phat driven technotracks with sweet background melody (mix1) or brutal gamesounds (mix 4) or harder techno tracks --> also incl some loop for your dj player heart
with a prime palindrome inigo kennedy, as always, provides an array of distinctive and original tracks that continue to stand out from the crowd.avoiding titles the music does the talking. bounded by an intro and outro here are four tracks that push the envelope further than most.kicking off with a brutal and driving digital assault a1 has been tearing up sound systems in many ways reminiscent of the seminal asy001.a2 builds on the intricate and mature edge of the asymmetric sound. a strong and evolving melody draws you in over a slow moving atmosphere. underpinned by a classic kennedy rhythm and characteristic of the unique way he layers sounds together.driven by a warmly distorted rolling rhythm b1 turns up the heat once again whilst over the top floats a trademark futuristic atmosphere.b2 dives straight back into the world of digital manipulation. an elastic loop is treated. its pitch slowly grows. the effect is almost imperceptible. the result is hypnotic.
bit with luke slater, adam beyer, the advent !! essential techno, part 10. two years ago, inigo kennedy put token on the map with a huge first release. now he returns again with a solid & storming dance floor ep!
supported & played by dave clarke, paul mac, angel molina, dj shufflemaster, mark broom, laurent garnier, cari lekebusch and many more.. after the storm one year ago, caused by inigos >identify yourself< (token 1), we just had to have a follow up. and not just a regular follow up.. token 5 contains 4 individual floorfillers that are each special in their own way.
the a-side is a deep beautiful almost detroit-ish string track with a really good sence of progression. on the b-side is a percussive and really nervous twister with strings and dark sound scapes. it definitly will be noticed in any dj set !
as well as manning his own label duro, theus mago can be found slinging out heat on turbo, kill the dj and more recently ombra. the mexican producer returns to home turf for his latest transmission, serving up one original track with two killer remixes. -inertials- is a rowdy beast in its original form, tapping up a breakbeat roll, dirty wave synth stabs and plenty more sonic debris for a cut that spans a whole lot of styles and makes them gel together seamlessly. inigo vontier takes the original and makes it into a bone-rattling drum track to batter the crowd into submission very late on in the dance. jamie paton takes a different approach on the b-side, weaving a little tenderness into the mix with some elegant synth lines that offset the raw bite of the drums beautifully.
a lot of inigo vontier s early material was confined to the digital realm, but now the mexican dj and producer is starting to get recognition on wax for his heady brew of old methods and a taste for the freakier end of the party spectrum. this 12- for mexican label calypso leads in with the strangely unsettling but strident -wirikuta,- before the snappy surge of tightly wound tech variation -marakame- comes leaping into ear shot. -maxa- marks out its own unique space with a heavy broken beat excursion, leaving it to dreems to ruminate on -wirikuta- for a closing remix.
mexican producer iñigo vontier releases his 5th ep, including a massive remix from tolouse low trax (salon des amateurs, antinote). this new lumière noire release will be accompanied by a tour of iñigo vontier in europe.
it s not often we get an insight into the electronic music of south america, so all hail the arrival of calypso from mexico s inigo vontier and argentina s thomass jackson. the tracks featured certainly strike a unique chord, with mendrix weaving a seductive, noirish tale full of brooding guitar and slow ticking drums, while -colossio- takes on a darkwave tone on the wonderfully creepy -esta en mi-. the label bosses tackle the b side, with jackson s -fantomas- sporting a sharper dancefloor sensibility without ever resorting to obvious tropes. vontier rounds the ep out with the weirdo boogie throwdown of -namaste-, sure to pique the interest of anyone locked into the sound coming out of the speakers.
rayko and inigo vontier remixes, dj rocca doesnt need much introduction... he has been very prolific over the years producing music and touring the world but a little known fact that he is a great musician especially on the flute,) hes recent collaborations include danielle baldelli and dimitri from paris
