here comes the next chapter of scandium with the signing of a new young artist called camille rodriguez. this guy is talented, to say the least. he touches every genres with no compromises. this way of making music gave luminous cave as a wonderful result.
marking the reactivation of this famous label founded in 2000, this new release of paul nazca is a bomb. memory is the perfect fusion of a very heavy techno bass and highly melodic string lines. intensively played and supported by laurent garnier, memory and paramel will bring you back to what is the deep essence of techno from the detroit point of view. you ll also be the lucky owner of kit kat, an exclusive pumping track you ll find nowhere else than on this plate.
its 4 years that paul hadnt released any tracks (except remixes) on his own label but on and on is here to demonstrate that he hasnt lost his unique sense of vintage sound. a deep and melodic club tune! on the b side, we are very proud to offer 2killer remixes by a neighbour and a friend: julian jeweil. the strong bass line of the first vision makes it even more efficient than the original one. a must have for sure on this remix, julian jeweil added some crisp percussive elements with the mainmelodic theme behind that raise slowly but surely. this vision 2 will cause damage on the dancefloor.
a1_relaxx, bastien grine is back on scandium with a huge raw and dark ep. relaxx is a mind blowing microtech track with non sense vocals. b1_single barrel attitude. the b side is a darker and even more mental track using weird distorted vocal. thats what french call >le son de la perche<. minimalism at its best!
sébastien thibault (also known under the name of >cebb<) started djing in the mid eighties for his friends. in 1997, he caught the attention of some event producers who proposed him to play at their huge techno parties called mecanic. that was the beginning of his residencies that leaded him to play along with top djs like jeff mills or richie hawtin. then he quickly became popular, playing in every event in the south of france and in famous clubs like villa rouge (montpellier)
on the a side, step back is an ultra fat minimal tune with both old school housy sounds and strong techno beat. the dark male vocal repeating step back won t leave your head for hours. on the flip side, bastien grine goes deeper on a mental trip. a fat bass line surrounded by clear floating sounds. he plays with stereo effects and we loose our mind … pure madness
