vinyl only. the second release from young and exciting hoxton records label from east london features kiril - the ukranian legend who has started making waves outside home country. the collaboration between rush arp & maurice giovannini is another beautiful track with organic sounds that can stir emotions. triptil is a rising romanian star that has already developed his own sound, which can be melancholic at times but never fails to move the dancefloor. radu mirica is another talented producer from bucharest, romania that is determined to make the future in the music industry and judging by this track, he may be well underway.

after making waves with early and idiosyncratic eps on labels like rush hour and astro:dynamics, singular uk talent bnjmn now steps up to make his debut on delsin with six tracks of experimental and inventive noise and techno. coil opens his account with screechy, unnerving synths squeals, imposing and throbbing pads and super deep kick drums that come at you from miles below. it s a hugely textured and spine tingling affair before the ambiance of berth comes rippled with glassy and alien little melodies. merge has turbo charged drums hiding beneath more unsettled synth based noise that sound sernee at the same time as being paranoid. on the flip, and suddenly makes your hairs stand on end with is gothic celestial glow and slithering synth patterns, blown is a damaged and degraded bit of icy, thumping and reverb heavy techno and azure ends on a brain soothing, chilled out ambient high. these are the sort of truly unique and magically textured tracks you would expect from a producer like bnjmn, and mark a fine debut on delsin.

give the lord a round of applause, for he keeps blessing us with such great talent. new amsterdam producer making waves! after simon weisss amsterdam wave debuted on the rh amsterdam all-stars compilation at the tail-end of 2011 (an updated mix of this tracks is included on this release), he now returns with his first solo ep for the label. and what a first solo release this is. he literally has up bouncing up and down at the office for weeks with this four tracker. with his wave ep simon delivers a tasteful and fun package. four house tracks that ride the thin line between retro and current, without trying to sound like either one. conclusion: this young buck has arrived and brings along his signature sound.

after an almost instant sell out last time around, london label tone dropout return for vol. 5 of their series of 12-s. an acid washed ep drawing from the ranks of their ever growing family, each of the four tracks celebrates the timeless appeal of the silver boxed 303 after the rain by label regulars the he-men opens with the soothing patter of raindrops, a hypnotic acid line rising from the deluge to morph into a moody house ride drenched in its own outbursts of spectral sound. dawl is also back on home turf with asylum , following a repress of his sought after solo ep for pareidolia recordings. less about seeking refuge than losing your mind it motors along with steely intent, darkly funky bleeps, throbbing acid and industrial percussion embracing the twin legacies of sheffield and detroit. italian dj and producer robbenspierre launched tone dropout s digital offshoot with a full ep last year and makes his vinyl debut for the label with quarta vanitas . bubbling breakbeat house, a trancey euphoric lead and swirling ethereal vocals take you deep into the thick smoke and laser light of the 4am dance floor. in the wake of an appearance on tone dropout vol.4, corporeal face returns with another rave induced vision. trapped on one, the rushing warehouse breakbeats and bass of permo erupt into waves of acid, fractured vocals and serotonin-depleted synths adding a dark edge to the ecstasy.

dasha is back on sonic groove for her first outing on the label in six years. in this time elapsed dasha has released just two dance singles both some years ago. her last musical outing in 2015, is the stunning masterpiece experimental listening album entitled -sleepstep- on raster noton. now finally after a quite long hiatus from releasing dance music. dasha returns with -ain t no god nor king-, a four song extended play release . this deep minded, beat driven journey starts off with -katusha- a hard minimalistic, mesmerizing affair with strong delay effects on the kick drum forging a subconscious state of time and space as it echoes it way through mountainous canyons far away from civilization. next up is -dystopian drive-, a percussive song which brings an atmosphere of doom and gloom full on, with a gritty & stringent ebm bassline and tripped out layered acidic effects riding the thick bass waves. -black swan- takes it a few steps further into even darker dismal territories, a nearly nine minute journey which is a fitting sound track for surveilling a haunting post nuclear apocalypse scene from up above. -acid melancholy- is a 303 tweaked ambient sound sculpture with a metronomic pendulum rhythmic perc swinging back and forth which signals that time has run its course and the end is near.

