a year after his debut album viaggi, amsterdam based italian marco antonio spaventi is back with another fine full length statement. entitled -isola sommersa and landing on m>o>s recordings, it follows up after many great eps on the label over the last five years. spaventi has a passion for old school house but always brings it up to date. using hardware tools like a natural extension of his body, he cooks up rugged grooves, nostalgic moods and smoky atmospheres that cocoon you in sound of its own. as well as releasing on other labels like slow motion, secretsundaze, pizzico records and cos mos, he is also an acclaimed production wizard and runs his own professional studio.

melbourne talent mos howieson makes his solo 12 inch debut with two heavy diverse originals, backed with remix trips from marco shuttle, eerie boss and recent time to express killer, plus berceuse heroique and macro artist, l estasi dell oro. kemuri beats with abrasive movements engulfing the listener, while bastion soothes with bukem-esque grace and weight. mr. shuttle drives the title track into hyperspace with a steady modular pulse. bastions rising melody is chopped to a galloping groove to the cosmos.

the mad aussies at haul music have changed things up a lot since the inception of their digital imprint nearly 5 years ago. in what might be described as a backwards move made by label-men who have simply lost their edge, they began releasing on vinyl only. first with a limited run of ornately illustrated portraits of the label owners, and now they are set to present a vinyl-only release from a cast of relative-unknowns.

after his excellent and well-received coded emotion ep on the mos label in late 2011, analogue fetishist perseus traxx returns for another mos outing. it finds the producer in similarly classic mode, exploring the deep down depths of house and techno in his own fuzzy and hugely atmospheric way.

michigan resident d marc cantu serves up his next album on the ever-excellent mos recordings on june 11th 2012. though essentially a house and techno producer, american cantu often goes further than most, calling on a world of influences to ensure his jacking productions are as far away from standard as possible, yet still do damage on the right dancefloors as have previous eps on this label, nation and crème organization.

though well respected and accomplished producers in their own right, together brian orgue electronique schijf and danny legowelt wolfers really make the girls go wild. their chicago shags project is one that has released on creme organization, bunker and strange life records, forever mining increasingly exciting house depths since 2005. now they return with the family album on the ever-excellent mos recordings.

nice price deal !!! for its next release, mos calls on the services of label head aroy dee and perlon/rush hour man san proper to craft a beautiful four track ep entitled perfume. the truth of the matter is, after the friends had enjoyed something of a wild night out in amsterdam, they returned to san propers studio for a live session which involved a bottle of scotch!

dollys first release in 2012 and immediately setting a high standard for the year to come! this time aroy dee under his mos disguise is delivering the deepness, and this one could be very well one of his strongest releases to date. present as usual are his trademark vintage synths & drums, but this goes beyond the average retro chicago stuff. skillfull on the machines while its very clear the music comes from deep within. marcel fengler on remix duty adds a little techno punch, which perfectly tops of this very fine release.

white label/stamped repress! the second release on the m>o>s record label could have been part of hollands rich techno-history, if released when the tracks where made. dating back as early as 1993, these two tracks come straight out of a plastic bag full of sa90 tapes in ross154s bathroom (thats where he plays his music loud) and a cardboard box filled with cassettes rediscovered while moving aroy dee into his way too expensive spacious loft in the historical centre of amsterdam.
