having previously reissued *i want you to know*, the 1991 gem from simonellis groove committee project, deep down slam now return with a remix package. leading the way is italian house producer nicholas in collaboration with marcoradi, with the original s vibe very much intact but complemented by some fresh new beats and arrangement. the second remix comes from french house producer dj steaw who brings the usual quality and gives the remix the classic steaw touch we re used to know. zurich based italian producer demetrio giannice conjures the spirit of vintage tom moulton on his remix and deep down slam have also included simonellis original bonus beats version from 1991 that was mastered by legendary nyc mastering engineer rick essig.

victor simonellis groove committee alias inspired much of the upbeat vocal house we hear today thanks to seminal releases on nu groove records in the early 90s. simonellis *i want you to know*, from the eponymous ep released in 91, enjoys a rerelease and remix overhaul on the upstart deep down slam label. inner senses knows the truth mix boosts the overall presence of simonellis original, by reinforcing the drums, hats and chords with deft touches of neoteric sound design, while deep down slam label-head washerman opts for cut up and interspersed vocals and loopy instrumentation in his mix. french house ball of fire kool vibe, turns up the heat - and punch - in his chord riffing remix, paying homage to a originator that has no doubt influenced his own productions.

this is a fresh & rockin kompass musik release, presenting music from the hamburg-city boy denis karimani aka remute! after lonely and quiet years of experimenting and self-discovery he released his first 12inch called >hypnoconsole< on zombie nations label dekathlon records and got remixed by munich-techno-hero richard bartz.the first livegigs followed directly and led him into smoky rave-basements, uproarious clubs, sunny open-airs, as well as shaky party-boats...due to excessive and unresting music-making, denis released lots of 12 s and made several remixes in the following years. he released records on fine labels like traum/trapez/mbf, areal , dial, num, smallville or liebe*detail, made remixes for artists like dominik eulberg, move d or station17 and released his first album >remute< on ladomat. his regular appearance in magazine polls for best live act of the year proves that this is not just theory. now, we proudly welcome this jack-of-all-trades to our yet small but nice label family at kompass musik. he contributes a bodacious three tracker, jam-packed with dirty and pushing club tracks. >slam with the face< on the a-side brings us into some rough, gruffy and exciting soundscapes, the b-side holds two more fantastic proves of remutes far-reaching talent. >cause he likes it<, a pretty deep piece of techno and >propellersweat<, a reduced but heavily effective monster track in the end rave on.!
