repress 2019 - hailing from ibiza, beeyou makes its first outing as a label with a strong selection of up and coming talent. laidlaw is first on the scene with a crafty little minimal number that certainly sounds tailored to the up all night crew with its heady atmosphere, playful swing and micro samples. ben ulrich s -bedun- is equally seductive, playing a trade in stripped down electro that shuns obvious dancefloor moves in favour of pure hypnotism. kesh holds down the b side with two more maximal offerings that still align with the inventive, sleek aesthetics of the a side tracks. -enebodiom- is a feel good jam without ever resorting to cheesy melodies or vocal touches - it s a jazzed out variation on positivity in house music. -we love you michael- completes the record with a quintessential skittering, swinging house cut that keeps the freakiness in abundance and the drums as funky as possible.

hearlucinate was born as a party in leeds, england and is now taking it s vibe to the capital london for a series of events. at each of these parties there will be a limited edition record created by resident tristan da cunha and the special guest of the party. for the debut release we have tone dropout s dance floor detonator dawl dropping two tasty cuts , tristan da cunha coming with a nice house club bubbler and freakenstein punching in with a strong debut in the shape of a booty banging electro jam. designed purely for the dance floor ... these jams are guaranteed to slam.

for the 4th emission in the sonar base transmissions series, deeptrax records turns back to the 2005 release on the now defunct uk label scsi av. like all older sonar base releases, the original vinyl issue of transmissions from beyond hoag s object is highly sought after, with matching high prices for a decent copy. next to that, the original version had a few flaws: the labels had been flipped, and the mastering wasn t up to the current standards. the tracklisting remained the same, only the sequence of the 6 tracks has slightly changed. those familair with the other sonar base releases know what to expect: pitch-dark, well crafted electro from outer space, some with a hint of melancholy. pressed at their own pressing plant deepgrooves on an 180gr heavy weight pressing.

the man, the myth, the legend, back in the 80s jesse rae, along with roger troutman and bernie worrell, was part of the p-funk movement that was hugely influential to detroit’s early electronic experiments. lesser known is that the enigmatic scot-funk warrior later produced underground electronic tracks in the 90s. the inaugural release on glasgow label southside shufflers presents two of jesses shufflers on vinyl for the first time on the global 95 ep- a sampler from his pioneering 1995 album compression. ever the innovator, jesse recorded the album collaboratively using live isdn technology spanning three continents, with the resultant tracks fusing african, us electro-funk and old scots influences. 23 years later, jesse’s under the radar shufflers sound more relevant than ever. southside shufflers are a record label and sports collective based in glasgow with outposts in london and amsterdam. sss aint no half steppin!
