belfast-producer space dimension controller, akajack hamill, may be landing his debut release on dekmantel, but hes definitely no stranger to their shores. with the three-track ep gaining time clocking in at over 35-minutes, phasing between cosmic kaleidoscopic house, and serene, epic ambient, a sonic atmosphere reminiscent of the background resonance the galaxy permeates on a daily basis hamills dekmantel debut is closer to that of an album, than your average set of club 12inches.

r&s welcomes back space dimension controllers jack hamill for a ep of his trademark future-funk, his first for the label since 2013. the exostack ep marks a welcome return from hamill to the kind of astro-boogie that made him a unifying favourite in any discerning dj’s record box. the title track is a masterclass of wide-eyed astral disco - cycling euphoric arpeggios underpinned by dubbed out bass riffs and swooning pads. unfurling over a sizeable 8 minutes, hamill justifies every second with a beguiling arrangement that takes the listener on a groove excursion of epic proportions. on the flip, red hot swede kornél kovács delivers a tuff rerub that jacks up the drums, and cools out the chords, twisting the original into a classic house roller. sdc original biopan finds hamill in more contemplative mood - pulsing drums, a subdued bass figure and woozy synth melodies combine to haunting effect.

der irische produzent und dj space dimension controller - bekannt von veröffentlichungen auf r&s, clone oder royal oak - veröffentlicht ende juli sein albumprojekt “orange melamine” auf ninja tune. darauf enthalten sind produktionen, die er 2008 im alter von gerade 18 jahren in seinem schlafzimmer in belfast bastelte. knackig, zerstreut und angenehm merkwürdig - “orange melamine” ist ein mit viel liebe produziertes und sehr persönliches album, das übernatürliche sounds und durchscheinende synthies mit einem gefühl von überquellender harmonie verwebt. das album bezieht seine inspiration aus alten vhs-tapes, die er von seinen brüdern und cousins bekam, sowie von künstlern wie boards of canada, brian eno oder william basinski. das album ist außerdem reich an audio- und filmreferenzen aus sci-fi filmen und animationen aus den 80er und 90er jahren. die palette reicht von streifen wie the guyver, short circuit, the gobots und ghostbusters bis hin zu the fifth element, escape from new york oder den power rangers. das doppel-vinyl erscheint im klappcover inklusive downloadcode.

once again the *space dimension controller* returns from the unknown sphere to the clone basecamp. this is the first in the new correlation series of releases by sdc. the vinyl version comes with a series of prints made by sdc himself. five different prints, each reffering with mood and colour use to one of the tracks on this correlation #1 release. with each record there is 1 print randomly inserted with the first pressing.

this, more or less, is the narrative thrust of jack hamills debut album as space dimension controller. welcome to mickrosektor-50 is a swashbuckling sci-fi odyssey that unfolds like some long-lost star wars episode scripted by philip k dick and scored by tangerine dream. the record is fantasy in its purest form: a futuristic boys own adventure concocted in a belfast bedroom, it is the sum of jacks musical influences distilled into 68 minutes of unalloyed electronic pleasure.

for this years anthem masters of noise and the beat controller (still in everyones ears with his current release: droppin heat) combined forces and engaged mc tha watcher for the vocals. this is hardcore at its best!

the b-side includes the track >fiction failure<, a cooperation with masters of hardcore artist re-style, well known at the moment for his syndicate anthem. last but not least we have >keep on rocking<, a surprisingly hard and driving track. definitely not the usual main-style as we would expect from this geezer!

the next generation has arrived... 19 yr old space dimension controller with his take on music history! the best ingredients from big inspirators innocently mixed together with a natural cool that gives him a own unique sound! dr dre s sexy funk combined with deep drexciya and the other peoples place vibes, early uk house and techno melodies from people such as plaid and boards of canada all stisiness. actually its not very fair coming with all these names since here since nobody sounds like sdc and sdc sounds like no one else! and thats what the people at clone like... artists with their own unique finger print. oh and did we already mention the remix of that other young bloke? 18 yr old kyle hall does a hell of a remix job here! two natural talents dropping a release that will be one of 2010 s hottest records for sure. the next generation is taking control!

major mainstyle alert! the beat controller is a young, but already well- experienced dutch dj and party organizer (confusion events). besides his dj skills, he already made himself a name with the track >handz on my ballz< in cooperation with angerfist. the track was released on the last angerfist album >mutilate<.
now its time for his first solo ep. both original tracks are rather hard & kickin, but yet still melodic and absolutely dancefloor-orientated. distorted revelation, known for their successful releases on knor, deliver a stunning remix in their unique own style which will also do well on the floor. all in all, a very strong (maybe the strongest) release on important hardcore yet.

full artwork sleeves. electronic / dubstep label kinnego records started by boxcutter out of northern ireland is back! after the success of the first release (by boxcutter himself) he introduces the masses to a producer named space dimension controller... the techno funk alias of 19 year old jack hamill. following on perfectly from boxcutter and kinnego fluxs a familiar sound on kgo001, it features 2 tracks of deep, loved up electro. equally inspired by both the tape warped soundtrack to garth merenghis darkplace and early aphex twin, jacks all analogue production gives his tracks a timeless sound thats a mile away from contemporary electro and house. the beats are low slung and funky, and the melodies are addictive and show a natural flair. on the love quadrant, a girl / boy vocal exchange sets the scene while the track builds momentum, before the whole thing spaces off on a sweet minimoog solo. on the flip, electropod 250 collision has a deep 808 pulse and flanged bass, topped off with detroit inspired melodies and blurred out reverbs.
