claque musique present their fifth release, which is a technoid gem from hugo (already responsible for the brilliant third 12 inch on the label, entitled born to bop) called strobo revenge. another zany electronic bullet that is destined to cause mayhem on dancefloors worldwide! on the a side, jumping beats, vocal mirages and compressed synths create the groove on the original mix of the title track. a fizzing bassline and echoing whistles enter later on and they give the track a slice of claque musique zaniness. a2, prismatic visual, is a powerful floor filler, which is slightly less crazy then its musical partner. hugo uses dependable percussion, watery synth action and inviting vocals to create this musical treat. on the flip side, carola pisaturo brings us a moody version of strobo revenge that squeezes something else out of those whistles. she employs heads down percussion, vocal shards and smooth synths on her version. portable/bodycode heightens the intensity with a jackin rerub that sends the track in another direction completely. marching beats, acidic synths and hollow bass drops work wonders on abrahams revision

first vinyl pressing of twin infinitives since the original vinyl issue in 1990. after moving to san francisco, royal trux released the highly experimental double album twin infinitives. this album remains an extreme work on the periphery of rock music, worthy of being compared to lou reeds metal machine music and suicides debut album. at only four subdivided tracks, none of which clock in under 15 minutes, the record has plenty of time to weave a mesmerizing web that is sometimes menacing, sometimes startling. for all of its high brow allusions, twin infinitives nearly reeks of vice, a dark, sordid feel pervades the record, and the listener can almost picture the band recording in a filthy apartment in the middle of the night in various states of intoxication and debauchery.

fimo is the project of three guys from the music city of mannheim. each of them has a variety of musical roots, which in combination developed to an ambitious and productive trio. the influences are ranging from deep house enriched with jazzy and dubby elements to minimal groovy tunes. these guys have been musically active in the rhein/neckar region for many years. with the pollenflug ep they present their first release and allow for a small view on their interpretation of electronic music. besides djing and studio work, fimo are currently working on their live performance. the ep already got huge support from loco dice, luciano, ray okpara, johnny d, nekes, federico molinari, pablo bolivar, lars behrenroth!

after a wait of 15 years and numerous 12es, e s, random compilation tracks and remixes rude 66 has finally finished a full length album and dare we say it s his most cohesive work to date? sadistic tendencies begins where 2005 s three faces of fear ep ended, with 18 tracks that slide like snails on the edge of straight razors, exploring the dark side of the human condition. thematically connected, deep, dark and mind bendingly analogue, sadistic tendencies is both tense and full of release, sometimes brooding and encroaching at other times exploding into throbbing synth laden dance floor bombs. superlatives aside, sadistic tendencies works exceptionally well as an album and is one of those rare 70 minute journey s that can be enjoyed from beginning to end – like a good horror movie that scares the hell out of you, but keeps drawing you in.

the second release on important hardcore records and after the huge success of the first release (masters of noise) we can assure this one will score big time in hardcore land too! this powerful 3 tracker is produced by a new, highly talented producer from germany: dj hurricane! his feeling for innovative sounds and melodies, gadgets and arangements are simply amazing. the ep starts on the a side with rock a party and the track does exactly what the name says,a pure party tune which will cause total mayhem on all international hardcore floors!the flip side starts with listen up which is a bit harder & agressive, yet still it remains quite mainstream as soon as the terrific break drops in. to finish the 12inch we find keep the crowd jumpin which is basic yet dedaly effective track full of cool melody lines. another fine piece of hardcore work presented by important hardcore records, top notch release for all hardcore lovers out there!!

after 17 years of working together, tejada & leviste are back in the studio again putting their modular synths to good work. m tracks (m as in modular) features 4 analog workouts in varying styles. m track 1 features a melodic deep, yet driving track reminiscent of the duos best known work. m track 2 and 3 showcase a trackier sound focusing on basic elements while m track 4 turns in a much more experimental direction. the approach to this ep was a very fun, hands on process. analog sequencers are used to drive the various modular synths and their components. this process allowed for a more organic feel as the unstable electronics change over time as well as the manual changing of parameters over time. systems used include doepfer and frostwave sequencers, and modular systems consisting of cwejman, doepfer, harvestman and bananalogue modules. analog drum machines aided in the rhythms, however m track 3 was generated from pure modular hardware including the drums.

