cute heels is the project of victor lenis, a contemporary electronic artist living in berlin, germany. he grew up in bogotá, columbia during the 1990s, surrounded by the radial punk scene. over the years, victor’s passion and fascination for synthesizers and drum machines to produce and compose resulted in his debut album “spiritual” for dark entries in 2014 as well as the “third skin” ep in 2016. inspired by equal parts liaisons dangereuses, drexciya and black devil disco club, cute heels connects the dots between detroit techno, early chicago house and belgium electronic body music. “state of mind” is a 4-track ep featuring the vocal talents of berlin artist aga wilk aka romance disaster on the the title track.

jungle/breakcore legends deformer are back with another horror infused release: “the living dead deformed”. deformer is known for putting the shock into electronic music and pushing the horror experience to another level. during their shows they cut off limbs and intestines are thrown into the audience while the extreme music turns the crowd into raging freaks. “the living dead deformed” pays hommage to one of the biggest horrorfilm classics of all time: “night of the living dead” (1968) and its creators.
the record was produced before the unfortunate passing of george a. romero. out of respect, deformer chose put out the record as a non-profit, limited edition, numbered by hand, green coloured vinyl release. the amazing cover art is created by legendary visual artist graham humphreys (a nightmare on elm street, the evil dead, poltergeist).
“the living dead deformed” is dark, menacing and will again turn parties into moshpits. they won’t stay deaf!

killekill house trax is going strong – this time with a 4-tracker by the incredible andreas gehm. he sent us the music shortly before his death and said we could pick any of his artist names and his only condition was that the music was released on vinyl. only after his death we realized that he had obviously already taken a decision then… so we are releasing this record now as an homage to one of the most creative and funniest persons in the electronic universe of the last decade. the ep includes all his typical styles and ranges from hard jacking acid house over weirdo electro house to old school chicago- leaning piano house. a timeless record for all situations. may you rest in peace, andreas, and thanks for still rocking our floors, even when you are long gone!

2 classics on one 12 single, gems excavated from the deepest realms of the tk disco vaults.on side a we have former foxy frontman ishmael ish ledesma with his sublime esoteric disco cut from 1979 called don t stop , a deep, late night diamond of a track that will appeal to the more left-field disco lovers out there. don t stop has long been a favourite with the diggers with it s sweet vocals, synth heavy production and overall cosmic vibe. a beauty of a track indeed and one of tk s lesser known cuts. side b sees fusion guitarist john tropea s 1979 cosmic classic living in the jungle , a long time spin of dj s like daniele baldelli and dj harvey. infusing tropea s rock sensibilities with the throb of the disco dance-floor the track is a low slung, midtempo groover that touches all the right spots. overall, this essential double-header is a must have for all disco heads and left-field dj fiends.

with the release of his third album just being me myles sanko has truly arrived. following the worldwide release in autumn 2016 the ghana born british soul singer and songwriter played sell out shows across europe and gained extensive airplay on all major radio stations from germany to france, from spain to the uk. this ain t living is a strong statement in troubled times and the second single from just being me. myles sanko will embark on an extensive european tour from march 2017.

after almost two decades, dan pius album self education (moto 003) finally gets the vinyl treatment it deserves: the best tracks extracted from dat tapes, pressed on wax and renamed to living in fear for cartulis music s fourth release. even though the original and incredibly exclusive cd was heard and appreciated in the years around its release in 1999 from djs such as jeff mills and carl craig, it was virtually impossible to own (only 30 copies were made, ever). despite its rarity and status, cartulis choses this masterpiece for one principal reason: the music. an exhibition of an innovative era, of heavy duty machinery (roland juno 60, roland juno 106, roland tr-909 and emu vintage keys, just to name a few) and of fine craftsmanship (using his own samples and playing the keys himself), the album opens your mind and ears to interconnecting styles of ambient atmospheres, electronic-instrumental hip hop, and signature dance-floor killers self education and living in fear. not only for fans of dan piu and his subsequent labels (moto music, deepartsounds, no acting vibes) but for any music aficionado that appreciates a deeply cult classic.

there is little information available about the band, but the “living funk” documentary changes all that. now the music does the talking here with the extremely rare, no-nonsense funk jazz instrumentals “let your mind take the place of your body” parts 1 & 2.

six years ago, claremont 56 boss paul ‘mudd’ murphy tried to track down via his dj network, former freeez band-members john rocca and andy stennett to license pink rhythm’s “melodies of love”, for one of the originals compilations. they didn’t show up on the radar.
earlier this year, however, out of the blue, stennett got in touch with murphy. for much of the last two decades, he’d been living on a remote island off orkney, but was now pursuing music again.

aquarius heaven is brian brewster, an artist brought up between texas and the caribbean who has laid down some compelling, socially and politically minded verses on magical eps for labels like wolf & lamb and circus company. fusing reggae, dancehall, house and hip hop he is a unique talent who has also worked with dop, miss kittin, ryan crosson, art department, mathias kaden and many more.

the second release in this series starts with the heavily supressed and hypnotic energy of efdemin’s spiegelkerker remix on side a. creating a dreamlike atmosphere, the track is carried by a slowly developing beat that keeps you totally engaged as it floats along. as a contrast, psyk’s remix of miscellanous pt.7 on b1, with its classic 909 drum appeal and engrossed pad harmonies, creates a very deep classical vibe worthy of a black dog reference. the final track, a remastered version of morgenstern’s return of the living deaf presents its pleasantly over-funked snare programming and build-ups that forge “true techno” eclecticism and dance floor functionality into one mighty laser sword of a track. limited to 300 copies

king ghazi is shadi khries and gilbert cohen. recorded in amman / may 2014. all the music presented here is original, and has been recorded in jordan in may 2014. this project was born when i met shadi in paris, at the percussion recording sessions for acid arab. from these sessions came the idea of&#8203,,,,,exploring local music styles on the verge of disappearing, in jordan and elsewhere in the middle east. it was also an opportunity for me to meet exceptional people and wonderful artists. for 15 days, we travelled through jordan, recording local musicians. here we hear osama al khairat aka abu sayah, an exiled syrian musician who plays the yarghoul (two flutes linked together by beeswax. one plays a drone, the other the corresponding range, all while blowing continuously). i want to specially thank shermine sawalha for allowing us to record in the living room of her parents house, as well as for coordinating the whole project. without her energy and patience, this record would not be in your hands today.
