victor simonellis groove committee alias inspired much of the upbeat vocal house we hear today thanks to seminal releases on nu groove records in the early 90s. simonellis *i want you to know*, from the eponymous ep released in 91, enjoys a rerelease and remix overhaul on the upstart deep down slam label. inner senses knows the truth mix boosts the overall presence of simonellis original, by reinforcing the drums, hats and chords with deft touches of neoteric sound design, while deep down slam label-head washerman opts for cut up and interspersed vocals and loopy instrumentation in his mix. french house ball of fire kool vibe, turns up the heat - and punch - in his chord riffing remix, paying homage to a originator that has no doubt influenced his own productions.

having launched the n16 loving newington label with a split release from a range of bubbling uk house talents, waze & odyssey turn to a more familiar name for the second release with the cross flatts ep from pbr streetgang. formed of the wonderfully named bonar bradberry and tom thorpe, pbr streetgang have been quietly accruing a respectable discography since the project was founded oop north roughly five years back. elevated into wider consciousness last year thanks to some stellar 12 inches across hot creations, 20:20 vision and futureboogie, it makes perfect sense for bradberry and thorpe to add the similarly minded newington label to their cv with both cuts on this 12&#8243,,, fitting snugly into the current lexicon of vocally driven deep house.

george k, dj and producer, born in 1981, based in milan. his first steps in music date back a long time, when he began taking an interest in mixing and scratching techniques. his roots are hip hop and reggae, but in a short time thanks to breakbeat (rockit - herbie hancock) he abandoned that sound for experimentations in electronic music: techno was love at first listen, detroit and acid above all. with the passing of time he has begun to dedicate himself as much as possible to productions using synth and drum machine. now he has begun his new venture as owner/manager of his label fu.me where he will focus his work on promoting new and old sounds - without forgetting his roots - offering bad and dirty sounds .

for hardway bros first ep for throne of blood, sean looked back to the late 80s belgian new beat scene as well as chicagos storied wax trax imprint for inspiration, turning in two walloping originals that could just as easily soundtrack a gothic club night instead of an acid house rave. on the a-side, a/b musique kicks off the proceedings with a steady lurching rhythm, driving the dancefloor to ecstacy thanks to densely layered synths and the contributions of timothy j. fairplay of the asphodells fame. the flipside features the absolutely devasting rhythms of shorty backed by an utterly epic nine-minute remix by scott fraser which manages to fuse the disparate sounds of new beat and the lush analog house vibes of classic mr. fingers even as it name checks the latters legendary above the clouds lp.

last part of the cliff unknown series! again a wonderfull timeless track from very well known artists ... maybe you realise them :) its an older track from this loved duo and they contribute it for this project - thanks one more time!

cork label basic grooves keep the focus on irish talent for their fifth release as label boss shane linehan welcomes his namesake bambrick into the fold for some well judged, atmospheric deepness. the process finds the waterford based producer veering through dark, heads down terrain though the dubby elements are complemented by a woozy melodic melancholy thanks to the gentle chords that spread out. linehan maintains the basic groove momentum on the flip with a remix that is more stripped back, lending those chords some glowing incandescence, whilst the percussion swells with sweet intensity as it progresses.

kool vibes groovin ep oozes classic french house vibes form the get-go thanks to the opener no more wastin. stocato rhode stabs are met with quick-jangled percussion, cut vocals (like the french only know how) and thumping beats. underground settles down a little, maintaining a sultry groove with a chord driven hustle, while groovin is upbeat french house at its best. feel it features more juicy and looped up sample action with call and response vocals thrown in for added effect. a must have for the french house connoisseur.

finally out of little britain, ahum, sorry, out of little paxton, mr. rogers is currently thriving on his newly acquired medication of high-quality codeine, all thanks to the benign blessings of the pharmaceutical industry: his house is definitely jackin it deeper and browner than ever before, almost sounding like a ron hardy shooting up at the end of a hard days night back in the days of the warehouse.

ceephax, the pope of acid music of the 2000s, has grown up between giorgio moroders sound and the library music of the bbc. these multiple influences are transcribed again in this triple album which could be an imaginary ost. he proves with this work of art that he has reached his whole maturity thanks to a great sense of narration and his mastery of analogue machines. welcome in cro magnox planet!

slowly but surely spencer parkers work them label has been gaining a deserved reputation as a no nonsense house and techno imprint thanks to releases from the likes of pittsburgh track authority and dana ruh. now it is the turn of the s:vt who serves up one track, basement sweat, complete with a remix, which will then be followed by a separate 12 inch featuring two remixes from arttu. the original track pairs classic, piled-on-top-of-each other claps with a freewheeling melody that runs up and down the scale. the bottom end is streamlined and techno inclined, bringing with it plenty of raw warehouse vibes. the no strings attached mix loses the melody and ups the percussive ante, chopping up and slicing out patterns as that bottom end continues to burrow on.

pete is a club dj, music producer and radio presenter, but way beyond any name or title he is a music fan. in fact, pete is a music man. thanks to his broad musical taste, deep musical knowledge and boundless energy and enthusiasm, he is one of the lucky few who have managed to turn *what i love* into *what i do*. pete does music full time, full on all the time.
