supported by: radio slave, robert dietz, lauhaus, alex celler, matt tolfrey, slam, anthea, konrad black, anthony collins,.. air london presents the debut solo release from adam shelton. already releasing music with subb-an (either as subb-an & shelton or under their sas guise), air trax marks the first full release for adam in his own right, and its one hell of an introduction. both tracks here have been made for the late night hours as adam shelton really gets into his gritty groove with this speaker-busting double hitter. >crazy talk< starts off with a hypnotic rolling drumbeat and a fixating, echoing vocal that builds until the driving bassline kicks in and leaves you hooked. on the flip >do not attempt< is another killer cut with clipped broken beats and crisp hi-hats. a shady vocal, uttered throughout, is swathed in siren cries and more brooding bassline
big with: davide squillace, gregor tresher, konrad black, ray okpara, tim green, joel mull, gel abril, mihai popoviciu, alexi delano, daniel sanchez, marc marzenit, dustin zahn, okain, doomwork, todd bodine, wally lopez, arnaud le texier, daniele papini, jorge savoretti, danny howells, michel de hey and more
ltd repress !!! where to begin with >likewise<...from a handful of cds that emerged early last spring >likewise< was by far the record of the night at diddys house party in miami. it then hit the top spots in mixmags charts and became one of the most wanted tracks by every a list dj during ibiza this summer and is still being championed by djs such as luciano and lee van dowski !
here it is, the third release on the snuff crew label snuff trax! on snuff trax 003 you find winter in june. you might already know this track from the snuff crew livesets. winter in june is maybe the most melodic snuff trax release so far. this floating music is not only for the body - it s also something for the heart. on the b-side, dance disorder, who release on labels like bpitch control, deliver a fantastic and very epic remix. this mix was also already played by snuff crew in their set for tim sweeneys beats in space show. stx 003 is limited to 250 hand-numbered vinyls.
cabin fever pulls in the production skills of alexkid (f com, cadenza) for this killer limited vinyl only release. >i want it all< is already turning into a bit of an anthem for radio slave with its relentless kick and vocal. whereas >lovemusic< is all about the groove. this time pressed on clear/transparent vinyl
first on decks.de !! >when you dont have a single home, the no man s land of being in transit can be strangely comforting.< heimwehg is a mixture of the german word heimweh (aching for home) and heimweg (the way home). these two words represent the sound of hannes smiths first own release. hannes, born in the former german communist area in 1986, lived in reykjavik for the past two years and wrote this ep about the way back home to germany.
toolroom trax round off a phenomenal year with their third installment of winter samplers packed with toolroom treats from leading artists michael woods, umek, paul thomas & jerome isma-ae and muzzaik.
cabin fever is proud to present the first of two rather special 12s of strictly rhythm classics re edited by radio slave. officially licensed and to be released as part of a forthcoming double mix cd, the first of the 2 x 12s contains two bonafide classics from the strictly vaults reworked for modern dancefloors

the fifth release contains more rare tracks from the trax catalogue. the a-side features two mixes of the little known gwendolyn track, which originally came out on precision records (named after larry shermans pressing plant) in 1984. this early vocal (house) gem was produced by vince lawrence and jessie saunders. it comes in two versions. a more straight forward original and a more dubbed out version by farley jackmaster funk. a real treat. side b features another early 80s chicago track, again by vince lawrence and jessie saunders aka z-factor featuring screaming rachel. classic chicago house tracks
much awaited return to lost trax! scsi-av has been a well respected electro and techno label since it was born in september 2008. almost 12 years later and after a short break scsi is back with a classy detroit techno record which has been sat in the vaults for quite some time waiting patiently to be released. as the second part of the lost trax series. expect deep bass, booming 808 kicks and carl craig-esque sounding strings. the production on both sides of this record is amazing showing the digital generation that analogue kit still sounds supreme. the lost trax series is a project for producers who have inspired the label to record something special and release anonymously as we dont believe its necessary to sell music on the strength of a specific artists reputation.
south london boy jitterbug drops his 2nd ep on uzuri after his well received debut >raw winter< early 2009. he pretty much continues where he left off. raw, deep cuts, strictly for the heads with even more attention to the detail. taking in disco, via chicago, detroit and london! a self assured 2nd ep and strictly unmissable!
toolroom trax continue to bring you club rocking anthems that are essential for any djs playlist! toolroom trax bring sunshine to enlighten your aural pleasure with the first in a series of summer samplers packed with toolroom delights from leading artists mark knight, funkagenda, dave spoon, dirty south and tong & rogers.
