a decade usually consists of ten pieces, years or days. the decade of techno comprises of 10 releases made by 9 carefully selected producers who shaped the last ten years of techno with their unique sounds. looking back at the last 10 years, techno made a thoroughly multifaceted development. new styles developed out of the old ones, never losing sight of the main principle. this development will be reflected on the decade of techno series, whereas label owner kaoz attached importance to account for every facet of techno.
osbornes ruling came out on influential us label spectral sound earlier this year, and has been racking up some fantastic support already. an emotive piece of lush deep house, ruling is an unashamed throwback to the early halcyon days of chicago and new york house music. a perfect slice of deepness for the warmer months...shur i kan is becoming ever present on the nrk roster of late, hes one of our favourite brit producer/remixers, and he stays faithfull to the original mix of ruling here but drags it onto the dancefloor somewhat with some stronger beats and heavier bottom end. king britt, meanwhile, opts for a heady, darker pounding drum remix, with spacious chords and freeform jazz flicked riffs. a little scubambient mix is also included here...

played by: mathias kaden, len faki, someone else, martinez, loco dice, nima gorji,… re:connected is back after a short little summer break with a brand new fresh 12 from a very promising up and coming copenhagen based producer named, andreas jørnvil. his previous releases and remixes on labels like comfortable records and opossum caught the attention of and was played by big shot djs such as richie hawtin, ricardo villalobos and anja schneider. we are very proud to introduce him as a new member of the growing re:connected family. he delivers a smashing 2 tracks as his debut release on our label. the 12 starts out with a track called: abekatten (a funny world for monkey in danish). abekatten is a wild deep house groove with a jungle like feeling. the track takes your through deep conga driven beats, monkey screams, tropical climate, heavy drum layers and epic tribal chants, all in a long deep hypnotizing groove
played by loco dice, l.garnier, dixon, prins thomas... big remixes by daniel stefanik & jackmate outstanding release!! champagne or water – which one is more suitable for a small label jubilee? well, probably its best to celebrate such an event with a superb release. after the highly appreciated compilation >moon harbour inhouse vol. 2<, moon harbour throws in 12inch number 30 by its very own mario >marlow< weise. alongside label founder matthias tanzmann he has been part of the moon harbour family right from its start, having had two veritable hits during the last two years with >movin< and >quiet<, both together with singer dehlia/franziska grohmann. his new track >water< (b2) breathes fresh air into the almost forgotten genre of deep house. organic elements meet detailed sound work and subtle pop appeal. with singer claudia nehls at the mic, warm chords, handmade bass and a surprising guest appearance of the flute >water< is the perfect companion for the sweet melancholy of early summer days.... big re-release !!!

goodies from debra dolce is a tight collaboration generated at coco machete hq in spanish harlem, nyc and polished up by zero cash of television rocks, cologne. around the corner from coco hq is local hip hop studio ybp. we saw an opportunity to bring some new elements to a production with our man zero cash. the hook to goodies was recorded in new york then sent over to cologne for that magic television rocks touch to be put underneath...the result is debra dolce. the a-side is a pounding, bass driven number with the vocals cut up, stuttered and pitch shifted to maximum effect. hit the flip for the dolce mix and you get a deeper electro disco affair with more vocals, funk guitar rhythms, stabs and laser sounds all the while being driven by zcs up to the edge basslines. weve got the goodies for ya, let the goodies talk to ya.

these hand-picked tracks are now available on a dj-friendly 2-sided-4-tracks-vinyl-ep and let me tell you, they are well worth the extra investment. the first of the bunch starts off with big man lexys fancy girl, an ever-growing minimal techy peak-time-pusher with a hushed vocal-sample, some anaologue signal sounds and a futuristic and pumping beat. add a great distorted melody to this on the breakdown and the dancefloor will thank you for putting this on: they will go mental! after this introduction, its the newcomers mickey monzza & joseph discos turn with their equally stimulating track lonely. this is a great modern piece of pumping dub techno with a straight-forward attitude. the hi-hats on this tune are mesmerezing, the clappy snares and sirens perfectly placed and the subtle dubby and groovy melody an ideal antithesis to this hectically moving tune. simply nice! but hold on, there is more to come. on the flip there is hamburgs house impressario h.o.s.h. with his track ben johnson and whether this title is a reference to the legendary sportsman or not, its a pretty record-worthy track: wonderful little stabs and vocal sounds and a bassline so warm and groovy it makes your heart melt. then when the breakdown hits you with its long and winding signal sound, the dancefloor will already be bathing in a floor filled with sweet happiness. this is truely delicious! the two newcomers and residents at hive club in zurich animaltrainer have the honour to finish off this ep with their oily tech-house-anthem talkshow, a superb main-floor-peak-time-melody-affair.
the first release on new glasgow label seinan music will be from rising star sei a. this boys stock has been rising fast with releases on french house stables such as missive, silver network and imprime {he may or may not also be responsible for a certain awesome re-edit of an oxford band containing word radio}... fans of his work include miss kitten, laurent garnier, ben watt and a host of many others. meth is another slice of his trademark techy but melodic sound. with haunting vocals and a solid hook, this is due to rock floors from glasgow to guatemala, tech style. on the flip, man of the moment milton jackson takes things a little deeper and darker with a solid mix that will appeal to fans of his work on labels such as freerange, winding road and tsuba. with a musical agenda that sticks to its guns but is not afraid to take a chance is the frame of mind going forward for seinan music. the label has some exiting plans for the future including remixes from another fcomm stalwart, llorca and more releases from sei a.

dj support by adultnapper & matthias kaden !! cynosure is proud to present the debut ep of one of italys finest house and techno djs, andrea fiorito. hailing from the southern city of bari, andrea brings new warmth to the otherwise ice cold italian house sound and delivers a timeless deep house original. things commence on >moderato mistico< with a subtle tribute to a close a friend that has some serious issues with partying called >boti world<. a stripped down minimal house groove with several different monster bass hooks. a killer bumping, grinding, walking bassline that heats the floor with every change up. but as we all know this is not enough to really push things to the limit, so andrea answers the call and brings the furry with givan on the sax. imagine that moment where things in your night boil over the edge and you begin to loose control. thats when givans post punk style sax attack begins to push things past the threshold of insanity. next we have the lovely >betty loop< feat the sensual voice amelia saul. a layer of percussion a la spring reverb set the pace leading into some piano chords and a giant bass hook that make up the foundation of the groove, laying the sonic rose pedals down for amelias presence to be heard. with a voice sweeter than honey and some twisted lyrics, she creates a sexy yet warped feeling in this track. and of course if the vocals were too much, you can play the dub version >betty goes to gio< and mix your heart out. with >moderato mystico< andrea fiorito lights the deep minmal house flame for cynosure closing the summer releases in style by producing heat that only a southern italian can. howie mangel
