dutch live-act and dj duo artefakt return to delsin records with an intricately produced three track release entitled falling into the light. artefakt began releasing music together in 2012 and now boast a discography spanning field records, konstrukt and deep sound channel, not to mention regular appearances on delsin where their debut album entitled kinship dropped in 2017. returning to delsin, the pairs next outing once again demonstrates their ever-evolving sound and is an exciting precursor for the launch of their own label later this year. rolling drums open the release in the blue hour as murky synths join hazy atmospherics, making way for weltformel with its racing syncopated percussion and ethereal pads that ebb and flow throughout the mix. finally, falling into the light combines springy kicks with crystalline melodies, metallic elements and rattling effects to conclude a mesmerising release.

continuing its cosmic techno research path, subosc is happy to present the latest work from hydergine. known for his deep and dub influenced techno releases on labels such as phorma, modelisme, knotweed and ranges, he delivers two ambient influenced techno tracks with a mental and dancefloor attitude. driving grooves, pulsating synths and melancholic melodies are the main elements of the original tracks, which journey narrates about cosmic energies, self healing and mental stimulation.
the “omega point” is, at fact, a spiritual belief and a scientific speculation that everything in the universe is fated to spiral towards a final point of divine unification. “light from light” puts emphasis on the eternal and bright light of wisdom, which allows to think and act using knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense, and insight. wisdom leads a person to overcome feelings of helplessness, powerlessness, anger or aggression by non-understanding of external elements and internal acknowledgement. the ep includes two immersive, dreamy, enlightening and spaced-out electro infused versions by artefakt (delsin / field records) and 2030 (construct re-form / clft).

informa records comes with its 9th release “unconscious perception ep” this time a collaboration from deepbass (informa, soma) & ness (the gods planet, eartoground). the release contains two original tracks from the duo and an awesome remix from artefakt (delsin, field)

after a fine first ep on the label in 2105, dutch duo artefakt are back on delsin with the mental universe. this four track ep again finds robin koek and nick lapien showcasing their knack for spellbinding grooves of voodoo techno, absorbing ambient and frictionless drum programming after other outings on the likes of prologue and field records.

rhythm büro is a new record label based out of kiev, ukraine started by dj and promoter igor glushko. the büro first began as a local party series organised by igor, alexander pavlenko (aka na nich, widely known in the drum’n’bass world as sunchase) and vera logdanidi (aka vero). since the party’s beginning in march 2015, rhythm büro has hosted such greats as zadig, abdulla rashim, etapp kyle, eric cloutier, woo york, artefakt, acronym, steve bicknell and actress all at different non-club warehouse-like locations around kiev. a peculiar aspect of the rhythm büro team’s objective has been to maintain secrecy about the exact location of the party until a day prior to the event, when ticket buyers are then informed about the location via text message or email. the label was started to be the logical and progressive extension to what rhythm büro has established itself to be locally: one of ukraine’s prominent techno initiatives. for the first release of the label, na nich and vero have contributed two joint-produced tracks that are to become their first publicly available material under their current aliases. while a1 leans itself to the soundscape that is more or less typical for rhythm büro parties: trippy, hypnotic and transportive techno, a2 hits the floor with refreshing zeal, bringing an electro-esque break-beat under deep and emotive synth layers. the b side contains two remixes of the title track, one of which is thoroughly tailored by the dutch-born-berlin-based-duo, artefakt (mostly known for their releases on delsin, prologue and field) as well as a strong and heady remix by semantica records’ mastermind, svreca.

the excellent field label embarks on a new mini trilogy of eps that will -present a magical journey through modern-day trance.- first up in the series is artefakt with their three track effort the final theory. dutch producers robin koek and nick lapien make up artefakt, and between them they excel at moody voodoo music on labels like delsin. they open this latest ep with the title track, a deep, spacious house roller with subtle pads and gentle acid that perform slow motion acrobatics for nearly ten minutes. it is suspensory, dreamy music that works on the head as well as the heel. moving horizon is then less doleful and introspective but just as deep, with sweeping pads add a sense of scale, busy drums bring the dynamism and icy percussive sounds adding a sense of urgency. last but not least, solaris is a fatter, more physical groove with claps and gloopy bass, acid flashes and trancey pads all fleshing out a lush and deep electro workout. this is heavenly stuff that cannot fail to get inside your head and heart.

all sounds running together, combined, fused or following. sounds of the city and sounds out of the city, sounds of the day and night. thousands of machines and a thousand different noises, combining them according to our imagination.

the 2nd release on allessandro stefanio’s substrato, true to the label’s concept, is another musical exploration of both atmospheric heights and geological solidity, with all the emotional resonance and physical impact that such an exploration implies. this new ep from buck, like the substrato debut fluid identity by limo, is a skillful sonic meditation on the natural living environments that we often take for granted: its mix of intense tectonic beats and ambient winds takes us from the archaic mystery of the underground to the rapture of the open skies above.
