special limited 7 inch (clear) collectors item only 300 units worldwide. the new album of dj hell zukunftsmusik keeps bringing us good news. the latest single to drop from the album,car car car, arrives with remixes from some of the scenes most enigmatic producers. after the first two 12inch vinyls with remixes from roman fluegel, phil kieran, thomas mayr & ken hayakawa, fango, metropolis and bentonkunst, gigolo now presents a limited collectors item. a special japanese and spanish version of car car car on a 7inch vinyl including a special gigolo sticker. a car is not just a car! it drives u near or far!

the 1978 record, which goes for up to $800 on the collectors market, comes with a lore all its own. the liner notes explain that at the time of its recording, davis was suffering from personal turmoil and a head full of memories from the vietnam war. the infamous jonestown, guyana mass murder occurred two days before the recording session and weighed heavily on his consciousness. the resulting electronic score would garner attention from legendary motor city dj electrifying mojo. in the early 80s, davis performed as 3070 in cybotron alongside juan atkins, laying the groundwork for detroit techno and electro with cuts like alleys of your mind. despite successful cybotron albums released on fantasy records, davis spent time penniless and abandoned in a v.a. hospital. the new 12inch version of methane sea was cut to lacquer straight from the original master tapes. davis currently lives in ypsilanti, michigan and works with music videos, fractal designs and cgi.

the history clock is most certainly alive and ticking with this incredible release from argentinian duo, djs pareja. you may be familiar with some early tracks that they have done for matias aguayos peerless comeme label (their excellent ghetto rhythms, kenia and tribal scream), and this is a perfect follow-up. >psycho rhythm<, the appropriately-titled lead track is a brilliant, mid-tempo, mildly-disturbed outsider house / ebm-shocker, coupled with the absolutely perfect roska / uk funky-esque, tropical rhythm of >pampa room<. a track that joins the dots between the bumbumbox parties of buenos aires, the boiler room nights in london and the boxes of the more forward-thinking djs on rinse fm. balearic music fans will immediately fall in love with >spanish is beautiful< - in both original and alejandro paz (comeme / huntleys & palmers) remix formats.
