music from memorys final release of 2016 is an ep of works by a german trio formed in the city of wuppertal, in the late eighties. a one off and unique project, becker, stegmann and zeumer were asked to produce an album of recorded material after a string of successful concerts celebrating the work of local poet else lasker-schüler (1869–1945). tip. large!

electronic arts pioneer, activist and researcher konrad becker (aka monoton) teams up with vocalist sela for a project with a mission: unveiling operations in a shadow world of mediated realities. linking 21st century technology to ancient communication practices in several directions at once the hypermedia wizard and the young viennese singer celebrate the powers of media over matter. sound becomes a weapon against operation systems of containment and to be buried alive by technologies of symbolic domination. operations not only gives a voice to radical discourse - but basslines and a deep groove.

tobias becker ist vorwiegend als dj und labelchef bekannt. nach einer gemeinsamen platte mit gabriel ananda, seiner mix-cd >trallafitti< und einem remix mit rocco branco kommt mit der platzhirsch 20 >nuff un nunna< nun sein erstes solo-debut, welches sich nahtlos in seine durchdachte plattenauswahl einfügt: pumpende, hüftorientierte grooves ohne jeglichen schnickschnack, eingehüllt in dichte atmosphären. und das alles mit einer selbstverständlichkeit, die aufmerksamkeit erregt, weil sie - ganz gegen den trend der zeit - so natürlich ist. waidmanns heil!

the legendary club u60311 in frankfurt has opened up a brand-new hotspot for minimal right in the heart of the city, going by the name of 311. paired with this, an affiliated label - dreielf recordings - has also been launched. the residents michael kohlbecker, one part of the saafi brothers, and frankfurts newcomer peter eilmes are releasing the fruits of their cooperation in their home studio, and putting an already-established scene hit onto vinyl with - tabasco. the original of the record impresses with its anthemic character, which may have been due to the fat bass-line and the striking trumpet. despite its monotony, a real jewel for every record case and just the stuff to get happiness dripping from the club ceiling. the remix by alexi delano, on the other hand, is somewhat deeper and more melodic at the same time, but still contains all the ingredients necessary for a proper shot of tabasco. sonic monogamy or fat kick basses make this remix unique. the dominant trumpet and the scraping percussion of the berliner andre crom make this remix an absolute guarantee of ecstasy. tabasco is hot and burns like hell!