this third release in the series mostly touches on the magic of jamie principle. however, this ep opens with a sublime deep vocal track originally released on trax sub-label saber in 1991 by ace & the sandman (who are also responsible for the virgo four tracks). featured here are some of jamie principles best tracks, produced by frankie knuckles. as with many trax releases, there are lots of unreleased , reel to reel only mixes around. we came across an unreleased version of >bad boy<. the quality is not at best, but we included it nevertheless. magic stuff!
nice price deal !!! a rolling bassline kick that glides trough snapping and chopped up vocals makes this track a certain floor filler. and when half way trough you hear the latino guitar riff slice its way in, you can just wait until it hits off.giving the track power and funk! and incredibile mix of latino funk and straight on 4/ house. on b side you can find an eclectic remix of stoned chicken, who brings out a more samba feel also by dubbing down the guitar, a gradual build up track.
>the hissing subsides< is rico puestels (also well known as dinamoe) selection of pure bliss deep house. each of the four tracks has a different potential. whilst >dammit im mad< and >carving down< go straight to the floor with pounding tech house grooves, >dler< and >i only wear this bonnet here< take the listener to the dubbier sides of house.
in the last 12 months thomas golds profile has soared skywards, his remix credits reads like a who is who of the global dance scene, erick morillo, robbie rivera, paul van dyk, roger sanchez, alex gaudino have all had a bit of gold sprinkled on them. not forgetting his award nomination for his mix of delirium >silence< and his recent mixes of pete
perc opens up the vertigo releases with his most singleminded track in years. based around a looping, lo-fi groove bcg is both a perfect dj tool and an unforgettable lead track. occasional blasts of distortion break up the rhythmic flow but this is no clichéd white noise soaked epic, just pure heads-down basement techno. first up to remix bcg is scotlands forward strategy group, who thanks to their releases on fsg and retail & leisure have soon won the support of such techno lynchpins as marcel dettmann and surgeon.
mike maze returns for 2010! some of you might remember mike maze from one of his older projects together with martin gast as abysm. >future love< on marc romboys systematic label was one of the labels best sold releases ever. >the path< is a deep technotic track with an epic instrumentation. warm chords fly over the dark notched groove and the synths have an almost trancy touch which puts you into a great mood. including mixes by autodeep and micha mischer.
classic alert! the first official repress and this time on 2lp. a dream come true! full info soon... this is a very special record. our favourite contender for best house album ever made. this album does not have one filler, all tracks are essential pieces of house music. of course, it includes the more known do you know who you are and in a vision. but check out ride and school hall for instance. originally released under m.e., and much overlooked. this album will be released with new artwork and re-mastered tracks. the vinyl will be available as 2x12, 2 tracks per side loud pressing !! virgo are merwyn sanders and eric lewis. they also recorded as ace & the sandman and m.e. and shouldn-t be confused with the other virgo of vince lawrence and co.
lil tony is hotter than hot. while starting to dj and produce years ago, tony has been a staple in the scandinavian club scene since the early 90s. an amazing dj (actually one of the favourites around the moodmusic hq) and a talented producer, tony started with the fbi project with roberto rodriguez and kimmo oksanen before dropping some serious damage on raw trax vol. 1 last year on moodmusic. caned by everyone from luciano (he edited his own version of semble) to dj hell, tonys raw grooves cut the crap and moved people when other producers had to take a leak. hardworking, never forgetting his gentleman manners, tony is here to stay and raw trax vol. 2 is a bold new statement, and his best work to date. solid state takes the classic detroit influenced drum machine vs piano theme a step forward, a impeccable jam of 15 minutes with the beat keeping the pace, this has been roadproofed the last 6 months to good effect. the b-side karamba is a dry, tight driven tech-workout, perfect mixtool for the deeper techno as well as housier sets. it just works well. the closing checkpoint charlie is a tale of >lost in helsinki< – dark mean bass wanders around and gives space for the chuggin main line, monotonic body music at its best.
their debut perc trax release opens up with noson, a track which perfectly demostrates their sound, with tough but clear 909 drums underpinning a dubbed-out industrial soundscape that continually evolves as the track runs its course. on the flipside comes the 2-part indifference. part 1 featuring intense echoing synth stabs over clipped drums whilst part 2 goes deeper, but still with enough muscle to work in the sets of most djs. watch out for donor / truss remix of forward strategy group, coming up on perc trax in early 2010.
