1/2 gott is the new project of sneaker from dresden/berlin and scannoir from zurich, who share their love for ebm and synth pop not only when djing but also when producing. in several nights and with the help of a decent group of instruments, they have evoked a series of tracks that can certainly be subsumed as new swiss wave. the first record is entitled 1/2 gott and will be followed by gott in the foreseeable future. the result is music that sounds as if the iron curtain had never fallen. although sneaker likes to step to the microphone, he leaves the vocals to scannoir, who gives the perfect counterpart for the menacing beats with his deep laments. the tracks are little masterpieces in the matter of repetition with whipping drums and off-beat percussions. however, they cannot disguise their hymn-like gesture. this must be the sound of a sunrise over the industrial area.

forgotten corner, khidja & cassini division first met on the desert planet of tatooine whilst attending a cosmic music festival at the galaxy renowned mos eisley cantina!…in a hash laden corner they bonded like wookies, jammed with the max rebo band & then roamed the desert plains of tatooine with the nomadic tusken raiders! no one knows exactly what happened but music ideas were exchanged & tracks were made ... here are two of them - rescued from tape, covered in cosmic cous cous purposely gathered by cassini from the rings of jupiter & smeared in hummus from the swamps of dagobah!
retrogott (retrogott & hulk hodn / huss & hodn) lernte den in santiago de chile lebenden brous one über eine musik-internetplattform kennen, auf der man sich über beats und samples austauschte. bereits kurze zeit später steuerte der damals erst 14-jährige brous one einen beat für den track keiner hats gesehen von huss & hodns erstem selbstgebrannten album unprofessionelle musik bei. die freundschaft der beiden wuchs und während eines sechsmonatigen aufenthalts des retrogotts bei brous ones familie in recoleta, santiago de chile nutzte man die zeit und nahm eine reihe von tracks auf retrogotts mitgebrachtem digitalem 4-tracker auf, die nun auf mote con huesillos zu finden sind.
2007 gabdas bis dahin völlig unbekannte rapduo huss und hodnihr debütalbum jetzt schämst du dich!zum besten und löste eine welle aus, die - so kommt es immer wieder zum ausdruck - den beiden künstlern so überhaupt nicht in den kram passte...deutschlands auflagenstärkstes hiphop magazin juice kürte das album - für das vom label entbs und den künstlern aus prinzip und ganz natürlich in keinster weise promotion gemacht wurde - kurzerhand zum demo des monats. es folgte ein exklusivtrack des duos auf der juice cd der folgeausgabe. mtv deutschland forderte das video hurensohnologie/pornofilmkaeseund strahlte es in der sendung mtv urbanzur freude der seher immer wieder aus...von null und - ohne weitere power ausser - hits im gepäck, zu fame & kultstatus in der szene! der boden war bereitet für den erfolg des zweiten albums der kölner crew der stoff, aus dem die regenschirme sind! album nr. 3 deutet im titel an um was es dieses mal geht. man hat sich umbenannt und ist immer noch das fresheste, was die rapublik zu bieten hat. rohe iq wunder raps, ein dreckiger sound auf in die fresse loops und das, worum es in der message geht: die gegners verbalgenial und kreativ zu demontieren...! hit!
