** 2019 reissue ** lcd + pcp is a massive collaboration for this release: carl craigs label planet e is set and ready to rerelease one of the tunes produced as paperclip people, throw. the a-side on this 12 vinyl features a cover of the song by james murphy and his merry band of music makers, better known as lcd soundsystem. lcd soundsystem has been using its cover of throw in live sets for some time. guest of the 2005 lcd live performance at the el rey theater received a shocking surprise. while the band was closing out the night with an extended version of yeah. somewhere around the eight or nine minute mark, bassist tyler pope began jammin on the famous groove from throw. the crowd watched in shock and awe as the band slowly, one-by-one, joined in, morphing yeah into throw seamlessly. by the time james murphy grabbed the mic and declared in full falsetto i wanna see your haaaaaaaaaaand! everyone basically unloaded on themselves. truly a classic act for a classic track! this release will be the first time the lcd studio rendition has ever been made available on wax
