a track thats been generating some serious heat for a while now becomes the second track of the year to come out on strictly. the original mix is deep house at its very best, with a haunting vocal courtesy of margaret grace while quentins production keeps the track beautifully layered and polished to perfection. but its the harry choo choo romero mix that everyones been talking about, with a peaktime version that builds and builds to a crescendo of big synths and raised hands.

as one of the most influential house labels of the 80s sleeping bag has stood the test of time with its releases. 25 years on and the tracks still provide the dance world with a regular source of sample material. here on this double lp compilation are some of sleeping bags most seminal records released during a ten year period, which brought to attention the sublime production talents of the labels cofounder arthur russell and a&r skills of curtis mantronik. the collection contains the track dinosaur l produced by russell, remixed and subsequently made famous by francois kevorkian. the sleeping bag family also extended to legendary producer and dj todd terry, who re mixed several of sleeping bags tracks. also featuring on this release is joyce sims with two tracks taken from her hit album come into my life. after the death of russell in 1992 the label limped on for awhile but finally shut its doors the same year.
