we present you the third release in our very successful collaboration series with roar groove and the revenge. straight after his new brilliant album when the thrill comes that was release in may this year graeme clark is back on dirt crew with four new gems. the opening, funky and twisting, times get tough is a deep rolling down tempo disco/ house stomper that builds into this ecstatic groove we got to love so much from his previous outings. pure good times and hands in the air action promised on this one! subconcious is that darker and meaner side of house track with a slammin chicago beat he delivers this old school jackin feel. big bass lines and soulful vocal samples tied together by on the fly drum patterns. the b-side of this new ep opens with an hypnotic jam that builds and builds till those sweet synths start soaring in. all carried by this ultra phat bass line, we can only imagine how this one will sound on a massive sound system! searchlight is def a highlight of this release. can we go even deeper and darker? oh yes! with come down we get a proper come down to close this ep. deep sub basses with floating tops and again that classic jack house beat. certainly a late night track made for those sweaty and long dj sets. summer is here and the revenge has the perfect soundtrack for hot and steamy nights, inside or on the open field!

on a mission is exactly that, a mission of love, a mission of peace . the positive vocals hark back to those of early 90s house tracks, which created unity through music and clubbing. the rhythmic beat of the drum is determined, as percussive layers build and the vocals bleed into the synths. francois k provides two variations of the track. his remix features more prominent drumbeats driven by a growling bassline. on his rockers dub version, francois goes all out and dubs us into the stratosphere. up next is the michael mayer remix, with a more electronic take on the original with driving synths and a whirring, throbbing bass-line.

radio slave’s colossal ‘the revenge’ track now gets expert remix treatment from klasse wrecks label head luca lozano. luca has also released on the likes of optimo, sex tags ufo and unknown to the unknown and brings a raw, acid tinged sound to his beats. as a performer lozano’s versatile dj sets span between raw house, cosmic disco and dynamic breakbeat selections, which is why he’s become a regular at key clubs across europe and tasteful festivals like houghton. his ‘how bow dis’ remix’ is solid and features wild old school flavours in its huge drum breaks, a monstrous bassline and dark filtered vocals. it bangs for seven superbly heavy minutes with plenty of twists and turns along the way, and will transform any club or warehouse into a writhing, sweaty mass in seconds. on the flip, his ‘how bow dah’’ version is based around elastic drums and rumbling bass while a loose synth line darts about up top. some distant synths bring a sense of serenity to the madness and so despite the physical impact of this one, it also has real emotion to it.

next up on dabj, hissman aka fabio monesi is an artist we have been massive fans of since we started playing nobodys talking which featured on our 2014 dabj bbc radio 1 essential mix a few years back. through his labels hardmoon and wilson records, he has brought some of the freshest jams to our ears in quite some time. for his first outing on dabj, shit gets real. masterfully crafted mechanized, rough, tough techno belters in that inimitable hissmanstyle... dont sleep on this.

ron maney also known as dj skull lived in the southside of chicago (il, usa). his musical career started during the summer of 1986, while recovering from a broken bone. during the following years he homed his craft, djing first at basement parties, building his reputation to go on to larger events such as, loft and hotel parties, and eventually the infamous music box and power plant clubs. at the age of fifteen ron shopped his first demo at trax records. there he first met chicago s legendary dj ron hardy, working as a&r for trax records. two years, and a new alias later (dj skull) later while at the power plant, chicago s own steve poindexter heard a dj playing one of rons tracks, and met ron. steve was now a&r at saber records and invited ron to release some tracks. so in october of 1991 dj skull s first record -n.r.g. music- was released. in 1993, he released the ep -the stomping grounds- on djax-up-beats, which was more noted than the first one. over the years that followed dj skull released lots of ep s on several labels. he has become well-respected producer and dj in the techno industry
