LE VILLAGE FLOTTANT (160 G SPLITT COLOURED VINYL ONLY)
12 Inch 01.11.16
zeal....enthusiastic devotion to a cause, ideal, or goal. in our case devotion to deep, dubby, warm mirco grooves. the label s first release comes from monsieur georget which is an alternative alias for well-known french producer chris carrier, who many will recognise from his own label adult only records, along with releases on other labels including robsoul, one records, off recordings and silver network. the release also features a remix from stellar german artist dewalta, who along with a number of seminal releases on meander, is a regular collaborator with mike shannon and boasts releases on other labels including vakant, haunt and visionquest.
splitt recordings return with their second vinyl release in the shape of a 3 track ep skyland mountain. the first track on the a side see s agaric remix maintain the integrity of the original while bringing a deep hypnotic feel to this house classic. the second track on the a side see s the company is family remix strip back this dub-techno thumper. the finished result certainly being dark enough for a sunday evening in berghain. rounding up the release on the b side the original cut of quandisa is a deep electronic groove with a thumping techno bassline, interweaving huge chords and pads to deliver a textbook main room heavyweight cut
exactly a year ago we released the splitt ep er 0004.1 with chez damier s balance alliance. so this very special various artists ep comes to you as the follower of the reminded release as a double a side ep, called the various artist ep two pt.2!.with people on a1 marcello napoletano delivers an analog monster. the man from south italy doesnt really need to be introduced after his stunning releases on labels like mathematics, yore or rush hour. on a2 we re-introduce our first female producer in the family basels timnah sommerfeldt with her mix of fill me up (released on balance / ba006). on the aa balance side we got two rookies on wax with the oldschol flavoured tune named da bass lover. produced by quike feat. lello di franco as a young italian producer combo. with changes demetrio giannice has gone through a maturing process, a downtempo track driven by two difrrent drumsequences, melodic synth lines, strings and a classic guitar with a balearic feeling. everything turns into a kind of background hidden hook taken from the forthcoming vocal version of changes. vocals by chez damier. few different versions will follow. strictly limited!
