony watson that sounds as fresh as the day of its release ! i love this ep!! / special backstock!!!
in the summer of 1975 peter gathered his collective to record 5 compositions. the outcome was this great album ?the silver apple? heavily influenced by coltrane and his quartet, as well as by cecil taylor, maurice mcintyre, roswell rudd and many musical greats. it?s a monumental lp as it will take you back to a truly unique time of jazz in new york.
northern songs in a southern style - fab guiro!
welcome to fab guiro! - the album title is a combination of both the popular british phrase fab gear referring to all cool music & lifestyle aspects and issues surrounding the band and also stresses the relation to the percussion instrument guiro that is an integral instrument, sound and necessity in latin, salsa and especially traditional cuban music. fab guiro! is beat music in a fascinating, exotic robe, a drum roll of liverpudlian song pearls the songs of the beatles on fab guiro! do actually sound like copacabana, cuba and kingston - but always like the english harbour town in the summer - northern song in a southern style are indeed warm songs, fab guiro! simply means lots of fun, entertainment and thus celebrates our heroes.
DOWN THE CORRIDOR TO THE EXIT THROUGH THE GATES OUT INTO SAFETY (LP)
12 Inch LP 18.08.09
as the title of their new full length recording suggests, green concorde is moving, and moving fast. the direction is one and one only: out!
be it from the dark star palm trees of miami, from the silvercoated buildings in the city of glass or from the claustrophobic humidity of their now abandoned rehearsal room in copenhagen, this outfit is running for safety. out where the stars look like arrows on fire. as they move, green concorde stays true to their pulsating post-punk brand, though some of the sounds characteristic noise has been distilled and filtered, leaving a more soft and atmospheric expression than the one characterizing their previous album, ten cities. and unlike ten cities, this album is not a result of hours spent in a cold rehearsal room in a humid basement. instead the nine songs were written under intimate and private forms, partly in the bandmembers own appartments in copenhagen, partly in a small cottage in the dark outskirts of denmark. the run has begun. are you ready to follow green concorde down the corridor, to the exit, through the gates, out into safety?
everyone knows this feeling, when a hook line of a track wont let you go. one says it is a tune wedgie, even if it sounds a bit weird in the clubbing scene. but never you mind, you just start singing out of the blue. olene kadar just hit the bulls eye with >yipyippyip<. this track impresses with an extraordinary addicting ragga vocal and puts on top his breathtaking freaky beat wrapping. one wonders where to put this into a greater content: musical seriousness or simply the fun factor. but in the end people always go crazy, when olene kadar rocks one of the countless parties in holland. the artist playing right after him faces a difficult time. that is what dave aju might have had in mind. his remix heads for another direction. very relaxed and reduced to the bare essentials he slows down the tempo to garnish this fantastic groove with the vocals and e-piano chords. so cool. on the flip you will find the dashing rave monster >neal deepersma<, that brings olene kadars former releases on mos ferry back to mind. on the label website you will get a free bonus download called >looking for an<.
big with hawtin & hell! next sure dancefloor bomb! after the successful release of karolin mueller and goldfish & der dulz, suchtreflex welcomes edu imbernon to their label roster. edu is a young spanish producer nowadays based in berlin and is probably one of the most promising upcoming producers in the scene right now. after his previous groundbreaking hit release on liebe detail, its time for him to release this percussive tech house summertune on suchtreflex. includes superb remixes by suchtreflex-veteran amir (8bit, trapez) and by the label owners piemont (mbf, hi freaks). the sound of the season!

4 track ep with finest house & electronic music with fresh sounds and dirty beats! hernan cataneo, ricky stone, paco buggin,... john gham aka juan pablo hougham who is resident in the club velvet in madrid , presents his new ep whiplash on peon music. whiplash is a hammer ep which is very much technoid and presents the whole production spectrum of juan pablo hougham. on side a are two real techno tracks for the peaktime in the club and one does not know which track presses more. the b side is a little bit more relaxed, but although technoid in which elegance stings very much out.
the 2nd ep vinyl preview of the highly anticipated italoboyz full length bla bl bla (out in september) on mothership. not everyone is aware that both marco and fede migrated north to london from italy several years ago. this move has influenced their sound, hence the where is london? ep this ep also marks the start of their new live instrumentation work. where is london draws its title from a big ben sample put in reverse, but it also features experimental live piano work (piano strings struck with paper mallets) re-twisted into their addictive drum patterns. on the other side, lanagramme features salvador dalis voice and the interesting dual piano work of their good friend angelo. italoboyz are always pushing the boundaries and testing the limits of traditional dance-floor music and this is no exception.
we are honoured to announce john roberts blame the next step in our current excursion into the world of djs, clubs, flashlights, boy meets boy and boy meets girl meets girl... john roberts is already a resident in our little universe but this time we decided to mix him up with the masters of deep desasters because his new record is so heavily haunted by the spirits and ghosts of those who started it all we could not resist. these to die for chords of blame shake up minds and hands as they just would be related and who is to blame if you feel the shiver of a down pitched wurlitzer organ hand played by john in new york and also back in berlin. watch out for john roberts upcoming album on dial hopefully ready this fall!
