closely following the release of the last borderland single, the focus returns on transport, the last collaborative album by juan atkins and moritz von oswald. long time friend and studio partner of moritz von oswald, carl craig provides a new take on “transport”. extending and stripping the original sequence to its bone, the illustrious planet e president and illustrious detroit proponent also summons a stepping drum sequence and a swaying array of moving delays. this 12“ edit is cut on the a-side. the full version of carl craig’s remix clocks just above 20 minutes and is available digitally. both are available to anyone who purchases the record, through the enclosed download card. on the flip, dj deep & roman poncet rework carl craig’s remix, adding their signature grooves and myriad of tough drums, to full effect.

tva is the latest album from malmö-based artist singular. electronica with acoustic piano as a starting point, we find ourselves in a borderland of contrasts acoustic & electronic simple & complex rhythm & melody. the sound world has influences from both electronica, pop, jazz and art music. the goal is to achieve harmony between the shine and the sharp the light and the heavy. simple and effective melodies are placed in complex, often slightly skewed and chafing, sound environments. the end result is a singular vision in the form of an imaginative and multi-faceted sound experience.

costero folgt dem debüt des 33-jährigen, das vom new york observer und vielen anderen gefeiert wurde. costero ist eine wehmütige und zum teil opulente sammlung mit entwürfen für piano und streich-quartett.
kidd legt den fokus auf die verbindung zu zeitgenössischen minimalisten wie goldmund und nils frahm. der französische illustrator jan garet steuerte original-werke für jedes der zehn stücke auf costero bei. die platte wurde von james plotkin gemastert.

after the highly anticipated release of his third studio album decay, efdemin presents the first part of a remix series featuring his favourite producers. bristols underground hero asusu inflates the reduced album opener some kind of up and down yes with deepest bass and beautiful scapes to the max in a true photek-style. last years control by staffan linzatti was one of the favourite constants to be played in every efdemin or lawrence set. luckily his version of solaris is another epic hymn here with futuristic enhancements of the third kind.the most extraordinary piece on decay versions part 1 is the borderland states rework of parallaxis. efdemins studio-mate john gürtler recorded that beauty with adding acoustic instruments only and sounds like a meeting of moondog with wim mertens.
