debut single for this hi-tech low-life straight from the slums of hong kong. the music of scott young is much like the city itself, intense and claustrophobic on one hand, dreamy and cinematic on the other. these tracks were made in what he calls the spaceshuttle energized by late night noodles under the shimmering neon signs.

moscow017 sees archie hamilton release his first solo ep on the label since it s creation, five years ago. the opening track was written at the end of a summer season spent in ibiza s cala vadella. it s intricate bass, percussion and emotive tones capture the mystery of this beautiful part of the island, putting the listener into a hypnotic state over it s 12 minute journey. contrarily, 21514 was written in the uk during the spring (the clue is in the title) micro house percussion is paired with dreamy synths and growling bass in perfect harmony to create 7 minutes of wonder. romania s priku lends a hand on the remix, adding a sense of dance floor aggression but without loosing the original character of the track.

reissue of elias rahbani & his orchestras super rare arabic disco holy grail *liza liza* on the original lebanese voix de l orient label. recorded pre-civil war at a time when beirut was known as the paris of the middle east, a luxurious holiday destination and flourishing trade centre. the title track is totally out of this world, perfectly blending eastern & western vocals, instruments and musical influences with a driving disco bassline to create an irresistible floor filling cosmic odyssey. the flipside features the even more out-there *from the moon* a fantastic tripped out psychedelic disco funk monster, followed by the dreamy accordion-led *summer love*. also boasting one of the sexiest covers in disco history further illustrating the liberal thinking and western influence in lebanon at the time. highly recommended!

the a1 was never a big surprise. mattias fridell s consumed for profit was one of the tracks of the year, and surely fridell s personal best track, and was played by anyone who at least plays a bit of techno in their sets. the usual fridell quality of standard and a tight synth line! a2 sees french artist electric rescue s quarries in the a. mochi remix. a peak-time banger, slapping the synth stabs right into your face. this one always gets the floor jumping. the b-side kicks off with label-head advance human s pure , stripping things down to some essential moody but slamming techno, right up there amongst his best productions. b2 has +platform s mosses closing things off, and as we came to know and love from +platform, it s out there, dubby and dreamy techno, born for those deeper berghainesque floors.

karinas inaugural theme takes us to a temperate world where dreamy synths undulate across a hypnotic sunset sky. the glint of an acid tinged bass line bobs playfully between clicks & claps. the perfect breezy summer dance groove.

acid sunday is as acidic as the name suggests it but in the end it’s the most poetic of the 3. the subtle pads are kinda dreamy but the 303 sounds make it super driving. on the same side we have rhythmico which is dark, percussive and powerful. subtle background bleeps complete the wandering synth that comes and goes but never really seems to go away.
housed on side b justa is a techno monster in its own right. sonically very close to the other two, this is by far the darkest track on this ep. and probably the strongest. techno infused house you may call it or whatever, this is the kind of track that puts you on a serious move whenever, wherever.

yo! that is the music people listen to nowadays? yes, indeeeeed. get three tracks for just twenty-five bugs. comes in a fucking unexpected edition limited to hell, so you will need to know guys with the right connection to frank musics distribution. cool frank and rude mo from dreamy city champaign / illinois were used to produce local r&b pop music in the late 80s. these three cuts were found on mixtapes from the early 2010s next to new local r&b pop tracks. dont be en vogue, be frank.

the second mörk release finally gets out of the blocks, helmed by italian analogue explorer raw m.t. with some seriously heavy cuts under his belt, we coaxed him out of hiding for a varied 12- of low-slung house, dreamy beachside dreams and hammering arpeggiated techno, cut deep and heavy over two sides of wax. la duna is a deep 4am roller. murky and shrouded in analogue warmth, it steadily aches and strains through passages of pad filled delirium whilst the percussive echoes of lost nights swirl and clatter. untitled is a beachside dreamy acid number. steady slow grooves undulate under tender vocals with slowly yearning pads and deep acid bringing the light out of the darkness. flipping over to the b-side, strike ups the ante with some seriously driving war-game techno, drenching in arpeggiated madness and washed over with frenetic acid lines.

a collaboration between elias landberg and nihad tule. they started this conceptual project in november 2014 with the goal of record and master a complete ep in one day. the resulting analog jams are pretty different from each other. the a-side terrorfish is reminiscent of simplistic acid rave tunes from the 90s while the b-side halcyon is a dreamy ambient trip

japanese producer hokuto sato known for his releases from such labels as roundabout sounds, thema,, neovinyl, is currently getting more attention among raw / deep house djs with his genuine deep sound created with sampling and analog rhythm machines. this ep titled -shore- is the 2nd release from his own label -aura-. just like waves on the shore, beautiful collections of samples taken from different kinds of music endlessly break and recede. just let your body drift on the dreamy waves. vinyl only.

polluted system is a track suitable for the main room, the energy of the kick and the bass leave no respite from start to finish as a joint of metal percussion and synths fit gradually to fill the sound spectrum of this track. becomes human machine in a few minutes, using acid and industrial sounds, conveys the idea of the change that is happening around us: people are becoming more and more machines, and this is the soundtrack of the mutation. unlocked human, while remaining in acid and mechanical territories, thanks to a groove of more organic toms and hi hat still let the human element glimpse, not yet deleted by the machines, all accompanied by a relentless kick which makes it a perfect tool from the dancefloor . no system, which give the title to the ep, ends this sequence with dreamy and futuristic atmospheres, the ruling part is still a simple but instantly recognizable acid bass, over breakbeat-oriented rhythmics.