vinyl only release! hot limited edition in coulored vinyl ... sexy 2 tracks mit drang zur tanzfläche, warm detoit techno from the the man behind mos ferry, rrygular and fenou ... decks exklusive

excentric off-shoot rekluse has had a great start so far with carl cox, hell, slam, laurent garnier, james lavelle, technasia, stacey pullen andanderson noise all regularly supporting the label. the previous 4 releases have shown the labels sound to be developing rather nicely with a consistent ear for high production quality alongside a drive for exciting and unconventional electronic music for the dancefloor.the 5th release for the label is supplied by loco & jam, 2 guys who have been really making a name for hemselves in 2009, already with a release on >italo business< under their belts and their remix of henry von s propaganda that has made it s way onto carl coxs >space 2009< compilation. with forthcoming releases penned for >hedgehog< and for umeks >sixteenofive< imprint these guys from limavady, northern ireland are definitely ones to watch out for. >medusa< has been fergie & mr henry von s secret weapon since they first got hold of it, never failing to completely destroy any club that has had it pumped through its soundsystem, as well as support from king unique & the japanese popstars who have been behind it since day one. the a sideis backed with 2 seriously strong cuts that show l&js ability in the studio to take things up a notch (whats the matter) or to twist things up somewhat(virus).
supported by anja schneider, dave seaman, dubfire. adam beyer, chris liebing, laurent garnier and many more! following his >turboencabulator< release this new 12 by cologne based artist roland m. dill is a funky piece of shit with two bass heavy groovers that create grooves you will fall for. >taurine on sunday< is a jumping jack track, a happy go merry super dooper late night groover that charly parker would love to do improvisations on. we can see this track going strong with house and techno djs. on the flipside >candy mountain< is powered by a funky tight rhythm with accelerating tight beats, more in your face... although it holds deep hypnotic and subtle moments creating a complex cool techno track.
moxie say: we got hipped to the life of a party last year during a breaking contest in nyc, one of those old school ones in the bronx. it was pure ecstasy! so we extended the good part, so the trip would last longer. the idea was to combine party life with two other breakers tracks to form a steppers package and then mj died... browsing back through his catalogue we were reminded of two other sweet 70s tracks: the funky hum along and dance and the smoother, but dangerously infective let me show you (the way to go). the result is moxies tribute to mj. may he be with us forever. thank you for the inspiration and joy you gave us.
to those of you who know your techno, shawn rudiman should be a well-known name. a prolific producer, he has nevertheless always kept his quality control on a tight leash, and releases on 7th city, technoir audio, integrated, dust science & matrix (amongst others) have brought him a reputation of being one of the finest producers around of contemporary detroit style (aka melodic) techno. a nice taster on the last minimalsoul release (sashimi hi) has hence led on to a full ep, and its classic stuff...tough beats and esoteric but catchy melodies all tied up with an expansive production ethic make for a great listen, and (perhaps unusually with this style of music) for a great dancefloor experience too!
its been a while since the last rsb release, but then tracks like this dont come along every day! for their first vinyl appearance on a label other than their own, enigmatic german duo ancient methods do the honourable thing and break out the whip, a track that comes across like a 2-step party in the foundry of thor himself. lets lazily label it anvil techno, because as far as we are aware no has yet invented a genre that adequately desribes music such as this. and as we have come to expect, much the same can be said of the evil sickness that is eat like hawks by bjorn svin (with a little help from karsten pflum, jona olesen & copyflex!). it starts like it means to go on, with a gnarled loop and indecipherable distorted vocals, and is gradually tweaked and augmented to the point of destruction. all manner of ill bass, overdriven filters, zaps, clanky drums & feedback join the party before the whole affair is brought to an abrupt end by the strange foreign lady that we have come to know and love over the course of the track. truly music for small, sweaty, strobe-driven cellars.
downwards sidestep expectations again with this glorious limited 10inch vinyl release from tropic of cancer. two beautifully dark compositions that remind slightly of angelo badalamenti in >twin peaks< mode, or maybe reservoir dogs, if it had been filmed with a huge cavern as the soundstage. processed guitar and drones wash swampily over a simple drumbox beat, as eerie snatches of melody float in and out. as badalamenti himself said of his own work, >my (musical) world is a little bit dark... a little bit off-center. i think of it as tragically beautiful. that is how i would describe what i love best: tragically beautiful.< seems to sum this release up quite nicely too...
we are proud to welcome the legend that is todd terry. rightly considered as one of the pioneers of the house scene, his work & reputation over the years are second to none, and with an abundance of chart hits & underground classics, its no wonder todd earned the nickname of >god<. a day in the life was one of the early todd productions under his black riot moniker, brought back up to date 20 years on and featuring an exclusive 2009 mix from the >god< himself
nite:life 013 lands in the very capable hands of jamie anderson, a pioneer of the jazz and funk influenced tech-house that has picked up an army of fans across the globe!!