amongst those on the amsterdam club scene, tom ruijg is highly regarded as a dj and producer. with a production history that stretches back to the turn of the decade, and includes releases under his given name on bangbang!, karat, hot waves and soweso, he�s no newcomer, either. skyfall is his first 12inch for voyage direct, following a fine contribution to the first mission compilation � alongside friend and sometime studio partner efde � back in 2015. more pertinently, the ep marks the first time hes used the tracey moniker for a release

the 5th offering of the label comes from la-based producer sage caswell. sleep quarters ep evokes the paradoxically rushed-yet-laidback duality of his hometown, it s a four-track release equally split between music for the dancefloor and music for dreaming. while the first two tracks strive to balance ambience and dancefloor appeal, the b-side is a total departure into ambient space, with immersive walls of sound and waves of delay

last year�s �the age of compassion� by chicago underground house don tevo howard was one of the standout tracks for buzzin� fly in 2011with widespread dj and media support. it joined his burgeoning body of work on other acclaimed labels such as rush hour and his own beautiful granville. now tevo returns with his follow-up for buzzin� fly. if �the age of compassion� was a simple and elegant dancefloor bump wrapped in warm analogue melancholia, then the �monument ep� is its nemesis - a stark future-retro reinterpretation of the origins of house music build from the bare components of machines: raw drums, sub bass, sine waves, square waves and oscillators. and yet there is still a burnished beauty to this ep. all three tracks seems to find echoes of each other in their arrangements and brittle harmony. machine music for the modern age edged with passion and feeling, and another fresh step for its producer.

�mind fiction�, kaczor s first release, comes with organic artwork such as a growing plant cover and simple yet sleek thai design inspired by a recent tour to southeast asia. the ep serves as a perfect example for kaczor s own artistic vision: moody textures and mellower grooves meeting his trademark raw and gritty, forceful attack-laden release of rolling drums, bass and percussion, pointing to kaczor s own roots in the more stormy outbacks of broken beats or uk bass. first track �balance� starts off with a softer, textured soundscape, nicely balancing melancholy synth waves and drum rattles into an atmospheric opener with a slowly oncoming and unfurling, melodic twist. the title track �mind fiction� more closely follows kaczors very own signature formula of a simple and driving bassline followed by an evocative build-up rushing into an emotional, cathartic breakdown. �asta� might be kazcor s most daring and trippy production to date: an intense mixture between hypnotic, hard hitting thumps and thunderous rolling drums taking the listener into the electrifying whirl of a night-time storm, where the tense and dense, humid atmosphere culminates in a monsoon-like rainfall of spiralling reverb � marking a fitting crescendo for this impressive debut on kaczor s now very own sonic ground.

helsinkis lauri saine is the storyteller for this, the third chapter of fools & fables. pleasingly his irresistible releases dont come along all that often, but when they do, they justifiably make serious waves. small remedies, takes us on a journey to a side of saine we seldom see. first things first, blush cuts a breezy, cheerful path through a warm analogue space, with the mid-tempo throb of sampled rhythms to keep you from drifting too far off course. casual wears altogether looser pants as we just bob to and fro in a hammock while rum-soaked session players jam away in a distant speakeasy. the tropical breeze blows free through leisure song too, as we begin to get the impression finland might actually be a small pacific island.

the second record >trapez 100 pt2< features a great dynamic track by dominik eulberg, and two remixes, one by break 3000 of oliver hackes legendary trapez track >der vampir von düsseldorf< and the other by the famous berlin duo format:b of florian meindls hit track >blast<. welcome back to the trapez world. dominik eulberg released stunning records on trapez in the past: >gasthof zum satten bass< was a huge hit and also >adler< createda waves of enthusiasm. with his exclusive track >ambivalent< for the trapez 100 release he refers to the days when techno was defined through its drive and enormous dynamic. >ambivalent< is exactly such a pounding driving track with a big synth joining in that creates joy and a great rush. mr eulberg was in a really good mood when he finished this track and we expect it to be played on many big raves. >der vampir von düsseldorf< (eng. the vampire from duesseldorf) is a legendary track, we released without any writing on the etiquette and just communicated by word. very few people knew that oliver hacke produced it and a lot of people like michael mayer and richi hawtin played the limited 12 inch a lot. now you get a very cool and fantastic, monumental, grinding remix by dirt crew records label owner break 3000. the format:b remix of florian meindls slammer >blast< is a winner. they manage to walk the fine line between techno and minimal by using sounds from mystery movies and funky beat patters, as well as slow down beats which create funky breaks and interludes that provide the original with a more trippy and rhythmic side.
