U (I GOT A FEELING) (EATS EVERYTHING REMIX) (EP + BOX)
12" Vinyl UK09.10.18
bristolian producer daniel pearce, aka eats everything, has unveiled his remix of the timeless u (i got a feeling) by scot project, a release celebrating 25 years of iconic dance label, positiva records. having sound-tracked an array of nights over the last quarter of a century, 2018 marks positiva s anniversary year, with the eats remix preceding their upcoming weekend of shows at ministry of sound as a very special celebration of their 25th anniversary. established in 1993, the label sold a staggering 35 million singles in the uk alone and chalked up 14 #1 singles through the past two-and-a-half decades, with 2018 marking a year of celebration. rolling with a typically infectious bassline, eats latest release exhibits a rumbling bassline kept in check by crisp drum patterns. the ep comes with a box to house all other releases from the anniversary series.
i like to move it, go on move and can you feel it had already established erick morillo and the mad stuntman as one of the biggest new acts in 1994 - and then came raise your hands . originally starting life as asuca by r.a.w. (another morillo alias on the legendary strictly rhythm label), the addition of the mad stuntman s unmistakable vocals helped give them their 4th top 15 hit of the year. the update comes courtesy of uk producer shadow child, no stranger to chart success himself. -i couldn t wait to get my hands on this one,- added shadow child, who also debuts his acidub edit as part of the record s release. -that infectious riff has been going round in my head since i originally heard it and it is such a honour to get to make 2 versions!-
the vinyl features 2 remixes: de niro (agoria rotor remix) & de niro (dee montero remix), this is the third instalment of the positva 25 vinyl club, following scot project, u (i got a feeling) and motorcycle – as the rush comes.
with 2018 marking a quarter of a century for positiva being at the summit of the dance industry, the label have enlisted the work of both paul morrell, and latroit, to sprinkle modern magic on the timeless record. british producer and xxl resident dj paul morrell laces his own mix with euphoric, high-tempo chords and a floorfilling breakdown, a stark contrast to the deeper, gritty interpretation offered by 2018 grammy award winning american producer and composer, latroit, who added: - as the rush comes was obviously one of the stand-out tracks of the decade, and it was amazing to get my hands on that vocal. i ve also known dave dresden (one third of motorcycle) for years before this came out and it was great to reconnect and finally work with him creatively after all this time. the vinyl features 3 remixes of as the rush comes by latroit, paul morrell and dash berlin.
