otake 007 is the debut from the born new polish project id ensemble. the release is called hollow ep and is authored by filip kaczmarek, self taught musician with technological attention to detail. it is one of few projects which filip runs in parallel although this one is heavily influenced by berlin sound exports. it was created as an expression of the need to break from the pattern, escape from the trademark. there are four tracks on the ep which are inspired by some detroit and berlin sounds, thus still having some special polish touch.

wtm038 is definitely an outstanding release, something between house and real love to technoid sounds. the long a side comes with a classical intro and turns into a p erfect groovy but still monumental house track. the b starts with the track * call me a cap* and is the third collaboration with dop . great melodic atmospheric sounds with a perfect arrangement between vocals and all the typical addicted masomenos style. the second one on the b side has a featuring with tobi neumann who releases also his third ep with the french duo. * pushpush* is more trippy with a great step sequencer arrangement. all together, great release again from masomenos and this will be a special one which you surely wont forget

dj sounds presents moving, a 3 tracks record made for the dancers and the djs. track 1 -moving- is an elegant built around a filtered disco-ish sample, simple while very efficient. -casa suave- is a classic sounding house track, easy to spin and sure to please the crowd. closing the record, -fragments- is a bit slower and deeper with its roland pads and bass, still very danceable.

delsin records welcomes back dennis van gemert aka area forty_one for a second ep on the label. it is a second part to the nocturnal passions series started back in 2013, and come five years after his first ever release, which was on ann aimee in 2011, once again fusing ambient with techno, downtempo and electro. nocturnal passions part 2 is seven minutes of slithering electro funk. full of twinkling keys and spaced out chords, it has rugged bass and bumpy drums all making you want to move. voyage is then a raw, beat driven yet still brilliantly serene affair with angelic chords, consolation is a comforting, mid tempo tumble through the galaxy with soft focus, rippling melodies and gentle churning kicks and orbiting is a suspensory, fully ambient track that sounds like a slow journey up to heaven. this is teary eyed, emotive stuff that comes from another world entirely.

available for the first time in its entirety on vinyl is the 1989 debut album by detroit industrial techno band final cut produced by jeff mills and anthony srock.

taking a brief detour from his normal abrasive distorted sound, pinion showcases his broad spectrum as an artist with the desire ep. the title track, desire (half measure),starts out of the gate with a thunderous half beat 808 coupled with a swinging hihat pattern that slowly works ethereal vocal slices into the forefront, accompanied with a modulating synth pad that evolves into a defining melody. the sister track, desire (full measure), has very similar characteristics as the original, but allowing a little more edge for the dancefloor to build on. the third original track, recollection shifts gears quite drastically with a 135 bpm stormer with enough soul and melody to make the uncharacteristically fast tempo seem inconsequential. last, comes kyle geiger on remix duties to round out the ep with a housier take on desire, but still enough bite to fit nicely into any techno set.

the second offering from no more to roam, comes from one half of 2deepsoul, rai scott. a 3 track ep of low slung, sultry beats. clarinet moods, the eps namesake, comes in two different cuts both with the clarinet skills of rai herself, the melody mix is real nod to the afterhours, subtle drums & a haunting clarinet lick, while the lazy dub a little more upbeat, still has that afterhours vibe, carried with the clarinet & simple percussions, closing things up here is move to the front built for the dancefloor, a rolling bassline & synth, layered over a rolling percussion makes up the final cut.

new york s gunnar haslam appears on l.i.e.s. with his third lp for the label titled lebesgue measures. picking up where he left off on his last long player mirrors and copulation we hear an evolution in his sound throughout the nine songs. still there are the understated yet grooving acid lines next to carefully programmed drums and attention to surrounding detail which creates beautiful and balanced atmospheres. there is a brightness coupled with an underlying sullenness tapping into some sort of mystical and seemingly obscured narrative which moves through the entire record. deep and immersive stuff to say the least.