bang on house music! kez ym is a japanese producer and hosts his own club night in tokyo and plays along side jazzanova, gilles peterson, jimpster, ame, jazztronik and many more. sweetly confused is a 12inch with deeeep house groovers with phat basslines, solid key- and synth work, dreamy leads and a catchy vocal sample. maybe the strongest house banger on the ice versatile 4lux label! this easily fits in dj sets next to tracks from moodymann, theo parrish, rick wade and the like. simply timeless house music. another winner.

after several remixes and longtime waiting our artist h.o.s.h. releases his next own ep. and he is back with a real banger! >the valve< sounds connected to steppenwolf, but feels more like a coninue: more modern, more pushing and more groove. like hell! a balkan- flute plays sometimes, but very harmonic to the track. heebie-jeebie! >super sick bowl< is a fantastic groove, too, but a bit more housy like classic recordings. awesome, never boring housebeat spiced with two cool and sick breaks. this loop could run forever. single words work perfect with the beat and provide a stimulating sexappeal. under a fig tree starts more technoid with the sound, but has still a groovy house for 3 minutes til the break - and out of this break a new sound is evolving. on the one this track continues with a warm bass hook, leaving the technoid sounds behind. what a twist! just beautyfull! thanx hosh

adam beyers drumcode label has its ten year anniversary this year and there will be many releases as well as a massive compilation album project later in the year featuring brand new tracks from many of the label s key artists. one of the newest additions is the producer of this new release - tor lowkrantz or mighty thor as he is known. this 4 tracker again demonstrates the open musical policy of the label. the last hardcell release was a fine piece of work demonstrting influences from both hard and minimal techno sensibilities. this release focuses more on the harder end of the scale but still remains fresh with its almost old jeff mills and rob hood influences. all 4 tracks have a fat groove and are saturated with funk yet still pack serious punch in any set. another winner from drumcode

another quality dmx krew masterpiece we at turbo are longtime fans of dmx krew, so its a real honor to work with him again 6 years after his last contribution to our now defunct sub-label white leather. we dont normally trace an artists history or include much biography in our press releases, but we feel the need in this case to pay our respects to a long and brilliant career. with all the crap that gets paraded around nowadays its easy to forget who the real masters are... ed dmx is one of them. ive always held a soft spot for ed, he was one of my favorite producers in the proto-electro heyday. hearing his live version of the knight rider theme at sona (tigas club circa 96) was (believe it or not) a revelation. of all the artists id met up until then, he was the coolest, he could play synths better than anyone id ever heard, he had the balls to do vocals in his live-set but he was a sweet, softspoken, and super funny guy. for reasons ive never understood, eds pop side didnt seem to take off and for awhile things took a distinctly experimental turn... interesting stuff, but a departure

the original mix by duomek takes the form of their musical ideals: house, deep house and minimal. no doubt it aims to the most select dance floors. jon gurd is the one chosen to make the first remix, that for sure will make a lot of harm in the floors. talking about jon gurd is to talk about one of britain?s top class artist of the last years that djs all around the world, produces exquisite music, hold the label killawatt and runs his own program in ministry of sound radio. his productions are habitual in sets of artists like hernan cattaneo, james zabiela o carl cox. tech house of its best of purest kind. finally we find the vision of mintone through inigo ourezabals eye, the 50 percent of monomachine. this dj and producer from zaragoza has been recognized in this last two years as one of the best artist in the spanish music scene. paradigma, wit, leftroom o immigrant are some of the labels that have released his work. this time he bets for a very effective techno that will catch the ear of the lovers of this style.

after his latest release on joia sincerely yours which was played by david guetta, joachim garraud, axwell ..., roman salzger is back on the hot swedish joia rec. ! this time he delivers a big-room monster tune with a very catchy synth hook. the remixes are from avicci, sebastian drums & rolf dyman work machine remix!

this record has been in the making for some time. originally, hott 22 created a track called, &#147,i feel love&#148,. bonnie bailey heard the song, loved the track, and wanted to write lyrics to it. bonnie and eric kupper went into the studio with hott 22&#146,s track to record and produce bonnie&#146,s lyrics for it. after we heard bonnie&#146,s performance, we were extremely excited, and asked the legendary eric kupper to create a new remix. shortly after, we asked thomas gold to work his magic on the track and he created some real gems to an already solid package. finally, the alter ego live element had to get in on the project as well, and produced two more floorfillers.

the first of the series is the work of young parisian prodigy mondkopf (known for his acclaimed remixes for grand national, the teenagers, johnny cash). his ep (declaration of) principles mixes futuristic techno in christmas, sainte (playlisted by pedro winter) and the amoral poem ave maria, accompanied by an odyssey remix by i :cube.
