supported by kollektiv turmstrasse, kombinat1000, someone else!! matching the cold season in northern europe, acker records extends its collection with a beautiful just as functional ear warmer. designed by the gents carsten rausch and ferdinand laurin from the city of trier, this acoustic accessory convinces in even four aspects. on the one side, the warm sounds of shout can be found, a really inspiring track that develops certain trancy qualities with its throughout melodic character and some pretty trippy delay experiments. after that, the pleasant boost is taken up by quattrow, here the anyway outrageous groove of the lower frequency spectrum is raised to the stakes by a casual and housey motive. this track is redesigned by the dudes of rundfunk3000 on the other side, they serve it on crunchy and highly energetic rhythms and spice it up with their typical, playful instrumental entries. finally, the tribe is also pretty much straight forward and again scores with warm feel-good sound that dives into intoxicating depths.

alec is one of the most-promising acts from east germany at the moment with a very own unique style crossing reduced techno with epic and mystical influences. his debut single >passengers< on etui records brought him very good support from various key-djs like karotte and his last ep >sub aquers< on ipoly music is dreamy grooving the clubs at present, played by laurent garnier etc. >orville< is matching with a teeting drive and its beautiful spheres while alex carbo puts the theme into a powerful minimalistic remix. >not in violet< is a well freaky dancefloor track with some vocoded voices

bleeps and synths are running after a deviant bass, all of them taking turns in invading the dancefloor. an epic tune made of dissonant stems matching one each other precisely to create a very pulsating house / techno beat.

the mysterious syrinx came to us out of nowhere. his tracks sound as if he has been around for a long time, maybe he has. we were pleasantly surprised with the standard of his music. deep, melancholic and building dub techno, just as we like it. though keeping the tradition alive (model 500, chain reaction etc), he does add his own vibe to this genre. nice! this is volume one out of two. both releases will come in matching artwork...

even after more than 30 years of living the lifestyle of electronic dance music, techno is still sometimes looking for a matching form and sound language to transfer the special thrill of a live event to a club night adequately. so, sven vŠth and his crew were even more excited about the live set of eric estornell aka maetrik at cocoons closing party at amnesia / ibiza this year. for the final of a season that was once again exploring the limits of party culture, maetrik celebrated an extraordinary energetic state of emergency for more than one hour. the resulting live cd is reflecting that matchless mixture of pumping deep house, energetic soul and adrenaline-enriched noise.
