finale sessions is excited about this release from knoxville, tennessee artist alex falk. he has been on our radar for some time now so we are pleased to share this with you! the a1 track -an ever- is one of our favorite tracks on the ep, with dreamy pads and monstrous stabs making for a fantastic floor-stomper. rounding out the a side is rrecs, a deep techno cut with clattering chords and moving drums and claps. b1 track what is free is another solid peak time killer with thick stabs and cut-up vocals making for a perfect finale sessions release. finally, br56 brings up the tempo while chilling out the vibe with dubbed-out chords, nasty filter work and a sound floating somewhere between techno and house.

this single is very special for visions recordings as we see a fresh collaboration between alex attias and luman child, two swiss artists reunited for the first time.alex proposed luman child a collaboration after listening to his music. then they met and talked about music , visions, influences, method of work and decided straight away to work together without knowing each other well and pushing them outside their comfort zone. they are both very happy with the resultjalex attias has been in the music for many years producing, remixing many great artists and djing all over the world. at the moment alex is about to release a compilation on bbe records ( lillygood party !) , plus a couple of remixes are on the way and he s also preparing other singles for his label visions .luman child produced in 2017 a killer first album with german label solid ground still available on a neo soul hip hop tip. he reached number 11 in the uk soul charts. as a musician and bass player luman child had a few collaborations with ferry ultra, gogo music and marc mac 4 hero.the project they present here is very organic soulful and musical. this single hold two killer tunes for the listener and the dancers.the a side is a 125 bpm disco jazz funk killer jam with live bass, fender rhodes and vintage keyboards sounds driven by a very funky drum beat and live basseline aimed to the dancefloor and good time party people keeping a smile on your face. its simply groovy and goes on and on for 10 minutes of pure disco pleasure.the b side is a funky number boogie jazz funk inspired by mr ayers vibes and sounds . the rhythm is groovy at 120 bpm and the moog bassline is round and fat. accompanied both track by fender rhodes and dope keyboards sounds, this one will definitely find place in dj boxes for those who play and love soulful music with an open mind. groovy , warm and soulful at his best.

next up for rhythm sections club focused sub-label international black 004 is here and it is bringing the heat - this time from tennessee, usa. mister saturday night and cgi affiliate alex falk delivers a 4 track ep made with one thing in mind the dancefloor. taking influence from the likes chevel, levon, redshape and phase, alex falk achieves a singular vision merging american and european styles of techno. opening with upp, an effortless techno groove with a tight rolling bass line, classic lead stabs that pulsate, twist and turn as the heavy kick punishes the subs. beta comes in next with a serious low end bounce a distorted bass bump pushes the system to the max before being followed up by lower sub all swinging around a fat house kick and tight percussion another club stomper for the serious rigs only. the b side is a proper dub techno workout.

lillygood party! is returning with the 3rd instalment of their officially licenced re-edits.
both tracks here are classics dancefloors tunes , nothing rare, just favourite tunes that alex and stéphane played for many years.
on the a side the two tons version is much longer than the original, and remastered for a full effect on the dancefloor. we love this tune so much, we played it a lot already and its still rocking so we thought we share it with you on a fat 12inch for more disco soul gospel pleasure.
the b side is an amazing track from seawind that everybody who is into jazz funk or latin jazz with vocals will dig it. this version is different than the original, we kept only the more dancefloor friendly parts and we extended the beginning and end of the track with only drum rhythmic reprogrammed for mixing easily in your sets with other tunes. please enjoy as much as we do because we love those edits, we love those tunes, we love music we are very happy with this release because its really really good!

alex falk first showed up on our radar back in 2013 when his terse ep dropped on tennessee-based label proper trax. that record – specifically -ptr-, which we pitched way down and turned way up – was a regular fixture on our platters, so we were stoked when the man in knoxville got in touch with these groove-heavy, stripped-back floor fillers that now make up the anjuna ep.

it is by now no secret that the sounds of the kick drums echoing off the hills of the tennessee valley have been singlehandedly redefining what we know to be truly proper for the better part of a decade now. however, the faces of those that make up this new world order have remained largely in the shadows. as such we are beyond excited to bring tennessee’s two most elite producers, memphis’s will azada and knoxville’s alex falk, back to cgi.

tennessee techno: alex falk brings the sound in purified form. his approach has already piqued the interest of many influential djs and producers, and the track *ptr* from his debut ep on proper trax is among the selections included on hessle audio co-founder pangaeas fabriclive 73 mix. falks previous releases have focused on punishing, pulsing, synthetic techno. for his cgi ep, we are treated to another side of falks sound as he allows a bit more house into the mix. limited to 400 copies.
