following on from his rolling ep that dropped in january and featured the outstanding blue, an early contender for one of the strongest tracks of the year, julian jeweil drops the crisp intergalactic techno trip space

popof’s illustrious label form music is set to release a special vinyl only compilation showcasing some of the imprint’s most exciting artists entitled, ‘reformers’.
since its formation in 2009, form music has rapidly established itself as one of the most innovative and ambitious dance labels, working alongside both established and new artists including julian jeweil, sébastien léger, animal & me, mendo, philip bader, petar dundov, dj fronter and jay lumen as well as the label’s head honcho himself, popof.
kicking the four track package off is popof’s sublime rework of julian jeweil’s acclaimed dancefloor destroyer ‘chrome’, which is perfectly followed by the pounding drum-and-bass-tinged-techno workout ‘shadow tactics’, created by slovenia’s pioneering dj/producer umek.
julian jeweil’s ‘midi’ continues the release, seeing the talented frenchman utilising synths with real expertise and blending electronic nuances with melodic percussive elements to bring us nicely on to the compilation’s closing track, the deep and trippy tech house gem ‘slush fund’ by berlin-based simina grigoriu.

much may have changed over a two-decade period, but drumcodes commitment to releasing the scenes most cutting-edge and refined techno remains resolute. the label pushes forwards again in 2017 bringing fail-safe, club-ready music to the techno community. in the past 3 years, julian jeweil has released on highly regarded labels such as drumcode, minus and mobilee. one of the most consistent performers in the beatport techno chart, this prolific producer is as comfortable in the studio as he is in the booth, with his 2016 show s spanning five continents including an appearance at space for carl cox s final chapter, as well as london s egg and la s exchange. 2017s first drumcode release comes in the form of chart topping regular julian jeweil, who ll be putting out his first solo effort on the label. jeweils rolling ep showcases his skill as a producer and kicks off with the emphatic title track rolling . the perfect soundtrack for the early hours in the club, this sweaty affair proves just why hes at the top of the game right now. venice and blue illustrate his signature sound to a tee, with the eps final track traffic an acid-tinged behemoth, guaranteed to light up any set

this release is a collection of big names of the electronic music history, some of them are legends: pete tong & john monkman lead the list of big artists in this ep, they had produced the bumps a few months ago and now we can see the remixes of that track.
for the remix duties, suara is proud to have on board one of the biggest names of electronic music movement with more than 20 million albums sold, 8 songs in the uk singles chart, masterpieces like play or 18. the name of the remixer is moby, whom did a delicate and sophisticated deep house track for his debut on suara.
coyu is in the package too with a dancefloor, melodic, powerful interpretation of the original and julien jeweil did a really cool revision of the track in a techno way.

for more than six years now, the dj and producer julian jeweil belongs to the up-n-coming electronic music scene in marseille, cultural centre of the french riviera. with his air conditionné ep on electric rescues skryptom label in 2006, he provided the scene with a true consensus hit, and further collaborations with and remixes for oxia, scan x, danton eeprom or sébastien léger have cemented his reputation as one of the most promising young talents in electronic dance music. his current ep for cocoon stands for uncompromising and demanding techno in its purest form: from the initially more sizzling sound layer in color emerges after two minutes in the first break a hysterically screaming >saw of sinus<, where you almost seem to hear the screams of the people echoing on the dancefloor. >amore< builds up more streamline-like in the style of steve bug, but: dont panic - you will also hear some really demanding breaks in this one. all the hands go up!
