justus kÖhncke & the wonderful frequency band - his first major release in five years after safe and sound (kompakt cd 63) - is justus kÖhnckes long-awaited return to the full-length format: neatly coinciding with kompakts exuberant 20th anniversary activities, the leftfield house virtuoso, former whirlpool productions member (see *from: disco to: disco*) and producer of seminal cuts such as *was ist musik*, *2 after 909* or *timecode* hits the floors with an entirely new set of future classics, remedying desolate crowds in dire need of a party to remember.

the source material is varied and wide: 70s and 80s classics & tints from human league, rusty egan and space. cutting edge indy from hot chip, moshi moshis james yuill. underground house, disco and techno from baxendale, hiem, arj snoek and chelonis r jones. not forgetting jks take on some great songs by pocket and bozzwell. all threaded together in perfect tapestry. yes justus, you certainly are a master.

we are pleased to announce that one of our favourite producers justus köhncke has finally given in to the constant barrage of requests to work with us. yes, welcome to the rank of nang cosmonauts justus. he has kindly agreed to work on a new artist album for us for release in late 2011 / 2012 but in the time being we just had to pop the mans cherry and get some köhncke-tunage released on nang.
first up is an ep of two brand new compositions. fussmachine and renewal. we have also included a remix and wrapped it all into the fussmachine ep.

next up on blitz is our first brand new recording. it was recorded in summer 2010 near atzaro, ibiza. visage and blitz club music supremo rusty egan was staying there over the summer and was making fine use of the inbuilt studio tagged onto his villa. sounds like some fine inspiration for a summer electro anthem... cue two of the hottest dance producers around, germanys justus kohncke and italys bottin. the triumvirate was now complete.
